March 3, 2019: Even Trump's Nobel Peace Prize Nomination Was Bogus

3/3/19: You may have heard that President Donald J. Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Back in January, when the story broke, Henrik Urdal, manager of the Peace Research Institute in Oslo, told reporters that though Trump had been nominated the application “still lacks a strong academic justification.”

Still, what an honor!

You assumed the justification would soon be forthcoming.

It turned out someone had stolen the identity of an individual with the right to make nominations. Secretary Olav Njolstad of the Norwegian Nobel Committee explained, “As far as I know, this is the first example of someone nominating someone by stealing another person’s identity.”

So: No prize for Trump.
