12/28/19: In the second-to-last of 55 tweets yesterday, just minutes before midnight, Trump revealed the name, at least what he believes is the name of the whistleblower, in a retweet. He doesn’t care that the laws are written to protect the anonymity of whistleblowers. He doesn’t care if the whistleblower has been threatened with death if his/her identity is revealed.
He
doesn’t care because he is devoid of scruples and empathy.

Lawyer for
the whistleblower

That tweet stays up long enough to get more than 32,000 likes and 14,000 retweets. Then someone must have slapped the president’s phone out of his hand, and the tweet was deleted.
And let’s not forget what the whistleblower’s lawyers recently said.
Our client is legally entitled
to anonymity. Disclosure of the name of any person who may be suspected to be
the whistleblower places that individual and their family in great physical
danger. Any physical harm the individual and/or their family suffers as a
result of disclosure means that the individuals and publications reporting such
names will be personally liable for that harm. Such behavior is at the pinnacle
of irresponsibility and is intentionally reckless.
According to the Washington Post, the whistleblower is reportedly being driven to and from work by armed security.
So, remember when you vote.
President Trump has no problem putting an American family at serious risk of
harm.

AT 5:15 P.M., Trump doubles down on disgusting. He tweets reference to former F.B.I. Director James Comey: “A Dirty Cop at the highest level. Scum!”
Trump has no decency and no shame. His words often stir the worst of his supporters to hate.
In related news, The New York Times publishes a story on Trump fans who are preparing for violence. Many fear that the country is facing a Muslim invasion. Others make it clear that they hated Obama and admit race was a factor. One insists he’d have liked to see Hillary Clinton hanging from a tree. Mark Villalta tells a reporter he’s stockpiling firearms and ammunition ahead of the next election.
If Trump should lose, he warns, “Nothing less than a civil war would happen. I don’t believe in violence, but I’ll do what I got to do.”
He pats a pistol in a holster on his hip.
