Sailors would die.
WE LEARN TODAY that the crew of the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt gave Captain Brent Crozier a rousing sendoff. If you haven’t been following this story, the captain was removed from command after a letter he wrote, demanding quick action to protect his crew, leaked to the press.
You know, the free press – what our Commander-in-Chief likes to call the “Enemies of the People.”
At least 114 sailors on the carrier had tested positive for COVID-19. Captain Crozier warned superiors that sailors would die if quick action weren’t taken to evacuate the ship and place his crew in quarantine. Thursday, Acting Secretary of the Navy Thomas Moody took quick action and canned the captain, making it more or less clear that Crozier was removed because the letter leaked.
Not because Crozier was wrong.
With the exception of a skeleton crew to maintain the
safety of the ship’s armament, the rest of the sailors, 3,700 men and women,
are to be taken ashore and put into isolation.

LET’S SEE. What else is in the news? Trump has refused to reopen enrollment for the Affordable Care Act, even as millions of Americans lose jobs, and with those jobs, lose healthcare insurance.
The president, of course, still has the red ass because he couldn’t come up with a way to kill the ACA, even though he said repeal and replace would be easy. Now, rather than have more Americans sign up for protection, he’d rather pout and see them do without coverage.
