5/6/20: Sometimes, you get the feeling Big Business can’t really be trusted! (Liberal
sarcasm.) Right-wing television network Sinclair Broadcasting agrees to pay a $48 million fine. Crime: Basically,
lying in order to scoop up more stations than would have been allowed under FCC
rules.
Dr. Fauci, left, Dr. Deborah Birx, right. The White House has begun to silence their voices. |
Meanwhile, the White House makes it plain that Dr. Anthony Fauci will be blocked from testifying before Congress about the pandemic.
White House Press Liar Kayleigh McEnany says if Dr. Fauci is allowed to testify, Democrats will be mean.
And Fauci might give answers that make the numbskull in the
Oval Office sound bad. (See: 1/22/21 and 1/23/21.)

THIS WEEK, we also learn that Dr. Rick Bright, the former head of the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, an agency operating as a part of the Department of Health and Human Services, has filed a whistleblower complaint. In his complaint, he alleges he was moved to a lower position after he did his best to “prioritize science and safety over political expediency.”
Naturally.
This is the Trump administration, where people like the
MyPillow guy get the president’s ear, political hacks try to control the
“message” regarding the health threat to the American people, and experts are demoted.
Asked about the matter, Trump played dumb (Trump played Trump) and said he had heard Dr. Bright might be a
“disgruntled employee.” (See: 5/9/20.)

LAST, BUT NOT LEAST, the president and several top White House aides are concerned that coronavirus deaths are being overstated. If a hospital reports ten deaths, hey, maybe it was really one!
Trump doesn’t really care about the ten dead people. He’s not
that kind of guy. He only wants to avoid getting blamed for ten. He can handle
blame for one. (See 5/8/20.)
