6/24/21: In case you missed it, because
you were out mowing the grass, Michigan Republicans have blasted the “stolen
election” lie – as related to their state – to flinders.
Well...not in Michigan, you dope. |

“Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.”
Committee Chairman Ed McBroom

An eight-month investigation finds no voter fraud of any significance. It’s like Loser Donald insisted he had seen Bigfoot and authorities in Michigan had to chase it. Only, when they followed footprints, it turned out they were pursuing a vole.
“We must all remember: ‘extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof’ and ‘claiming to find something extraordinary requires first eliminating the ordinary,’” explained State Sen. Ed McBroom, the Republican chairman of the committee that investigated the election, said in a statement that accompanied their lengthy report.
The conclusion of the committee, supported by every Republican member was clear. “This Committee found no evidence of widespread or systematic fraud in Michigan’s prosecution of the 2020 election.”
McBroom told reporters that claims to the contrary were the result of “a misunderstanding or an outright deception.”
Misunderstanding? Not a problem. But deception?
He continued: “Also, sources must lose credibility when it is
shown they promote falsehoods, even more when they never take accountability
for those falsehoods.”
For example, a simple vote-entering error in Antrim County had been cited repeatedly in right-wing circles as proof of massive fraud in the Michigan election. McBroom swept that claim aside.
(Okay, stupid pun.)
"The Committee recommends the attorney general consider investigating those who have been utilizing misleading and false information about Antrim County to raise money or publicity for their own ends,” he noted, adding, “The many hours of testimony before the Committee showed these claims are unjustified and unfair to the people of Antrim County and the state of Michigan.”
In his statement, McBroom said, “All compelling theories that sprang forth from the rumors surrounding Antrim County are diminished so significantly as for it to be a complete waste of time to consider them further.”
Hear that, Trump fans? Hear that, Loser Donald? You lost. You’re a loser. Get over it.
You’re also a liar.
FUN FACT: We know Rejected-President Trump often insists that cemeteries vomited up their dead on Election Day 2020 and the zombies all voted for “Sleepy Joe.” One right-wing activist claimed to have a list of 10,000 “confirmed deceased” voters in Michigan. A pro-Trump website insisted that 14,000 dead Michiganders had trooped to the polls and filled out ballots for Biden with skeleton hands. In the real world, where we wish all Trump cultists would choose to live, Michigan investigators found two (2) entire cases of dead people voting in the state. One turned out to be a clerical error. The other was a matter of timing.
The BBC did its own checking and came to similar conclusions. The stolen election claims were absurd. So, let’s give the last word to one of the dead voters, tracked down by the free press, doing what President Trump fails to understand the free press is supposed to do. When the BBC contacted Roberto Garcia, a retired teacher in Michigan, who appeared on the lists of the dead, he turned out to be very much alive. Which he proved by answering his phone! “I’m definitely alive and I definitely voted for Biden,” he exclaimed. “I would have to have been dead to vote for Trump.”
