1/10/22: You knew Rejected-President Trump wasn’t about to take a dose of truth lying down. He spits it back up at once, and spews bile with it. In a statement from the Land of Delusion, he slaps back at Sen. Rounds.

Pence says Trump lost. Because he did.
It’s classic Trumpian thought. Which means it’s stupid. If a printed page could scream, this one would be howling:

Mike Rounds of the Great State of South Dakota just went woke on the Fraudulent
Presidential Election of 2020. He made a statement this weekend on ABC Fake News,
that despite massive evidence to the contrary, including much of it pouring in
from Wisconsin, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and other states, he
found the election to be ok – just fine. Is he crazy or just stupid? The
numbers are conclusive, and the fraudulent and irregular votes are massive. The
only reason he did this is because he got my endorsement and easily won his
state in 2020, so now he thinks he has time, and those are the only ones, the
weak, who will break away. Even though his election will not be coming up for
five years, I will never endorse this jerk again.
It’s
RINOs like this that are allowing the Democrats to destroy our nation! Our Borders,
our Military, our Economy, Inflation, the horrible handling of the China Virus
and Afghanistan, and rampant crime throughout our Democrat-run cities are
ripping our Country apart. We are a laughingstock throughout the world when we
were respected and even feared just 1 year ago. There were no thoughts of
Russia with Ukraine, China with Taiwan, Iran with nuclear weapons, or North
Korea with nasty statements.
The
Radical Left Democrats and RINOS, like “Senator” Mike Rounds, do not make it
easy for our Country to succeed. He is a weak and ineffective leader, and I
hereby firmly pledge that he will never receive my Endorsement again!
Here then is the former president at his irrational best. You have the honorific “Senator” in parentheses, which makes no sense, and the idiotic, random Capitalization. Plus the !!! we have come to love when the poor man is upset.
Trump’s response is so
ridiculous, even I get a laugh. First, there is no “massive evidence” of voter
fraud. We saw that again last month when Georgia found that a grand total of four
dead people voted – where Trump had claimed the number was 5,000 or more (see:
12/28/22) and Texas, where red state voter fraud bird dogs can’t flush more
than one or two grouses out of the sagebrush. (See: January 1, 2022.)

It’s fun, too, to see the petty insults fly – which we miss, perhaps, with the saner, duller Joe Biden seated in the Oval Office.
Acting all normal, and shit.
So, we have the “jerk,” and
the “crazy” and the “stupid.” Just like old times.
Then there’s the completely tone-deaf list of nations we supposedly didn’t have to worry about when Trump was in charge. “Russia with Ukraine?” Has Trump forgotten that he got impeached for asking Ukraine to help him win the last election? Iran? They started up their nuclear production operations again – while the Orange Nitwit was in office. North Korea? Didn’t Donald once say they were no longer a nuclear threat because of his genius for negotiating with his “friend,” Kim Jong-un? And “China with Taiwan?” Jesus. China has been increasing the pressure on Taiwan for years – and crushed the last embers of dissent in Hong Kong, while Donnie sat back in the White House and tweeted away the hours that hung heavy on his hands.
Sen. Rounds responded to the president’s attack later that day. On Twitter, he posted a statement that read in part:
I’m
disappointed but not surprised by the former president’s reaction. However, the
facts remain the same. I stand by my statement. The former president lost the
2020 election.
This
isn’t new information. If we’re being honest, there was no evidence of
widespread fraud that would have altered the results of the election. To that
point, nearly all of my Senate Republican colleagues acknowledged this last
January. During the electoral certification process, we did our due diligence
and looked at the challenges made by the former president’s lawyers. Over 90
senators agreed that there was not enough evidence to overturn the results and,
therefore, certified the election as our Constitution calls for.
Additionally,
Vice President Mike Pence stood his ground, acknowledged President Biden’s
victory and acted with integrity.
So, allow me to fill in a couple of blanks. Who isn’t acting with integrity, and hasn’t for more than a year? Donald J. Trump.
Who’s not being honest?
Same guy.
FUN FACT: Sen. Mitch McConnell was one of several Republicans to back up his colleague, telling reporters, “I think Sen. Rounds told the truth about what happened in the 2020 election. And I agree with him.”
“I’ve always said I agree that the election was not stolen – at least to the degree that it was illegal theft,” agreed Sen. Kevin Cramer, a North Dakota Republican.
“I say to my colleague, welcome to the club,” Sen. John Thune, the senior South Dakota Republican said of the Trump attack on Rounds – something he has endured himself in the past.
You know what he really wanted to say was, “Trump is an
ill-informed dick.”
“I take great exception to anybody that calls Mike Rounds a jerk,” Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, a West Virginia Republican, added. “Because he’s one of the kindest, nicest, most sincere members that we have.”
Or, again: Trump is a dick.

TRUMP, of course, is not the only right-wing type spreading total nonsense. A group of 270 health care experts, doctors and scientists call out Spotify for “allowing the propagation of false and societally harmful assertions.” The claims of Mr. [Joe] Rogan and his guests have been “medically and culturally dangerous.” They note, for example, that unvaccinated 12-34 year-olds, the demographic that listens to Rogan, are twelve times as likely to be hospitalized with COVID as those who are vaccinated.
Signatories include a professor at Harvard Medical School, an epidemiological researcher, multiple nurse practitioners, a senior biochemist, nurses, doctors, anesthesiologists and even one dentist.
The anti-vaxxers? They’ve got Joe Rogan.
