May 12, 2020: Trump Spreads the Poison in More than One Way

The American Association of Poison Control Centers reports a wave of disinfectant-related calls in recent weeks. Time magazine provided the chart:

Nor does stupidity stop there. On Tuesday morning, Trump got mad while watching MSNBC. That led him to suggest via Twitter, without evidence, that Joe Scarborough, one of the morning hosts, might be a murderer. “When will they open a Cold Case on the Psycho Joe Scarborough matter in Florida. Did he get away with murder?” Trump wondered.

“Some people think so,” he continued. “Why did he leave Congress so quietly and quickly? Isn’t it obvious? What’s happening now? A total nut job!”

“Some people think so,” is Trump’s go-to mode for introducing scurrilous rumors, without admitting he’s spreading them himself. To this blogger’s knowledge, he never says who these “some people” might be.
