November 10, 2019: Ukrainians Knew in May - Trump Would Require Them to Announce Investigation of the Bidens

 

11/10/19: Team Trump continues to keep the legal profession of this country operating at full capacity. According to the lawyer for Lev Parnas, while his client was helping Rudy Giuliani in Ukraine last May, he passed warning to the newly-elected government of President Volodymyr Zelensky. The Ukrainians would be required to announce an investigation into the dealings of Joseph R. Biden Jr., and Hunter, his son. Or else! The United States would freeze military aid. 

This revelation would destroy the main line of defense of Trump and his GOP enablers, since they like to insist: 

A)    No one in the Trump administration ever pushed a quid pro quo. 

B)     If they did hold up military aid (well, they did) the Ukrainians didn’t know it until September. 

C)    So, it couldn’t really be a quid pro quo. 

Parnas is saying the fix was in and the Ukrainians knew it months ago.

 

Meanwhile, the transcripts from the closed-door impeachment inquiry hearings continue to pour forth. 

You could say they’re not helping the president’s case.

THE PRESIDENT turns to Twitter, his final refuge, where he can lay out his goofy case. “The call to the Ukrainian President was PERFECT. Read the Transcript!” he tweets. “There was NOTHING said that was in any way wrong. Republicans, don’t be led into the fools trap of saying it was not perfect, but is not impeachable. No, it is much stronger than that. NOTHING WAS DONE WRONG!” 

(We’re kind of getting “Hitler refusing to allow a retreat from Stalingrad” from Trump at this point.)
