“ARE YOU WILLING TO FUCKING DIE FOR THIS SHIT?”
PART XIX
(Rioters #950-1128.)

Henry David Thoreau.
____________________
LOOKING BACK NOW, after compiling this mountain of evidence, it can be hard to remember the reaction of Republican members of Congress, in weeks just after the January 6, 2021, riot.
They could hardly deny that they – like their Democratic colleagues – had been forced to flee for safety that day.
“We proudly take responsibility for storming the Castle.”
Yet, both Rep. Andrew Clyde of Georgia and Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona tried. It was Clyde who famously insisted that what occurred that day was nothing more than a “normal tourist visit.”
Congressman Clyde was assuming (one would guess) that ordinary tourists would injure 140 police officers, many badly, that one tourist would be shot and killed, that another tourist would be trampled to death by fellow tourists. And that the whole group would be howling, “Hang Mike Pence” for fun and yelping about unleashing “civil war.”
A normal tourist visit.
As for Gosar, in May 2021, he described the first wave of arrests, related to the attack, as the Department of Justice “harassing peaceful patriots across the country.” He went on to insist, “Outright propaganda and lies are being used to unleash the national security state against law-abiding U.S. citizens, especially Trump voters.”
Law-abiding U.S. citizens.
Nor should we forget Rep. Ralph Norman. He tried to claim (as did many on the right) that the attackers weren’t Trump fans at all. “I don’t know who did the poll,” he grumbled after a national poll made it clear that almost anyone with eyeballs realized who formed the mob, “to say that they were Trump supporters.”
Even though, in interviews, and now in court records, we know thousands of them said that they were.
Sadly, the fairy tale story of the attack that wasn’t an attack – or was, but wasn’t the violent work of Trump supporters – was boosted by prevaricating fools like Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin. He blamed the attack on “fake Trump protesters” and “agents provocateurs,” or “leftist agitators.”
And, of course, there was the lunatic president, saying people who stormed the Capitol were “hugging and kissing” police.
Hugging and kissing police.
Who were those people who stormed the Capitol two years ago? Jonathan Mellis (#231 on our list) spoke to that question just hours after the riot. “Don’t you dare try to tell me that people are blaming this on antifa and BLM,” he said. He was MAGA all the way, adding, “We proudly take responsibility for storming the Castle.”
As for this myth of tourists, hugging and kissing police, and showing up to lodge a legitimate protest, here’s what one D.C. police commander told investigators. His officers would have had ample reason to open fire on the crowd.
How, then, was such an outcome avoided?
A: How we prevented it was our training. We
train not to fire into a crowd. But that doesn’t, that doesn’t still not allow
an individual officer to make a use-of-deadly-force decision on their own part.
Some of the assaults that were occurring against our members, take it away from
the west front of the Capitol, put on a routine call for police service, and
they’d have been more than justified in discharging their firearms.
Think
of that. Trump and his allies stirred up a mob – and only the training of good
cops prevented a bloodbath.
Once
more, we add fresh names to our list:
*
950. Austin Carter: Mr. Carter is a kind of “bonus” entry on this list. He is not charged with entering the Capitol Building on January 6. He is charged, however, as of December 17, 2022, with conspiring to attack the F.B.I. office in Knoxville, Tennessee and kill as many agents as possible.
Who allegedly recruited Carter, 26, and asked him for help committing murder most foul?
Edward Kelley (#737 on our list).
UPDATE: On November 10, 2023, Carter admitted that he plotted, with Kelly, to kill up to 37 people, mainly F.B.I. agents who were working on bringing Kelly to justice, for his part in the riot. Carter was a security officer and member of the Army Reserves at the time of his arrest in December 2022.
Right-wing type, violent.
*
Who was he willing to kill – if any?
951. WILLIAM STEPHON KIT: Mr. Kit has been described as a “pro-Trump media influencer,” known online as “Semore Views.”
Semore got at least two too many views, when federal
agents looked at videos he
posted
during the riot, showing him entering the Capitol Building.
“Are
you willing to fucking die for this shit?” Kit can be heard shouting in one
video. “We are here to die for this shit today.”
Kit
also filmed himself walking into the Capitol through the Senate Wing door. Once
inside the building, he can be heard asking, “Where are those goddamn
politicians at? [We’re] taking over the goddamn Capitol.”
It was fun while it lasted. Kit was charged with several federal offenses. On a positive note, he didn’t die for “this shit.”
It’s too bad others did – and, as mentioned several times before – you have to wonder who Kit, who said he was willing to die, would have been willing to kill on the other side of the political divide.
He has agreed to plead guilty to a single misdemeanor charge – with a maximum of 180 days in jail.
At his sentencing, Mr. Kit’s lawyer asks the judge to go easy on his client. Kit, he says, was “under the influence of the chief executive,” adding that Kit “joined demonstrators who listened to the chief executive[.]”
Only they weren’t demonstrators – they were part of a planned insurrection, meant to overturn fair results of a presidential election.
The judge gives Kit 30 days in jail to ponder his stupidity. As a bonus, he must
complete 40 hours of community service.
Trump
supporter.

Planeload of patriot dopes.
952. VINCENT JAMES ARDOLINO: Don’t take pictures of yourself rioting if you want to avoid arrest and prosecution.
This advice is too late to do Mr. Ardolino any good, since he photographed himself in several compromising locations inside the Capitol. As for his intent, he posted this on Facebook, prior to January 6: “Almost to DC to help stop the coup taking place. Turns out this plane is loaded with fellow patriots going to fight the political corruption that has infected our Government like the CCP virus.”
Mr. Ardolino also noted that for such a large airplane as he was on it was “hella crampt.”
In short order, he was arrested and decided to plead guilty. Next came sentencing. Not for the first time, a lawyer asked the judge for mercy for his client. In Ardolino’s case, his attorney insisted, his poor client was led down the primrose path by none other than Donald J. Trump.
Vincent
believed then-President Trump and his surrogates when they claimed that there
was election fraud, and that the election had been stolen. Vincent did not and
could not believe that the then-President and his surrogates – a number of whom
were former law enforcement, sitting senators (including Ted Cruz and Lindsey
Graham), and former federal prosecutors (Rudolph Giuliani, Sidney Powell, and
Joseph diGenova), all individuals charged with faithfully enforcing the laws – would
make up such a claim from whole cloth.
Well.
They did.
His lawyer’s plea was impressive. Vincent was raised by a single mother, a “latch key” kid growing, up. He and his mom were on food stamps for years, when they were still stamps, and he was later “lured” by a promise of toys, by a neighbor and sexually assaulted. Once, he was home alone when his house was burglarized. He had a bad stepfather, too, “strict and overbearing.”
He triumphed. He became a regular attendee at church. He started his own business. He was a devoted stepfather himself. The problem, of course, was that Ardolino believed Donald Trump. He heard the president’s call to come to Washington D.C. on January 6. According to his attorney, “As [Vincent] explained to a friend, ‘I’ve never been to D.C. before but when President Trump said to be in DC on the 6th, I couldn’t stand by and not answer the call.’”
“As it turns out,” his lawyer correctly noted, “Vincent and the rest of the public were told an inflammatory lie by a sitting President and surrogates that the election had been stolen, and democracy was being threatened by an opposing political party.”
For his pains, Ardolino gets sentenced to three years’ probation, and is ordered to pay $4,100 in fines and restitution.
Trump supporter, he believed the
election was stolen.
*
953. DALE HUTTLE: Mr. Huttle is seen in several videos from the day of the riot, striking police officers at the first line of barricades.
Ironically, his weapon of choice is a long flagpole carrying the “Stars and Stripes.” (Can we say right here that maybe Colin Kaepernick kneeling before football games doesn’t look so bad now?)
At one point, during the march to the Capitol, after President Trump spoke, Dale is heard saying,
“Think
we ought to bum rush the Capitol building,” “Arrest them all,” and “We have
enough people to do that.” In other videos obtained from MATTHEW HUTTLE’s
Google account, an individual whose voice was similar to that of DALE HUTTLE
can be heard saying: “Let’s go, let’s go, storm the front,” “Let’s squeeze our
way up there,” “Breach it!” and “Are you ready to go to jail? Let’s go.”
The elder Huttle faced four charges, including one for felony assault. (See #954, below, for the nephew.)
And
now we know. “Are you ready to go to jail?” Well, Mr. Huttle, 71, is going to
get his chance. He pleads guilty to one charge of assault with a deadly weapon, and in return all other charges are dropped.
Huttle, circled in red, attacks police. |
In a defense memo from his case, Huttle’s lawyer says, by way of excuse, that “misinformed as he was, Mr. Huttle was 100% sure that election fraud had occurred.”
So who told him the election was stolen? The fat guy who lives today in luxury at Mar-a-Lago.
Dale? He’s going to spend 30 months in prison, and he’s on the hook for $3,639 in restitution.
Trump supporter, violent,
he believed the election was
stolen.
*
954. MATTHEW HUTTLE: Matthew is Dale’s nephew. Like his uncle, he was facing criminal charges for his (lesser) role in the attack on January 6. Video evidence showed Matthew entering the building at 2:58 p.m., then exiting briefly and reentering, finally exiting a second time at 3:16 p.m.
The younger Mr. Huttle faced two misdemeanor charges as a result of his actions, and in August 2023, pled guilty to one.
As for his “motivation” that day, in a plea for leniency during the sentencing phase of his case his lawyer explained. “Matt has his grievances with the government and the imbalance of power in the country, but he’s not a true believer in any political cause. He instead went to the [Trump “Stop the Steal”] rally because he thought it would be a historic moment and he had nothing better to do after getting out of jail.”
That is, young Huttle had been jailed for a DUI, and on release had been asked by his uncle to drive with him to the Capitol.
We can now report that young Huttle will have something “better to do,” to kick off the New Year 2024. He’ll be spending six months in the slammer – and maybe he’ll see some old jailhouse pals.
He also owes the government $500. Let’s hope his uncle sends him letters while he (Matthew) is in the cooler.
(Dale could be joining him soon.)
Trump supporter.

955-956.
Scott and Holly Christensen:
The Christensens look harmless in photos, and if they lived on your street,
they almost surely would be.
Scott and Holly don't appear dangerous. |
The problem is that the mass of rioters on January 6, including the non-violent types, lent force to what was for many that day a blind, deaf and dumb effort to overthrow American democracy.
Scott, 49, has worked as a realtor in Puyallup, Washington, and also a pastor, and youth pastor at churches in Tacoma.
Holly, 44, like her husband, was hit with federal misdemeanor charges.
Mr. Christensen could be seen in videos, inside the Capitol, during the attack. At one point he accosts an officer to ask, “Which amendment are you protecting now?” He and his wife remained inside for over an hour, until escorted out by police as authorities finally restored calm.
For Pastor Christensen the question would be: “Which article of the U.S. Constitution were you and other rioters trampling upon?”
Whatever answer Pastor Christensen might have chosen to provide, he and his wife have now plead guilty.
(A little additional digging indicates that the couple traveled all that way to Washington D.C. to attend the “Stop the Steal” rally. For whatever reason, Mr. Christensen was carrying a walkie-talkie. In his youth, he had given tours of the Capitol as a congressional intern – and on January 6, he and his wife were two of only a few rioters to make it all the way up to the fourth floor of the building. He and Holly roamed about the premises for more than an hour before finally being forced to exit.)
Trump supporters (both).

“For too long has Satan ran this country!”
957. JORDAN KENNETH STOTTS: Once again, Facebook meant doom for one of the Capitol Hill rioters.
A former classmate of Stotts turned him in after he posted statements like this:
For too
long our voices have gone unheard! For too long our lives have been slowly
taken! For too long has Satan ran this country! They attack our religious
freedom, freedom of speech, and our freedom to do as we please! They work for
us and have no right telling us what we can and can’t do! I’m sick of it and so
are the Patriots! With God on our side we will prevail!
And:
The
story of the siege: It all started by scaling a wall as we broke into the U.S.
Capital [sic] to strike fear into the sold out Congress. We were tear gassed
and 2 people were shot. We were peaceful but the police were not. Police were aggressive
and on the wrong side! They got us out but it’s far from over! 1776!
And: “They call us terrorists, we are patriots. Each one a George Washington! Most of them are Benedict Arnolds! Sold out to China and Satan!”
When interviewed by a federal agent, Stotts made it plain, “he was a supporter of President Trump and saw that President Trump wanted supporters to come to Washington, D.C. for a rally.”
So, he went. He rioted. He got arrested. And convicted. The harmless fool spent his time inside the Capitol Building roaming around, chanting, and snapping pictures and videos. For his efforts, he received 60 days’ home confinement, 60 hours of community service and will spend the next two years on probation.
He must also pay $500 in restitution.
Trump “sent us,” QAnon believer.
*
958. WILLIAM COTTON: Mr. Cotton, 53, was representing Rhode Island on January 6, when he joined the mob that breached the U.S. Capitol. He was not arrested till December 2022, but must have been worried.
In at least one photo from that day he was clearly visible, with his long, gray-black hair, inside the building.
Originally, he faced four charges, and was said to have been inside the Capitol for only about 25 minutes.
Prosecutors noted that he could be seen in one video from that day, chanting “traitor” along with other MAGA fans of Mr. Trump.
He has since pled guilty to one misdemeanor, and he was placed on probation, and docked $500 for being a dope, and apparently believing in Donald Trump.
(LIKELY TRUMP SUPORTER.)
*
959-961. SAUL LLAMAS, JORDAN SIEMERS and RYAN SWOOPE: According to charging documents, the trio, traveled to D.C. together from Perry, Ohio. They entered the Capitol Building together around 3:08 p.m. that fateful day, and exited nine minutes later. That level of participation would not have merited much punishment – but the problems the three men face become more serious when Swoope tries to lead them back into the building, by spraying an “orange chemical substance” in the faces of police.
One
officer – who was wearing no protective gear – was blinded by the spray for twenty minutes. Another officer poured an
entire five gallon drinking water container on his face to help him cleanse his
face.
Swoope, 28, was turned in by a relative – which could make future family Christmases awkward.
Mr. Swoope was hit with multiple charges, including five felonies. His friends faced misdemeanor charges.
Llamas, for starters, plead guilty. His punishment: $3,000 in fines and restitution, 120 hours of community service, and 18 months on probation.
So has Ms. Siemers, who gets a slightly lesser punishment: $2,000 wasted, 60 hours of community service, and a year on probation.
Swoope lasted the longest in the U.S. court system; in the end he pled guilty to one charge of felony assault. To be precise, Swope was inside the Capitol, at first, for eleven minutes. Later, he rejoined the battle at another entrance. “At 3:52 p.m., Swoope sprayed a canister of chemical irritant into the vestibule, striking a USCP sergeant in the face and blinding the officer for 20 minutes.”
(The three Ohioans traveled to D.C. together, just to hear Trump speak on January 6, like lemmings.)
On January 9, 2024, three years, and three days after the attack, Swoope is sentenced to 51 months behind bars for his actions.
In addition, he is fined $2,000.

Another racist.
962. RYAN SETH SULESKI: Finally! We have a rioter brought down by his own TikTok videos! According to court documents, Suleski posted videos to the site, bragging during one about being part of the “initial wave of people that forced our way into the Capitol building.” He went on to say that he “got tear gas grenaded” and “got hit with some rubber bullets.”
A second TikTok user tipped off authorities to another video Suleski posted. The tipster, identified as “User 1,”
recorded
another, older video published on the Mustafas_Pride TikTok account, dated June
1, 2020. This second video, a warning to Black Lives Matter protesters, showed
an assault rifle with a scope lying on a table, and an extended magazine lying
next to it. Text superimposed on the video read, “wanna come up to white
neighborhoods…We Ready.” SULESKI’s name also appeared at the bottom of the
post.
A second tipster, “User 2” included a clip from the first video, only longer, during which Suleski admits “today was fucking nuts. But, we got our point across. We showed how weak their defense was. And we showed Congress that America is tired of being fucking quiet and that we’re about that life.”
When interviewed by F.B.I. agents, Suleski told them he was a “Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealer,” which should make every fan of the Second Amendment (and racism, and rioting) proud.
After TikTok disabled his original account, Suleski was back at it with an inaptly named “liberty lion” account.
Suleski was also accused of picking up documents inside the Capitol and taking them with him, which garnered him a bonus felony charge. The judge was merciful, however, and Suleski got only sixty days in the slammer, sixty hours of community service, and an order to cough up $500 in restitution.
On a happier note, the newly minted felon did have a souvenir from the riot that he could cherish forever: the rubber bullet that hit him in the back of one leg. Assuming authorities didn’t confiscate it as evidence.
Trump supporter, ready for violence.
*
“Storm it, girl, storm it!”
963. ERIC CHRISTIE: Like any other good “tourist” coming to D.C. to protest the results of an election, Mr. Christie (from Sherman Oaks, California) had what appeared to be a hammer tucked in his belt.
During the attack, Christie draped himself in a rainbow flag and wore a sweatshirt carrying the words “Fags for Trump.”
It wasn’t until December 22, 2022, that authorities showed up at his home. Christie first pointed a gun and warned federal agents, “Better come in here shooting.” Then he decided to hole up inside for several hours, perhaps hoping, if he could hold out till 2025, Trump would be reelected, and he’d garner a pardon.
Christie had previously been photographed at various rallies in support of Trump in the Los Angeles area; and he had traveled to D.C. on November 14, 2020, to participate in the “Million MAGA March.”
At one point, in the aftermath of the riot, he
ran into a friend, who gave him a baseball she had stolen from Nancy Pelosi’s
office. Christie held onto it until the friend got nervous. Her lawyer finally asked
for it to be returned.
UPDATE (December 1, 2023): He has since admitted he was armed with a hammer during the riot – but his lawyer insists he only wanted to be able to protect himself from Antifa types, should he be brutally attacked.
He was never attacked by Antifa types, but in August 2023, he was convicted on multiple charges, related to his participation in the insurrection. He now awaits sentencing on both felony and misdemeanor charges.
We also learn later that Mr. Christie was the only rioter that day known to have shouted, “Storm it, girl, storm it!”
According to Ryan J. Reilly, Christie is sent home in December 2023, after a judge sentences him to “time served,” although how much that was remains clear. It would seem to have been roughly 11 months.

Donald Trump didn’t win. And you’re going to
jail.
964. AGNIESKA CHWIESIUK: Agnes – may we call you Agnes? You were arrested after federal agents recovered photos from your brother Karol’s damaged cellphone (Karol Chwiesiuk is #324 on our list). Those photos showed both of you inside the Capitol during the riot.
Isn’t that so?
When federal agents showed up to arrest your brother, a Chicago cop, himself, you asked, “Are you going to arrest me too?”
Eighteen months later you finally had an answer. It was “yes,” and you were charged with four misdemeanors.
Text messages said to have been found on your brother’s phone, related to events of that disastrous moment in American history, include:
“Knocked out a commie last night. Don’t tell.”
“We inside the capitol lmfao”
“N**** don’t snitch”
Hope you and Karol had fun. It appears you were only inside the Capitol for eight minutes; but you still asked for a jury trial in your case, and the jury heard all the evidence, and your dumb ass got convicted on all four misdemeanor charges, and now your dumb ass may end up sitting in a dumb ass jail.
And by the way, Donald Trump was a lying pile of excrement, and he wasn’t cheated out of the win in 2020.
UPDATE: On January 24, 2024, a
grand total of 1,177 days since the last presidential election – and still no
proof in any state or federal court that the 2020 election was actually rigged
– Ms. Chwiesiuk catches a break. Her dumb ass, and her brother’s dumb ass, are
not going to jail.
Her sentence: three months on home confinement, three years on probation, $500 fine, 200 hours of community service.
Trump
supporter.
*
965. ANDREW PAUL JOHNSON: Mr. Johnson may be the only rioter to dress for the event on January 6 in a Harvard sweatshirt and red and gray checked scarf, in school colors. Whether or not he actually attended Harvard, we do not know.
We do know he was dumb enough to get arrested for a city-wide curfew violation that same night.
It took authorities nearly two years to track him down, but he has eventually charged with entering the Capitol earlier that day. The Naples, Florida was charged with four federal offenses.
He eventually entered through a broken window, and ended up in at least one Senate office that was trashed. He exited not long after – going as he came, but remained on Capitol Hill grounds until 7:15 p.m., when he got arrested. This behavior costs him a year in prison, and he owes $2,836 in fines and restitution.
On
April 15, 2024, he pled guilty.
(POLITICAL AFFILIATION UNKNOWN.)
FUN WITH “TOURISTS:” According to the final report of the January 6 Committee, from attendees at the Trump rally that morning, including only those whose backpacks were searched, the following “tourist” items were confiscated.
Apparently, many were planning as if going to Glacier National Park, where grizzlies can be a threat, because “242 cannisters of pepper spray,” were taken from them. Also taken: “269 knives/blades, 18 brass knuckles, 18 tasers, 6 pieces of body armor, 3 gas masks, 30 batons or blunt instruments & scissors, needles or screwdrivers.”
And if you don’t know it, hundreds of other
Trump fans decided to leave bags outside the rally area, rather than have
them searched. Or they skipped the rally and headed straight for the Capitol, primed
for civil war.
*
966. PETER MICHAEL KRILL: Mr. Krill, 54, qualifies as the proverbial duck. If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, and wears duck-themed regalia, it’s a f**king duck.
Or, in this case, a MAGA duck.
I think we can also agree that this duck does not look like he came to D.C. to hug and kiss police officers on January 6, as President Trump later characterized the rioters’ and their behavior. Nor, as can be seen in a video Krill took during the attack, do members of the mob appear to be acting like “ordinary tourists.”
In October 2023, Krill pleads guilty to one felony charge, making him the 839th rioter to plead guilty or be convicted.
The Department of Justice details his crime that day in a press release:
According to court
documents, Krill traveled from his home in New Jersey to attend the “Stop the
Steal” rally on Jan. 6, 2021. After the rally, Krill, wearing camouflage pants,
a “Trump 2020” sweatshirt, a helmet, and goggles, walked to the U.S. Capitol
building with a large crowd to protest Congress’ certification of the Electoral
College.
At approximately 1:35 p.m.,
Krill moved to the front of a large crowd that had begun clashing with United
States Capitol Police and Metropolitan Department Police officers along the
permitter of bike rack barriers on the West Front of the Capitol grounds. Krill
then grabbed part of the bike rack barricade and pulled it away from the
officers, causing a confrontation between police and rioters. A group of
protestors, including Krill, then broke through the perimeter.
That made Krill one of the first to break through police defenses, and soon after he entered the Capitol Building.
And what prize does he win – for believing in the Orange God? Krill gets sentenced to nine months in prison, and must pay $2,000 in restitution.
Trump supporter.
Krill dressed for a riot. |
*
967. SCOTT MILLER: Mr. Miller took off from work on January 6, 2021, telling his boss he had totaled his truck and had to go shopping for new transportation. What he really needed to do was head for Washington D.C. and participate in the riot.
The Smithsburg, Maryland man, 36, was arrested just nine days before Christmas 2022, nearly two years after the riot. Initially, he found himself facing multiple charges, including one for felony assault. That is: using a long wooden pole to batter several officers.
He remained under home confinement starting in December 2022, and had to seek special permission to leave the home and get a haircut. He agreed to plead guilty and see what his final punishment would be.
In January 2024, his formal guilty plea is entered.
The Justice Department includes this reminder in its news release, regarding his arrest:
Anyone with tips can call 1-800-CALL-FBI
(800-225-5324) or visit tips.fbi.gov.
Originally, I had him listed as:
(POLITICAL AFFILIATION UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME.)
New information, by way of Kyle Cheney, the senior legal affairs writer at Politico helps clear up where Miller stands. According to court documents, prior to the attack, he made his beliefs clear.
Yep. Neo-Nazi:
Only the National Justice Party has the will to
break this corrupt cabal once and for all. We are mobilizing the toughest, most
resilient and most politically savvy elements of White America in order to wage
a real struggle for our country and for our birthright…The sham of this
election is the wake up call to all decent White Americans to the existential
peril we face, to the ruthless and malevolent nature of the system, and the
need to put aside all fear and hesitation in the fight for our future.
He also wrote:
If one takes a deep enough look into who has been
driving the communist and capitalist empires of the 20th century they can see
the dark hands of Judaism being rubbed together behind closed doors while their
puppets and pawns fight each other in public to fight for their jewish masters.
“National socialism,” Miller writes, “opposes the evil forces of Judaism so that the best people of the world can flourish and be perfected.”
And, for fun, Miller had a Halloween costume – a police shirt, bearing the name “Chauvin,” and the words, “Minneapolis Police,” to honor the man who knelt on George Floyd’s neck until he died.
At sentencing, Mr. Miller’s wife spoke – and said she was working to help him rid himself of “disgusting” beliefs. She was 20 weeks pregnant, she said, and Judge Tanya Chutken was sympathetic to her, and the couple’s soon to be born child. She told the defendant that fatherhood could be “life changing,” and said she believed, “Every person is capable of redemption.”
Still, he would be jailed for 66 months.
Right-winger, he believed the election was
stolen.

The officer “collapsed and temporarily lost consciousness.”
968. ISRAEL JAMES EASTERDAY: Easterday was arrested in Florida, on December 15, 2022, and charged with participation in the attack. He faced a battery of charges, including one particularly egregious felony for spraying a police officer in the eyes with a chemical agent. At least one officer “collapsed and temporarily lost consciousness.” Easterday could be seen in one picture, taken earlier on the day of the attack, perched in a tree, holding a Confederate battle flag. He was – of course – sporting an “I Love Trump” stocking cap.
Kind of the uniform of the day.
Certainly, a document presented by his lawyer to the court offered up a unique explanation for Easterday’s involvement in events of January 6, 2021. Basically, the defendant didn’t know what he was doing (I think is the gist) because he grew up living in the nineteenth century:
Until he was approximately 12 years old, Mr.
Easterday’s family traveled by horse and buggy, and went to a nearby town only
two or three times a year. His family home was not connected to an electrical
grid and used water from a well. He wore simple clothes with a hat and
suspenders, and was home-schooled until he was 15 years old, when he began
working full time on his family’s farm. He served as the family’s primary cow-milker
from the age of around five until he left home at age 18 ½.
As of October 26, 2023, this we know. Mr. Easterday will be spending a sizable chunk of the twenty-first century in a jail cell. A jury convicts him on nine separate charges, including six felonies, including several for assault.
During his sentencing hearing, his lawyer says his client “did not plan on going to Washington, D.C. on January 6 until his uncle invited him to tag along with a group of fellow Trump supporters to attend the Stop the Steal Rally.” And though he carried the Rebel banner, he had to google “what does the rebel flag represent,” beforehand.
On April 22, the judge cuts the young man a serious break. Israel was 19 at the time of the riot, and prosecutors had been asking for a sentence of twelve years; Citing his youth, Judge James Boasberg gave him 30 months, but added this warning for all Americans. “January 6th was no less than an intent and an effort to replace by force who our country had voted for,” the judge explained. “The mob was there because it hadn’t achieved what it wanted to at the ballot box.”

969. Bryan Shawn Smith: Mr. Smith, 36, a U.S. Army veteran, joined the list of Capitol Hill arrestees just a few days before Christmas 2022. He was charged with a variety of crimes, including “sparking a stun gun,” and passing it forward to other rioters who were battling police in a tunnel. That weapon was later used to assault at least one police officer defending Congress.
Mr. Smith entered the tunnel at least three times himself, to join in the violent fight against the police.
He spends at least part of his Christmas season in 2022, sweating his indictment, and part of the 2023 holidays worrying, and in May 2024, he gets his riotous ass convicted on multiple felony and misdemeanor counts.
(He even took a leave of absence from work to go to Washington and cavort with other Trump fans.)
Violent.

Pay for jail!
970. SHELLY VARNEY: Shelly and her husband, Neil Ashcraft (#865 on our list), made the drive from their home in Sanford, Florida, to Washington D.C., straight up I-95 for 830 miles. The excited, but ill-informed duo arrived just in time to join the attack on American democracy. Ashcraft had so much fun, he scaled the scaffolding set up outside the Capitol, in preparation for the Biden inauguration. From this lofty perch, he exhorted other rioters to storm the building.
Ms. Varney was originally identified only as “Person 1” in documents related to their case; but she has since been identified and agreed to plead guilty. She entered the Capitol at around 2:45 p.m. that day, remaining until 3:05 p.m., exiting after her husband contacted her by phone.
Ashcraft had stolen a U.S. flag and pole from the Capitol that day, but after returning home, the couple decided to burn the evidence.
Varney faced sentencing on two felony counts, each carrying a penalty of no more than a year in jail.
The blogger didn’t know this was even possible, but her plea deal also stipulates that a fine may be imposed, large enough to cover the costs “of any imprisonment, term of supervised release, and period of probation.”
In the end, she gets off with a lesser sentence that she probably hoped for: 24 days in jail, probation, $1,500 in fines and restitution.

971. MICHAEL LOCKWOOD: Mr. Lockwood was arrested just nine days before Christmas 2022. His doom was sealed after federal agents got a hit on him, using facial recognition software.
Then his granny offered a positive ID.
Lockwood can be seen wresting a police baton from an officer’s hands, during the melee. (Later, he bragged on social media to a friend that he still had the baton: “Got me a little souvenir from wednesday,” he said.)
He found himself facing a battery of charges, including felony assault. At his initial hearing, he was represented by a public defender.
On July 25, 2023, he took the best deal he could. Guilty – one felony. And Trump was still walking free.
On November 6, 2023, Lockwood pays the price: a year and a day behind bars, another three years on supervised release.
(POLITICAL AFFILIATION UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME.)
*
972. MACSEN RUTLEDGE: Rutledge was easy enough to pick out of the riotous crowd on January 6, since he was probably the only defendant wearing a “bear-like hood.” His appearance inside the Capitol was one of the briefest revealed in court records, lasting only a minute.
At the
approximate time of RUTLEDGE’s entrance into the Capitol through the Upper
House Door, a confrontation between police and rioters was taking place or had
just taken place in the hallway near the Upper House Door. A group of officers
attempted to move down the hallway but were attacked by a rioter. RUTLEDGE
quickly exited the Capitol through the Upper House Door at approximately 2:53
pm as a Capitol Police Officer waved and directed rioters out of the building.
He was on restricted grounds for longer – and apparently enjoyed himself, as shown in this picture. He was hit with two misdemeanor counts and pled guilty to one. The cost of his sins in the end: two years on probation, and a fine of $500.
But he can always use his bear costume for Halloween parties.

973. JAMES DOUGLAS RAHM JR.: Mr. Rahm allegedly rioted with his son, James III (#688 on our list).
I missed dad’s arrest till now.
On January 19, 2023, dad is sentenced to one year in prison. He must also pay a fine of $2,000, and will spend an additional three years on supervised release. He is expected to “self-surrender” at a future date.

Bonding time at the riot.
974. PATRICK O’BRIEN: O’Brien, 54, from Great Falls, Montana, starts off the New Year wrong-footed, when he is arrested on January 5, 2023, and charged with participating in the attack on Capitol Hill.
According to authorities he was accompanied by his “juvenile son” during the riot. Dad initially faced four misdemeanor charges.
On a positive note, father and son will always have the bonding experience of driving all the way from Montana to D.C. – thirteen hours a day, three days in a row. All of that, just to spend 28 minutes roaming the halls of Congress, and trying to disrupt the final counting of the electoral votes – and gift Donald Trump a second term he couldn’t win at the ballot box.
His son did reach under a security desk, take a red mouse pad, roll it up, and put it in his pocket.
Souvenir, anyone!
Below, they are seen (red circle) running down a
hall together. Dad has now pled guilty to one misdemeanor.
FUN FACT: According to the Associated Press,
O’Brien owns a shop that sells hockey gear in Great Falls and runs a food stand, Bourbon Chicken Skewers, that
appears regularly at events across the state, according to public records and
news reports. Eight months after the riot, O’Brien and his food stand were
featured in a local television news story in Billings about the Montana Fair.
UPDATE: In February, dad gets put on probation for three years, and hit with a fine of $500.
(LIKELY TRUMP SUPPORTER SINCE DAD DROVE FROM
MONTANA.)

975. Kyler Joseph Bard: Bard considered himself “lucky” to have had the chance to go to D.C., and protest the “stolen election.” He even brought his own microphone. Then he got sprayed in the face with mace, while standing up for “freedom.”
Sadly, he and his pals never got the chance to hang Mike Pence; and now, a little more than two years later, Bard has finally been arrested, and charged with a pair of felonies, including assaulting police.
According to the Kansas City Star, in a video taken during the riot, “Bard can be heard stating, ‘I’ve already been maced, punched, they took my microphone away, and, uh, when I punched them, they punched me back. Maced me in the face. But it’s what we gotta do. We gotta get inside, we gotta take it over. We gotta do it.’”
P.S. Hey, Kyler! The election wasn’t stolen. And
now you could be going to prison for nothing.
UPDATE: On May 28, 2024, Bard agrees to a plea deal. He’s nailed for a pair of felonies and four misdemeanors.

“Waiting for the boogaloo.”
976-978. CPL. MICAH COOMER, SGT. JOSHUA ABATE and SGT. DODGE DALE HELLONEN: Well, “Thank you for your service?”
Three active duty members of the United States Marine Corps were arrested and charged with playing a minor role in the attack on January 6. In an interview related to a security clearance for his job with the Marines, Abate admitted that he and “two buddies” entered the building, walked around, and “tried not to get hit with tear gas.”
His admission led to his arrest, the arrest of his “two buddies,” and misdemeanor charges against all three.
As noted by the Washington Post, a federal search warrant turned up a message on Instagram, in which
Coomer allegedly “stated his belief ‘that everything in
this country is corrupt. We honestly need a fresh restart. I’m waiting for the
boogaloo.’”
Coomer described the term as “Civil war 2,” according to an FBI
arrest affidavit. U.S. prosecutors have described “boogaloo” as a term taken up
by fringe groups referring to a racially or ethnically motivated civil war.
Court records show that the three Marines entered the Capitol ten minutes after it was breached, and remained inside for 52 minutes. They even found time to put a red MAGA hat on a statue and take pictures.
The Post also noted that all three had received Good Conduct Medals, for three years’ discipline-free service.
In any case, on June 12, 2323, Abate and Hellonen pled guilty to misdemeanor charges. A stint in jail (and a possible end to their Marine careers) awaited. They were initially turned in by other Marines.
Coomer has similarly pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor charge.
Hellonen is the first sentenced: Four years on probation, and 279 hours of community service (one for each U.S. Marine killed during the American Civil War). He was also demoted to private by the Corps.
All three defendants could be separated from the service “on less than honorable conditions.”
Hellonen was notified in July 2023 that he was getting the boot. It’s a stiff price to pay for listening to Donald Trump’s “Stolen Election” lies.
Coomer is also sentenced on September 20. Like his buddy Hellonen, he gets four years on probation, and 279 hours of community service. He also gets hit with a fine of $500.
Abate is last: a year on probation, the same 279 hours of community service, and a fine of $500.
Right-wing type (Coomer for sure).
Trump supporters (all three).

979-980. FARHAD AZARI and FARBOD AZARI: On January 19, 2023, Farhad, the father, and Farbod, the son, were arrested and charged with felony assault on a police officer during the riot. Dad was accused of throwing a water bottle at police, kicking at a barricade meant to hold back the attack, and then hurling a staff or flagpole at officers trying to hold the line. His son spat at officers, threw a variety of objects, and “stabbed” at police during the attack, using a flagpole.
Both father and son plead guilty on January 23, 2024. The two men were in D.C. that day to protest Congress’ certification of the electoral votes.
Their crimes eventually netted them 50 months in prison for the son, and 30 months for dad, and both were ordered to pay $2,200 in fines and restitution.
Trump supporters, they believed the election was stolen.
*
981. Micaiah Joseph: Joseph was
turned in by a relative and finally arrested in January 2023.
The 32-year-old Virginian faces several charges, including one for felony “obstruction of law enforcement during a civil disorder.” He showed up for the riot in a tri-corner hat, black tactical vest, and gas mask. And in the battle to take control of the lower tunnel, leading into the building, he was often at the forefront.
Or, allegedly so.
Cellphone evidence also appears to place the suspect at the Capitol during the attack; and when show pictures of Mr. Joseph at the Capitol, a relative positively identified him, and admitted that since the riot, the suspect had given her a tri-corner hat similar to the one he wore that day.
(POLITICAL AFFILIATION NOT KNOWN.)
The F.B.I. is still looking for many suspects in the January 6 attack. Can anyone identify this beached whale? |
*
982. Casey Jane Tryon-Castro: The 33-year-old Virginia woman was charged with a pair of felonies, including one for assaulting a police officer, as a result of her actions during the January 6 attack.
USA Today explains:
Tryon-Castro told the FBI she traveled to the
Capitol with her brother. She fought against law enforcement in the tunnel for
approximately 30 minutes, the justice department said, entering and leaving the
tunnel at least three times and pushing her way to the front of the police
line. The department stated she pushed against police, shouted encouragement to
other rioters, assisted and directed them in their efforts against police, and
took a police riot shield out of the hands of an officer and handed it to other
rioters.
Tryon-Castro was sometimes at the front of the rioters inside the tunnel, grabbing at police shields, shouting encouragement to other attackers, “We gotta get the shields to the front, ya’ll!”
According to a memo from the Department of
Justice, Tryon-Castro joined the battle for more than half an hour, three times
throwing her weight against police lines defending the tunnel. She gets
convicted in June 2024, on four felony charges.
UPDATE: On August 30, 2024, new documents are filed in her case, asking that her pre-trial release order be revoked. The young music lover now stands accused of sneaking into a concert – and when approached by police, refusing to leave. When two officers asked her to give her name, she replied, “None of your fucking business.” She appeared to be drunk, and when one officer tried to restrain her, she fought back, and the second officer had to intervene.
As per standard practice, when she was taken to jail, she was required to change her clothes. At that point Tryon-Casey is accused of trying to bite the leg of one jailhouse officer, and “then aggressively kicked another officer multiple times on her right knee, shoulder, and chin.”

983. TROY WEEKS: Mr. Weeks, 37, of Greenville, New York, initially faced five charges related to his conduct on January 6. Four were misdemeanors. One was for felony assault on a police officer.
At one point, an angry Mr. Weeks is seen in a video demanding answers from police. “Why don’t we have f-----g police protecting the ballots?” he shouts. “Why don’t we have this s--t when we have elections?”
His specific felony: taking pepper spray from one officer and trying to wrestle away the police shield of another. He was inside the Capitol by 3:02 p.m. that day, got a dose of pepper spray, and started begging police – who he had just attacked – to help him outside. “I can’t breathe! I have asthma,” he exclaimed. Still, he stuck around the Capitol, yelling at police, for at least another hour.
Co-workers also informed authorities that they remembered Weeks being absent from work on the day of the riot.
He is sentenced to 21 months behind bars, three years more on probation, and hit for $2,285.

“ALL ABOARD THE TRUMP TRAIN.”
984. Victor Sean Dennison: During an F.B.I. interview on June 9, 2021, Dennison admitted he entered the Capitol.
We also know he showed up for festivities wearing a baseball cap, bearing the words, “ALL ABOARD THE TRUMP TRAIN.”
He was inside for only two minutes, and so had not been arrested, as agents pursued more pressing cases. His time finally in January 2023, and he was hit with misdemeanor charges. From California to the capital: Dennison came a long way to hear then-President Trump speak, and to protest an election that was “stolen” – but wasn’t.
He appears to have brought his girlfriend along; so let’s hope they enjoyed their visit to Washington D.C.
During an interview with F.B.I. agents, Dennison said he left the Capitol after he heard another rioter say, “They’re going to start shooting us.”
In June 2023, he failed to show up for court and was declared a fugitive. In April 2024, he was arrested in Florida, A self-described singer/songwriter, he recently posted a song on social media: “Can’t Outrun Yourself,” which seems fitting. He’s also a “sovereign citizen” kind of guy – with a twist – and now representing himself in court. For a sample of the kind of drivel he presents in court, check this link.
Trump supporter.

985. DR. AUSTIN BRENDLEN HARRIS: It took more than two years , but Dr. Harris, a board-certified cardiologist from California, was finally arrested and charged with participation in the January 6 attack.
Dr. Harris later told friends that those who attacked the Capitol “were NOT Trump supporters, but “Antifa.”
Oddly enough, the doctor apparently could not see himself in a mirror. He can be seen inside the building, wearing a blue baseball cap emblazoned with the words, “Lions Not Sheep.”
As for where he stands, he posted this on Facebook, shortly after the attack:
Thank you all for your concern. I am safe here
in DC. Was treating trauma patients at the capitol building. I wanted to be
very clear...those causing chaos in the capital building were NOT Trump
supporters. They were Antifa dressed up like Trump supporters. It is a false-flag
event to allow even more oppression of conservatives. I am so sad for our
country. So much deceit, such a craving for absolute power by the Swamp Establishment,
has led to our election integrity becoming a joke, that a 90lb unarmed woman
was gunned down by Capitol Police being absolutely no threat, and the cementing
of the stark hypocrisy between how peaceful Trump supporters Vs violent Leftists
are to be treated. This is the tipping point where we become the cowed and
oppressed citizens of countries like China. None of this is an accident, and
never none of it is the “will of the people.”
Harris is himself seen urging other rioters to come forward and break through police lines. At 2:15 p.m. that day he is already inside the Capitol. Later, he is seen kneeling near a fallen protester, Ashli Babbitt. At 2:56 p.m. he is ordered out by Capitol Police.
It would also appear that in the wake of the riot, Dr. Harris had a tough year. He was disciplined by a state medical board in 2021 for multiple DUI arrests and erratic behavior at work. In June 2023, the defendant pleads guilty and gets hit for $5,500 in fines and restitution, as well as 400 hours of community service.
Trump supporter, he believed the election was stolen.
(CLAIMED TO SEE ANTIFA.)

Bonawitz goes airborne.
986. KENNETH BONAWITZ: Mr. Bonawitz’s biggest mistake (besides carrying an eight-inch knife during the January 6 attack), and joining the Proud Boys, was taking off his shirt during the riot. That exposed a large tattoo of a marlin over his right breast, which led to his arrest.
Online sleuths eventually helped pin him down; and he was finally arrested on January 27, 2023.
Video also exists of Bonawitz, then fully clothed, going airborne to knock down two police, and then police disarming him that day. One of those two officers, Sgt. Federico Ruiz, suffered serious injuries to his neck, back, shoulder, and knees.
As USA Today explains:
He was subdued by officers, who took the knife, and then released him. He returned to pressing against the line. Court documents state he pushed an officer, causing her to stumble forward, then wrapped his arms around her from behind, inserted his forearm under her face shield and pulled up on her neck, brieflying [sic] lifting her off the ground, until she broke free. Bonawitz then swung his left arm and caused another officer to stumble and fall to the ground, the FBI reported, then assaulted additional officers.
Bonawitz takes down a pair of cops. |
Bonawitz’s picture also shows up on a Proud Boys meet-up poster that circulated in South Florida in spring 2022.
And, more recently still, prosecutors allege that during the riot, Mr. Bonawitz was carrying a large hunting knife in a sheath.
Facing grim possibilities in court, Bonawitz took the lesser of several evils and pled guilty to three charges, including two for assaulting police.
Attacking at least six officers during the riot, all in the name of Donald Trump, does not sit will with the justice system; and Bonawitz gets five year in prison. After that, it will be three more years on probation. He also owes $2,000.
Trump supporter, right-wing type; violent.

“One of the most prolonged and dangerous assaults.”
987. PATRICK ALLEN BOURNES: Many of the rioters traveled long distances to be in D.C. for a protest – or rally – or riot – or whatever they imaged it was going to turn out to be. Mr. Bournes is a mechanical engineer from California.
He was first identified as a participant in the attack on February 10, 2021; but the case against him built slowly. It did not help that a relative admitted that Bournes stayed at their house in D.C. during the early days of January 2021. (That relative also identified Bournes in pictures of the attack on the tunnel leading into the lower reaches of the Capitol, where so much violence occurred.)
According to the Department of Justice,
The defendant was among a mob that illegally
engaged in a physical confrontation with law enforcement officers near an
entrance to the U.S. Capitol on the Lower West Terrace known as “the tunnel.”
The tunnel was the location of one of the most prolonged and dangerous assaults
on police on January 6, 2021. For over two and a half hours, law enforcement
defended the tunnel against rioters who pushed against them, struck them, stole
their riot shields, sprayed them with chemical irritants, and otherwise fought
against them to gain access to the U.S. Capitol. The defendant participated in
the siege against law enforcement at the tunnel including by pushing against
officers and assisting other rioters to push against the officers.
At one point, the mob managed to rip enough shields away from police to establish their own wall and push against officers , in what had to be an exhausting battle for those men and women in blue.
On February 9, 2024, the California man pleads guilty to a single felony charge. He pays a stiff price for his actions on January 6: four months behind bars, 24 months on probation, and a $2,000 fine.
(POLITICAL AFFILIATION NOT YET KNOWN.)

“Grind her head into the street.”
988. JOSEPH PAVLIK: Mr. Pavlik avoided arrest for his role in the attack for over two years. Finally, we learned that the retired firefighter showed up for the riot, ready to…riot. He wore a gas mask, goggles, and helmet – or as that one idiot congressman tried to claim – “normal tourist” attire.
On what appeared to be his body armor vest, we could also see a “Three Percenters” logo. Authorities discovered that his Facebook posts and other records linked him to the Oath Keepers, at least for the years 2009-2015. A few of his “cheery” comments in days leading up to the riot included:
Democrats told us they were going to steal this
election RIGHT TO OUR FACES … and we did nothing…So get ready young guys
because YOU WILL LIVE ON YOUR KNEES from this day forward THAT’S RIGHT because
we will do nothing.
These aren’t Americans they are indoctrinated
socialists that hate America and hate Americans. We need to be much more brutal
than punching and kicking. This is not some simple street disagreement.
Put that miserable blm [Black Lives Matter] bitch
on the ground and grind her head into the street
These are now indoctrinated terrorists that
have made a conscious choice to ruin America… the sooner it is taken to a
serious level to remove these terrorists the sooner these terrorists climb back
into their basements… only until their bodies hit the ground will the terrorism
stop
WE ARE THE STORM THAT DEMOCRATS AND RINOS
THOUGHT WOULD NEVER SHOW UP and we are just getting started
Ironically, on Facebook, the day after the attack, Pavlik replied to someone named Ben, telling him he was wrong, and that he, Pavlik, and company were “peaceful protesters.” On August 25, 2023, he pleaded guilty, including to one felony count of carrying a deadly weapon on the day of the riot.
On December 1, 2023, Firefighter Joe took several big bites out of the Trump Shit Sandwich. He got two months in prison, with six additional months to sit at home in confinement, and think about what a chump he was to believe Donald’s lies about a stolen election. After that, he gets two years of supervised release.
As a final kick in his MAGA ass, he is ordered to fork over $8,000 in fines and restitution.
Trump supporter, violent,

*
989-990. KYLE MLYNAREK and RONALD BALHORN: The two Michigan men, cousins, were charged together on February 1, 2023. Both faced felony charges, with Balhorn accused of carrying a dangerous weapon during the attack, “a wooden club or stick.”
(Balhorn also brought his fiancé along; so
let’s hope she had fun on the trip.)
Kyle and Ron were among the first rioters to breach the Capitol, and Mlynarek later posted their picture inside on social media.
Because
Mlynarek is an idiot.
In
days leading up to the riot, he vented his anger, posting on social media: “It’s
about these mothefuckers thinking they can come take away our guns, burn/kneel
on our nations flag and anthem, shut down our businesses, force people to wear
something when it’s a personal choice, use social media to divide us, have
bullshit rigged elections[.]”
So, he adds, “when they do
things that’s unconstitutional or jeopardize our freedom understand patriots
are gonna stand up and fight for what we believe in and if u have a problem
with that then fuck off and stay out of the way.”
At least three people tipped off the F.B.I., regarding Kyle’s participation in the mob attack. Authorities also found a post by his girlfriend, saying, “My fiancé got in.” In another post, when asked if he got inside the Capitol, Kyle allegedly replied, “Yes, me, Ron and Brandi.”
“Brandi”
likely refers to Balhorn’s girlfriend (who has not so far been charged.)
UPDATE: Mlynarek was found guilty on four charges (out of five) in a bench trial in October 2023. In February 2024, he learned that he would be sitting in jail for 100 days, on probation for an additional year, and he’d owe the federal government $1,000. I also missed Balhorn’s conviction; but he does not appear to have been sentenced. By the way, Balhorn is listed on the website, “American Gulag,” where idiots go to read about idiots who rioted on January 6. If you want to see how many times motions were filed, and details of the cases against these two men were debated, go to this link. Both cousins had ample representation and protection in court.
UPDATE #2: Balhorn gets what his cousin got, plus more. He’ll have 100 days in jail to puzzle over how come no court has ever said the 2020 election was stolen, 200 hours of community service to complete when he gets out, a year on probation, and he must fork over $2,500 in fines and restitution.
Trump supporter, he believed the election was stolen (Mlynarek)
Trump supporter (Balhorn).

991-992. Isaac Thomas and Christina Legros: The two Michiganders were arrested on January 31, 2023. Legros faces misdemeanor charges. Thomas faces felony and misdemeanor charges.
According to court documents, the two
defendants were among a mob that illegally engaged in a physical confrontation
with law enforcement officers on the west front of the United States Capitol.
Isaac Thomas used a flagpole on fully uniformed police officers during that
confrontation, with the interaction captured on Christina Legros’s phone. Eight
minutes after Thomas swung the flagpole at the first officer, at another
confrontation with police Thomas struck an officer with the United States
Capitol Police to help the mob move up the steps to the upper west terrace.
Where did Thomas and Legros stand? Thomas recorded a video that day, including this statement: “The United States of America thinks we were playing…Do not let them take our country. Mike Pence failed us today. Ya’ll better take your country back. Take your freedom back for the sake of your families and your children!”
He’s likely facing serious jail time – and Donald J. Trump still can’t prove the election was stolen.
(It wasn’t.)
Trump supporters, they believed the election was stolen (both).
993. Jason Farris: Farris, who hails from Texas, was not arrested until February 2023, but his trip through the court system was relatively quick. According to documents in his case, he approached one of the first police barricades on January 6, and shouted at one officer, at least: “I bet your family is proud of you, fucking faggot ass. You ain’t shit. Ain’t none of you shit.”
Moments later, as rioters and police wrestled over a bicycle-rack style barrier, Farris is accused of knocking down one officer from behind. Originally, he was hit with multiple federal charges.
On October 27, 2023, Farris – who came to D.C. just so he could attend the Trump rally – pleads guilty to a felony assault.
Trump supporter, violent.

994: DUSTY ALLAN HIGGINS: Mr. Higgins is also arrested in February 2023. According to one tipster, the defendant is a member of the Proud Boys.
We do know that when interviewed by F.B.I. agents, he expressed the belief that, “Our constitution tells us that when we have a treasonous government they should be overthrown.”
He has now been convicted for his role in the attack on democracy, placed on probation for three years, and fined $500.
He also gets 14 days in jail.
Trump supporter, right-wing type, believed the election was stolen.
*
995. BRIAN SCOTT McGEE: Poor McGee, traveled a long way to hear Trump speak on that fateful day. The former member of the Missouri National Guard, was in the Capitol for a minute and fifty-one seconds. He claims he saw officers guarding the building “fist-bumping” people as they entered. Phone records, related to McGee, soon led to the arrest of Jeremy Harrison (#996).
Regardless, McGee was inside long enough to open him up for prosecution for a variety of misdemeanors.
In June 2023, he pleads guilty to one. And for his fine efforts in blocking democracy, he gets sevend days in jail, three years’ probation and a $500 fine.
(Maybe we should make him wear a dunce cap.)
Trump supporter.
*
996. JEREMY HARRISON: McGee and Harrison (who resides in Florida) met while staying at the Crystal City Marriott in D.C., prior to the riot. They bonded, along with a third individual, and went to the Capitol together. The third individual has not been charged. McGee and Harrison have admitted entering the building, although Harrison told authorities he saw a person in tactical gear waving people inside.
He could not recall any insignia, nor did he see a badge. Once inside, he heard screaming, and saw “chaos,” so he exited.
Not fast enough, however. He was charged in February 2023 and agreed to plead guilty to a single misdemeanor count in June.
He earned a month on home confinement, time on probation, the requirement to do community service, and a $500 fine.
(LIKELY TRUMP SUPPORTER; NOT DEFINITIVE.)

997. Michael John Dillon: The Fort Myers, Florida gentleman told federal authorities he went to the Capitol to support President Trump.
He came, he saw, he conquered. He has admitted he was inside the building – but for only about five minutes – just enough to get charged with a pair of misdemeanors.
He looks exactly like what you think a Trump supporter might look like. So: We’re approaching a thousand rioters checked.

“Putting together a woman’s head who got hit by
a police officer.”
998. RICHARD AVIRETT: Mr. Avirett hails from Georgia. Previous to his visit to D.C., he served in the United States Marine Corps. There is some evidence that Avirett may have been inside a room in the Capitol where the furniture was wrecked, and table legs were broken and repurposed as clubs.
He denied that in an interview, and said he was busy that day “literally putting together a woman’s head who got hit by a police officer.”
Denial or not, he was arrested in Cleveland, Georgia, on Feb. 10, 2023, after a license plate reader tagged him as a wanted man. “Mr. Avirett appeared very shocked to hear he had an arrest warrant,” the police report states.
When not rioting, or getting arrested, Avirett is
a firearms instructor and lives near Tampa,
Florida.
UPDATE: As has often been the case, information available does not prove definitively whether or not a person arrested for participating in the riot is a Trump supporter, a leftist plant, an Antifa member, or just some random dope.
I wasn’t sure about Avirett, until I saw a court document filed in an attempt to convince a judge to give the defendant a lesser sentence than might be typical in his kind of case. In part, it reads:
Mr.
Avirett does have a history of alcohol abuse. His over consumption began
shortly after his military tour in Iraq. It appears Mr. Avirett turned to
alcohol in an effort to self-medicate as a consequence of this post-traumatic
stress syndrome. He has managed his drinking which has not caused him any
significant legal or employment issues. Nevertheless, it appears he would
benefit from mental health and substance abuse counseling.
The
events of January 6, 2021, not only adversely impacted our nation in a profound
way, it is clear that Mr. Avirett’s participation has had an equal impact on
him. As he writes to the court,
My
career of 20 years lost, abandoned by my children and family due to
embarrassment, and an unbearable harassment as a top security risk at airports
as well as shunned by my neighbors. I have never known such a low in my life to
the point of the loss of hope, meaning and purpose.
Then, we have his motivation for traveling to D.C., doing his small part to overturn a fair election, and ruining his life.
Mr.
Avirett, like millions of Americans, became convinced that the results of the
2020 presidential elections were the result of fraud. This belief was fueled by
Congressional leaders and the President of the United States. … He remained in
the building for approximately 7 minutes. While in the building Mr. Avirett did
not possess any weapons. He also did not assault any law enforcement officers.
In the end, his belief in Trump costs him 30 days in jail, hefty legal expenses (we assume), and a $500 fine.
Trump supporter, he believed the
election was stolen.
*
999. VICTOR MARTINEZ: The San Antonio man avoided court for nearly two years. But on February 2, 2023, he was hauled before a judge. Authorities noted that Martinez, 41, was inside the Capitol from 2:42 p.m. to 3:18 p.m.
He was identified, in part, because he had a Trump flag draped round his shoulders like a cape, while he joined the mob.
He
has since pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor, and in July 2023, he got 14 days in jail, a year on probation, and a bill for $500.
(POLITICAL AFFILIATION TO BE DETERMINED.)
*
“Not to take this personal.”
1000. KIM CONNOLLY: Multiple photos placed Connolly inside the Capitol on January 6, though there was no evidence she was involved in any violence, nor did she do any property damage. She took a kind of touristy stroll – phone stuck to her ear, as she entered.
Soon after the attack, Connolly was turned in by two tipsters. On January 10, 2021, she admitted she was inside the building.
Connolly
said that she took three pictures inside the building and saw two or three men
try to “bum rush” through two police officers. Connolly said she told the
officers “not to take this personal.” She also picked up a piece of trash while
inside the Capitol. Connolly said that she was in the Capitol for a few minutes
before officers told people to leave, which she said she did.
She was not arrested, for some reason, until 2023.
She pled guilty on September 12, and her final “bill” for (we assume) believing in Donald J. Trump came to six months of probation and a fine of $500. Plus any legal fees she may have had to pay a lawyer.
(POLITICAL
AFFILIATION NOT YET KNOWN.)
*
1001. Robert DeGregoris: According to USA Today, “DeGregoris posted a photo of himself outside the Capitol on the Twitter account Sovereign Patriot @dadbodbob, with the caption: “‘took some pepper spray & tear gas breaching the front doors …..Worth it.’” In an F.B.I. interview, he claimed he did not recognize the Twitter post.
(Maybe Antifa hacked his account!!!)
Loudon County’s own rioter arrived at the tunnel around 4:01 p.m. on the day of the attack. By that time, police had been fighting for over an hour, and DeGregoris joined the fray. In one photo, he strikes at an officer with a baton of some kind. Later, he helps push a ladder forward to batter police lines.
Even getting pepper sprayed couldn’t keep this patriot from fighting to overturn an election Donald Trump lost.
A trial results – and the defendant is found guilty on four charges, of both the felony and misdemeanor style.
Right-wing type.
1002. Christopher Maurer: The Maine man is taken into custody on February 22, 2023. For his role in the January 6 attack, two years earlier, he faces a variety of charges, including two felonies.
According to court
documents, law enforcement identified Maurer (FBI BOLO #150-AFO) as an
individual who pushed against police and swung a large pole at police officers
who were defending an entrance to the U.S. Capitol on the Lower West Terrace
known as “the tunnel” on January 6, 2021. Maurer initially entered the tunnel
at approximately 3:01pm, and proceeded through the crowd of other rioters.
After reaching the police line, Maurer attempted to pull a police shield and/or
strike police officers who were helping another rioter experiencing a medical
emergency. At approximately this same time, Maurer joined other rioters in
pushing against the police line. He left the tunnel at approximately 3:08pm.
About 90 minutes
later, Maurer entered the tunnel for a second time, screaming at and gesturing
to officers on the police line. During this time, he was sprayed with oleoresin
capsicum (“OC”) spray by officers while he screamed at and made obscene gestures
at the officers. Maurer then picked up what appeared to be a long metal pipe or
pole from the ground and swung it at the front line of police officers at the
tunnel before leaving the tunnel area again.
Investigators pin down all kinds of details in these cases. They were even able to show that Maurer made a purchase at a Dunkin Donuts in D.C., at 5:30 p.m. on the day of the riot. Doesn’t prove he was a rioter.
Does prove he likes donuts?
UPDATE: At the time of his arrest, it appears Mr. Maurer was living out of his 1999 Ford Expedition, at a park and ride location near Falmouth, Maine. He had now pleaded guilty to one charge of assaulting police.
(POLITICAL AFFILIATION
NOT YET KNOWN.)
*
1003. Jesse James Rumson: Rest easy, America, the “Sedition Panda” has been caught. Online sleuths have helped reveal the identity of the rioter, who showed up on January 6, sporting a giant panda head costume.
He was promptly charged with a variety of felonies, including assaulting an officer of the law. Incognito with his panda head on, he was filmed at other times without, which led to his bust. Authorities say, he can be heard at one point, after he exited the building, shouting, “Get a ram.” He also charged police lines repeatedly, and grabbed an officer who was trying to hold back the mob by his face shield, and tried to yank it off, injuring him in the process.
He was arrested on February 27, 2023.
In
May 2024, he was convicted on all eight charges he faced.
Cpl. Scott Ainsworth of Prince George County’s police force, who answered the call to reinforce defenders at the Capitol on January 6, and whose face mask the defendant tried to rip off, testified at Rumson’s trial.
[He spoke of ] his service in the military
dating back to 1988, his riot training in Korea and his prior civil disturbance
experience, when rioters might throw objects from afar but would never think of
engaging directly with a wall of police shields.
“This is the first time any of us as riot
officers have had a crowd do this to us,” Ainsworth said.
It took him “a couple of months to come to
grips” with what happened on Jan. 6, Ainsworth testified during a bench trial
for Rumson before U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols, a Trump appointee.
“I’m a Republican, these are my fellow
Republicans,” Ainsworth testified, joking that he’s from Oklahoma where you’re “born
a Republican.” But he said some of the fellow Republicans in his life now want
nothing to do with him because of his service on Jan. 6.
“Are you crazy?” Ainsworth recalled thinking
about those fellow Republicans who supported what happened that day. “This was
stupid, it was not necessary.”
He
went on to explain that it took “pure brute force,” along with chemical spray,
and wearing rioters down, to drive them out of the Capitol and then off Capitol
Hill grounds that night.
(LIKELY TRUMP SUPPORTER.)
*
1004. MICHAEL DANIELE: Daniele, a retired New Jersey state trooper, has finally been arrested and charged with participating in the riot. (He told F.B.I. agents who snagged him he was simply “looking for a bathroom” when he entered the Capitol on January 6, hoping to pee on democracy.
Video, however, showed the defendant wrestling with officers to push aside the first barricade protecting Congress.
Not wrestling with an empty toilet paper dispenser.
He insisted he left the Capitol as soon as he realized he couldn’t find a potty. After his image was circulated online, his own former agency flagged him to the F.B.I. He was soon spotted trampling on a barricade at 12:53 p.m. that day, and turned out to be one of the first rioters to breach police lines.
According to one news report, Daniele is on a pension worth $76,000 per year, but for starters, he hired a public defender.
In any case, in a bench trial in June 2024, a judge acquitted him on two felony counts (yay, Michael), and convicted him on four misdemeanor counts. It turned out, the former cop was in contact with the barrier he was said to have helped removed for only about one second.
He gets sentenced to 30 days of home confinement, two years on probation, and must pay $2,500 in fines and restitution.
*
1005-1006. WILLIAM JOHN WYATT GALLMAN and JOEI LEANN GALLMAN: Phone records place the South Carolina couple inside the Capitol on January 6. F.B.I. “confidential sources” also place them inside during the riot. When interviewed by federal agents, both Mr. and Mrs. Gallman readily admitted they had breached the halls of Congress that day. (See also: #1007.)
Both pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor as a result of their actions that day. Both were placed on probation for eighteen months, ordered to perform fifty hours of community service, and both hit with bills for $1,500.
Let’s hope they were allowed to write a combined check and assigned the same probation officer.
Trump supporters (both).
*
1007. ALAN CULBERTSON: The Gallmans also admitted that they were with Culbertson on that fateful day.
In part, this led to his arrest; Culbertson then admitted he too had been inside the Capitol on Jan. 6. He told F.B.I. agents he traveled with the Gallmans to D.C., attended the Trump rally that morning, and joined the march.
They
all looked so happy that day.
Culbertson, upper left, Mrs. Gallman, Mr. Gallman, upper right. |
When asked to sit for a second interview with federal authorities, Mr. Gallman and Mr. Culbertson turned over items of clothing they, and Mrs. Gallman, had worn that day. (Because what Trump fan would ever throw his MAGA gear away?) In all, they were probably inside the building for 25 minutes, and took pictures – like tourists – only tourists who hated counting the votes. Joei’s favorite Trump stocking cap was even used as evidence in court.
The three defendants were charged with two misdemeanors apiece. Culbertson pled to one, and got probation (for eighteen months), and a $500 fine.
Trump supporter (Culbertson, too).
1008. John Richter: Mr. Richter gave up the game early, when during the attack on the Capitol he managed to make it to the Senate Chamber floor. There he was filmed by other rioters, shouting, “JOHN RICHTER! JOHN RICHTER!”
That man was proud of himself.
Soon he found himself in a heap of legal trouble. At one point that day he seemed to be carrying a spear.
"JOHN RICHTER! JOHN RICHTER!" |
In the lead up to the attack, Richter is said to have corresponded regularly with Joseph Irwin (#458 on our list). Richter sent Irwin a Twitter post from President Trump, claiming, “I WON THE ELECTION!”
(He didn’t.)
On December 12, 2020, RICHTER posted a video on
Twitter saying, “This isn’t one of those things we’re going to say someone else
is going to do something. We have to do it. It’s our job. See you in D. C.” RICHTER
sent a video to IRWIN that shows RICHTER loading bullets into a bullet holder
with a screenshot that said, “Michigan State Police Blocking GOP Electors From Entering
The Capital. TYRANNY HAS BECOME LAW.”
Etc., etc. These poor fools believed almost anything. Indeed, they came to D.C. on that fateful day, planning to engage in violence.
The two also discussed bringing supplies to Washington, D.C., such as flagpoles, goggles, battery banks, and full-face gas masks. In one message, Richter circulated a photo of a metal pointed flagpole he intended to bring to Washington, D.C. Richter explained that he would bring the all-black American flag because the “All black flag means no quarter will be given. It’s time to do patriot s—.” Irwin also discussed bringing a wooden pole that he inscribed with a black American flag; he said that his “wooden stick is heavy as f—.”
Trump supporter, he believed the election was stolen,
ready for violence.

Stewed prunes.
1009. CAMERON EDWARD HESS: Mr. Hess was arrested and charged with two felonies, among other charges, for his role in the January 6 attack.
After learning that an arrest warrant had been issued, Hess turned himself in on March 1, 2023. There’s still no evidence the 2020 election war rigged, stolen, or even slightly bruised. Trump lost.
All these poor fools are going to prison – for nothing. You might as well go to prison for saying you don’t like stewed prunes.
According to court documents, Hess entered the Capitol through the East Rotunda doors on the day of the riot.
A short time later, riot police push Hess out
of the Capitol building. Hess again pushes into the Capitol building at
approximately 3:24 pm while law enforcement officials were attempting to direct
the rioters out of the rotunda door. Later, Hess is captured in a photo that
shows him assaulting police to re-gain access to the Capitol building. Hess had
returned to the rotunda doors as the police are attempting to close the doors
and physically engaged with a Municipal Police Officer. During this confrontation,
Hess attempts to hold the door open as the officer working to close the door
orders Hess to stop. The police then successfully push Hess out of the rotunda
doors.
According to the Statement of Facts in Hess’s case, he “traveled from Pennsylvania to support the president on January 6.” On that fateful day, when American democracy was at risk, Hess could accurately report, “people storming the Capitol.” Then he felt an urge to brag. He said he was “in the thick of it. Got pepper sprayed and teargassed.” That evening, after the rioters were all driven off, he proudly said, “I was brawling at the door.”
But several days later, he thought better. “Don’t tell anyone I was there,” he messaged a friend.
On October 6, 2023, another American life is ruined. Hess pleads guilty to a felony for assault.
In February 26, 2024, Hess gets nine months in jail, and three additional years on probation. Plus, he gets nailed for $2,000. And there’s still ZERO PROOF that Trump was cheated out of a victory.
Trump supporter,
violent.
*
1010: RONALD ANDRULONIS: The F.B.I. was tipped off regarding Andrulonis’s participation in the riot six days after the attack; but he was not arrested until more than two years later.
The suspect, an Amtrak worker, posted a “selfie” inside the Capitol and circulated it among friends. Of course, he’s wearing a read “Make America Great Again” stocking cap in the photo.
He can be seen inside the office of an unidentified senator that day. After he returned to Philadelphia, a few hours after the riot, surveillance video shows him “donning a Trump black hooded sweatshirt with the American flag running vertically.”
Initially, he was hit with two misdemeanor charges.
In a letter of support to the court, one character notes that “Ron” was “caught up in the January 6 protests,” and the U.S. Army veteran regrets his actions that day. Another supporter notes that Andrulonis is about to become a new father. When not rioting, he also does roofing for elderly neighbors, and was simply “caught up in the emotional events of January 6.”
Weren’t we all.
(The defendant also lost his job with Amtrak, and his health insurance.)
Eventually, he plead guilty, got 14 days in jail, 60 days of location monitoring, three years’ probation, and a $500 fine.
And why was the veteran there in D.C. on that fateful day? He did not accept the results of the 2020 election. Just like his Orange Hero, the “MVP of liars,” to steal a line aimed at Michael Cohen, by Trump’s lawyers in the hush money case.
Trump supporter, he believed the
election was stolen.
*
Sprinkle in the neo-Nazi types.
1011-1012. Chris Carnell and David Bowman: Carnell’s arrest came only late in the game (March 2023) but was aided by the fact he wore a backpack with his last name on it into the Senate chamber on Jan. 6.
The two buds were both photographed previously with Baked Alaska and Nick Fuentes at the Million MAGA March.
So, two more rioters who are definitely not leftists, but like to hang with right-wing crazies.
And neo-Nazis.
Carnell was allegedly seen in video from the day of the attack on the Capitol, explaining to another rioter (Dale Shalvey (#820), on the floor of the Senate, how the certification of the electoral votes would work. Carnell was pinched by the feds, after evidence from the phone of Aiden Bilyard (#784) led them to identify and build a case.
As for Bowman, authorities say he has admitted to being inside the Capitol, although he wasn’t all that clear why.
“Bowman
went on to explain that he was unaware of what was going on in the Senate
chamber earlier in the day, but understood that Mike Pence needed to certify
something in the House chamber,” the affidavit reads.
“Bowman
explained that when he and Carnell actually entered the Senate, they had no
clear purpose or agenda. He said, ‘Like we’re in here… like uh… we’re a dog, we
hit the car, we don’t know what to do.'”
FUN FACT: If you’re really into insurrection, former President Fat Donald recently released the song, “Justice for All.” It features a number of rioters from January 6, singing the National Anthem.
(A vinyl
recording of the song, and we assume others, is for sale: $99.99.)
On a “positive note,” according to one conservative commentator, proceeds will be used to pay for the legal defense of the rioters – but those charged with assaulting police will not be aided.
Assaulting democracy, because you were stupid, and you listened to the lies of Fat Donald about a stolen election?
Covered!
(Trump has also claimed to be helping pay for the
defense of a number of the rioters, but has not said how many, or which ones.)
UPDATE: On February 12, 2024, Carnell and Bowman are found guilty of a felony
after a trial. They are scheduled to be sentenced on June 14, 2024, ironically,
Donald Trump’s seventy-eighth birthday.
UPDATE: On June 7, 2024, in a plea for leniency, Bowman correctly points out, that he was only following the directions of Donald J. Trump, who claimed a thousand times that he was cheated out of a win. “This was a lie and he refused to concede. False claims were made on media sources, as well as by the President himself,” Bowman wrote to the judge, “that the election system had been corrupted and that the integrity of the election should be questioned[.]”
Trump supporters, right-wing types.

1013.
BRANDON KELLY DILLARD:
The F.B.I. continues to net rioters, like young Mr. Dillard of Las Vegas, and
then the courts convict them. He was done in, in part, because of the
distinctive spider boots he wore to the riot. On the Sedition Hunters website,
Dillard was identified as #SpiderNazi.
According to Tucker Carlson, the rioters were like innocent lambs, let into the Capitol by police. |
Besides photographic evidence, a search warrant revealed that a cellphone account held by Dillard’s stepfather, pinged off towers, as present during the insurrection. Travel records also showed that Brandon (insert “Let’s Go, Brandon” joke here) flew out of Las Vegas on January 5, headed for D.C., and then flew home on January 8. So: A fun time was had at the riot – it would appear.
Not so fun in November 2023, however, when the young, booted spider pleads guilty to a single misdemeanor. In court, Dillard admitted that during the battle to gain entrance to the Capitol, he “repeatedly grabbed Officer B.M.’s helmet, making physical contact” and trying to rip it off his head.
He ends up getting sentenced to four months in jail, with an added twelve on supervised release; and he gets billed for $500.
(POLITICAL AFFILIATION CURRENTLY UNKNOWN.)

Let’s hope he watched Tucker Carlson earlier this week.
1014. RICHARD COOK: Mr. Cook, who traveled from his abode in Florida, in time to join in the attack on Capitol Hill, was finally arrested on March 9, 2023. This was three days after Tucker Carlson broadcast a show, “proving” the January 6 attackers were all mild-mannered patriots, out to see the sights.
According to court documents, on Jan. 6, 2021,
Cook was among rioters who repeatedly engaged in violence against law
enforcement officers guarding the Capitol. Cook participated in the
confrontation with law enforcement officers in the Lower West Terrace and
tunnel areas of the Capitol. He entered the tunnel on the Lower West
Terrace at approximately 3:12 p.m., making his way into the mob of rioters who
were coordinating pushes against police officers while yelling “HEAVE HO!” and
“PUSH!” Cook entered the tunnel two separate times to assist in the
collective pushes against police officers as the rioters tried to gain access
to the Capitol building. While Cook joined in collective pushes, one
police officer screamed in pain as the weight of the rioters’ pushes pinned him
between a shield and a door.
In the Statement of Facts, in Mr. Cook’s case, prosecutors describe a battle that lasted for more than two hours, at the lower tunnel entrance into the Capitol Building. This is where Cook went to work:
Rioters
amassed outside the tunnel with a variety of tools and weapons. By the time
rioters began entering the tunnel, at about 2:40 p.m., a group of officers had
formed a line at a second set of glass doors inside the tunnel. Rioters outside
the tunnel quickly summoned more rioters to join their efforts in pushing their
way through the doors in the tunnel. As the tunnel quickly filled with rioters,
it became the point of intense and prolonged violent clashes between rioters
and police officers, as rioters attempted to break their way through the tunnel
and into the Capitol building. Rioters began entering the tunnel and attacking
the officers. Rioters broke through the first set of glass doors and forced
open the second set of doors, eliminating the barriers between police officers
and rioters.
From
approximately 2:42 p.m. onward, groups of rioters consistently rotated into the
tunnel, collectively attempting to breach the police line and force their way
into the building. The rioters used various weapons, as well as the force of
their bodies, in an attempt to overcome the officers and make it inside the
Capitol building. Many of the rioters assaulted MPD and USCP officers by
hurling objects towards the officers, physically striking officers with batons
and other blunt instruments, using strobe lights to distract and disorient the
officers, using electrical shock devices, crushing officers between the doors
and walls of the confined space, deploying chemical sprays and fire
extinguishers against the officers, and collectively joining together to engage
in violent heave ho pushes against the officer line.
In this case, as in so many others, blasting Tucker Carlson’s lies to bits is like shooting, what, “fish in a bucket?”
Too cliché.
More like: “Fish in a toilet.”
At any rate, Cook opted for a jury trial, and in May 2024, the jury opted to convict him on one felony and five misdemeanor charges. Then the judge opted to send him to prison for eighteen months, and order him to remit $2,000 by way of restitution.
Mr. Cook and his happy face. |

Tackling police officers for Trump?
1015. MICHAEL MACKRELL: Speaking of “tourists,” Mackrell, who traveled to D.C. from Ohio, was finally arrested and charged with assaulting at least five different officers during the riot.
That arrest came on March 10, 2023.
According to court documents, on Jan. 6, 2021,
Mackrell was recorded, at approximately 2:28 p.m. at the upper west plaza of
the U.S. Capitol, on open source and closed-circuit video footage from the U.S
Capitol (“CCTV”), wrapping his arm around the neck of an officer with the
Metropolitan Police Department (“Officer #1”) and throwing the officer to the
ground. After that assault, open source CCTV footage captured Mackrell near the
Southwest Plaza stage about to push Officer #2, an MPD officer who has been identified
as Officer D.H. BWC footage from MPD officers and from Officer D.H. also show
Mackrell assaulting Officer D.H. In addition, BWC and CCTV footage show that
immediately following the assault on Officer D.H., Mackrell tackled Officer #3
near the Southwest Plaza of the U.S. Capitol. After the assault on Officer #3,
open source and CCTV footage revealed that at approximately 2:31 p.m., Mackrell
rushed and tackled a fourth officer, MPD Sergeant P. R., at the West Plaza of
the U.S. Capitol. In addition, BWC footage shows that at approximately at 2:34
p.m., Mackrell tackled Officer #5 near the Southwest Plaza of the U.S. Capitol.
Yep. Five. So far, that’s the police-assaulting record for January 6. Facing an eternity in prison if he went to trial, Mr. Mackrell, who traveled to D.C. on that fateful day with his son Clifford (#270 on our list) – so they could participate in the Trump “Stop the Steal” rally – pleads guilty to a single felony charge on October 21, 2023. His son had pled guilty the day before.
On March 18, 2024, dad receives the same sentence as his son: 27 months behind bars. What a waste.
Trump lied to these people and now they pay.
Trump supporter, violent.

“First guy to storm the capital today.”
1016. KENNETH SCHULZ: The Dallas man has finally been charged with participating in the January 6 riot. According to court documents, he breached the Capitol at 2:13 p.m. that day, approximately 34 seconds after the first rioter entered.
He can be seen outside the Senate chamber, in a group of protesters confronting a line of police blocking the hallway.
In a social media post, Schulz is said to have made that day, he captions a picture, “STORMING THE CAPITOL.”
By the way, if you’re not a complete dork, you can clearly see the “QAnon Shaman,” Jacob Chansley, in one picture included in Schulz’s charging document (below). And you can see his horns in another. Unlike Tucker Carlson, unless you are blind, you will not say to yourself, “Hey, Chansley was being led on a tour.”
In another Twitter user’s post, an individual is seen in a picture with Schulz, who has an “I’m #1” finger raised, and captioned it, “First guy to storm the capital today.”
Schulz in red box; the QAnon Shaman can be seen to his right. The police didn't let these people in. |
Schulz has since pled guilty to one misdemeanor. At his sentencing, his lawyer asks for mercy. Schulz say he loves this country, and knows how great it can be with “auditable, secure elections.”
So, still a denier at heart. Trump lost, dude, and you’re getting off lightly with a month in a halfway house in the way of punishment, and 18 months on probation. He’ll be allowed to go to the library at the halfway home to do “remote work.”
Let’s hope he comes out a little smarter than he went in.
Trump supporter, he believed the election was stolen.
*
In with “the wrong crowd.”
1017. LARRY FIFE GIBERSON: Giberson is living proof that you can be admitted to an Ivy League school (Princeton, in his case) and still be a dumb ass and believe Donald Trump won the 2020 election.
He was charged with participating in the pitched battle at the tunnel entrance, which lasted for several hours. At one point, during the fighting, he started yelling at police, chanting, “Drag them out!”
Tourism, at its best, according to Trump apologists.
Giberson will now have to put on hold any dreams of going on to graduate school, as he has pled guilty and been sentenced to two months in a federal lockup.
Like several arrestees, Giberson was hunted down through the efforts of online sleuths at #Sedition Hunters.
We also learn that while at Princeton, young Gilbertson opposed the removal of Woodrow Wilson’s name from school buildings – just because Wilson was a racist. In fact, he feared “the transient impulses of the mob” which would seek to undermine the Nation, or indeed, Humanity itself.”
As for the ultimate irony, Mr. Giberson graduated in June 2023 with a degree in values and public life.
(With a minor in “insurrection?”)
His mother said, at his sentencing, that she believed her son had been caught up in “the wrong crowd.”
Yep: MAGA.
He ends up being sent to jail for 60 days, ordered to serve 180 days of home confinement, and gets docked $2,000.
Trump supporter, he believed the election was stolen.

1018-1019.
ARTHER REYHER and JESSICA
REYHER: The Brownsburg, Indiana couple was arrested on
March 15, 2023, with both husband and wife charged with participating in the
tunnel assault on January 6. Charges leveled against them included “civil
disorder,” a felony. Authorities say they entered the tunnel at 2:43 p.m.,
where some of the most violent fighting occurred, and joined the push to drive
back police. At 2:51 p.m., police drove the rioters out, including the Reyhers.
Undeterred, husband and wife reentered, pushed to the front of the mob, and got
sprayed with chemical irritants and exited a second time, at 3:05 p.m.
“Our house,” Mr. Reyher reportedly enjoyed
shouting at officers – when not getting a face full of chemical spray. Other rioters
in the tunnel could be seen thrusting “pole-like objects”
and spraying “a fire extinguisher at officers.” Arthur could also be seen and
heard yelling, “Push!” and “Keep your hands up and push!”
Even Fox News has this to say:
According
to court documents, authorities interviewed Arthur Reyher on Jan. 20, 2021, who
confirmed he and his wife were at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. Arthur told
police he believed former President Donald Trump lost the presidential election
due to voter fraud — a false claim that has been repeatedly proven to have no supporting evidence.
On
November 7, 2023, both Arthur and Jessica pled
guilty, one felony apiece – and a stint in jail coming
up.
On
February 28, 2024, the end of their journey through
the courts comes. Arthur gets eight months in prison. Jessica gets three. Both
get hit up for restitution, for a combined total of $4,000.
Trump supporters, they believed the election was rigged.

Day 1,183.
1020. ELLIOTT RESNICK: Another day, another arrest. Another January 6 rioter charged with multiple felonies, including assault. Resnick is described as the former editor of a right-wing, Orthodox Jewish newspaper, the Jewish Press.
He could be editing the Shawshank Prison News next. He was fired from his job in May 2021, after he was first identified as one of the rioters. Authorities had apparently been building the case against him since.
When not rioting, Mr. Resnick enjoys a number of right-wing hobbies – such as gay bashing. He has labeled the gay rights movement “evil.” After one pride parade, he compared marchers to animals, adulterers, and thieves. As for blacks, complaining about their treatment in this country, Resnick had a ready solution for their ills. Let them “discard Christianity (which the ‘white man’ gave them) and re-embrace the primitive religions they practiced in Africa.”
And you thought they just wanted cops to stop kneeling on their necks and shooting them while they sleep!
In a tweet on November 29, 2020, Resnick also howled about the stolen election, citing what he considered to be flagrant disregard of election laws.
According to the Department of Justice, on January 6,
Resnick was among a mob
illegally massed on the East Plaza of the U.S. Capitol and one of the many who
rushed up the Central East Steps when the police line fell at that location. As
the crowd surged forward toward the East Rotunda Doors, Resnick moved with the
crowd and can be seen repeatedly gesturing for others to come up the stairs.
While police officers were fighting to keep the mob away from the East Rotunda
Doors, Resnick grabbed and held the arm of a USCP officer who was at the time
deploying a chemical irritant in an effort to keep rioters from entering the
U.S. Capitol. Resnick was one of the first to push their way inside the Capitol
through the East Rotunda Doors, entering at approximately 2:26 p.m.
When Resnick entered the
Capitol, one door was open, and the other door was closed. After Resnick
failed to push open the southern door of the East Rotunda Doors, which was
closed, he reached through the open northern door and, using his arms began
grabbing and pulling other rioters into the U.S. Capitol.
In all, he
spent more than an hour inside, and a good time was had by all. Resnick, for
example, kept patting other rioters on the back, as they entered. Yay! Yay! We
stopped the wheels of democracy from turning Trump out – just because the
voters did.
UPDATE: At first, Resnick, and the owners
of the Jewish Press tried to claim he was at the Capitol like any other
journalist – and not subject to be charged. Evidence proved otherwise, and on
January 30, 2024 (these cases do drag, and there are many), he pled guilty to a
single felony charge.
Day 1,183 since the last presidential election.
Still no
evidence proven in any court, state or federal, that the election was stolen
from Trump, or rigged in any way.
UPDATE #2: He learns in September 2024, that he will be occupying a jail cell for four months. That will lead up to 24 months on probation. Resnick must also pay $10,539 in fines and restitution.

A “treasonous act.”
1021. JOSEPH ABASICANO: On March 14, 2023, the January 6 riot claimed not the life of another police officer, but the job of Officer Abasciano, former employee of the Boston police department. Abasciano was not injured in the riot, nor has he been charged for his role. What he did do, however, was send out dozens of incendiary tweets that day, while simultaneously listening to Donald J. Trump speak.
Among other screeds, Abasciano yelped about Vice President Pence and his “treasonous act” that day – when he counted the legal electoral votes. Abasciano also suggested in an earlier tweet that the military should be used to squash the treasonous government.
The part not led by Trump.
Trump supporter, he believed the election was stolen.
*
1022. TUCKER CARLSON: On April 24, another secondary casualty of the January 6 attack was revealed, when Fox News (recently hammered and nailed for $787.5 million in damages for lying about a “stolen” election which even the loudest talking heads at Fox News knew wasn’t stolen at all) showed Carlson the exit door.
Carlson won’t end up in the slammer like so many of the poor dopes who listened to his shows, and believed Joe Biden wasn’t the legitimate winner in 2020, but he won’t be cashing million dollar paychecks from Fox News any longer. As recently as March 14, Tucker described January 6 as “probably second only to the 2020 election as the biggest scam in my lifetime.”
But behind the scenes, he knew that claims the election had been stolen were bogus. At one point, he described President Trump as a “demonic force, a destroyer,” warning that Trump’s lies about his loss could bring down Fox itself. As early as November 8, just five days after the election, in a text (revealed as part of the defamation case filed by Dominion), Carlson agreed with producer Alex Pfeiffer who said he could see no “evidence of voter fraud that swung the election.”
“The software s**t [the lie that software had been used to shift millions of votes from Trump to Biden] is absurd,” Tucker admitted.
Yet, the next
evening, he hinted
darkly to viewers, “we don't know anything about the software.”
“We don't know how many votes were stolen on Tuesday night. We don’t know anything about the software that many say was rigged. We don’t know. We ought to find out,” he added. “But here’s what we do know. On a larger level, at the highest levels, actually, our system isn’t what we thought it was. It’s not as fair as it should be. Not even close.”
Only we do know now.
More than 900 days have passed since the last presidential election. And Team Trump has been clobbered in court again and again. Not one state, red or blue, has been able to prove significant voter fraud occurred in 2020.
Now Carlson has been fired himself.
Good
riddance. He won’t be heading for jail, but in history, his name should live in
ignominy.

Praying for a throat to be cut, ear to ear.
1023. Bradley Scott Nelson: Add another angry white guy to the list of J6 defendants, charged with participating in a half-assed insurrection, egged on by a half-assed president. And possibly encouraged by a steady diet of half-assed Fox News coverage of the “stolen” election.
Mr. Nelson was arrested on March 22, 2023. It turns out Nelson, a commercial truck driver, drove his employer’s vehicle to D.C. in time to get wild for Trump. In fact, he admitted his role in a series of social media posts. In one, he explained with a somewhat questionable grasp of the English language: “I was one of those that breach that I was in the capital I was in the tundra area when everybody got pushed through and all hell broke loose.”
I believe he means the “rotunda” to the Capitol, not the frozen turf of northern climes, where reindeer frolic in the snow.
The defendant also warned on the day of the attack that there was a “bullseye” on “Cocaine Mitch” (we assume he meant Sen. McConnell); and though driven out of the Capitol by late afternoon, Nelson wasn’t ready to give up the fight.
“We’re coming back and taking this motherf**er again tonight,” he allegedly promised on social media.
Two days after the attack, Nelson added a few more thoughts: “If all of us that were there had taken our guns easiest decision do you think that that capital building would be in control of the capital police or do you think would be in control of it patriot Americans.”
You
can also watch Nelson rant and rave, on a video
from that fateful day, if you go to Twitter.
UPDATE: One set of charges apparently wasn’t enough for this “patriot” dope. In August 2024, he is jailed (potentially until further notice) after he posts online threats to various political and judicial leaders. Among others, he posts pictures of New York Attorney General Letitia James, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, Judge Scott McAfee, who is overseeing the Georgia case lodged against Donald Trump for election fraud, and even Justice Amy Coney Barrett.
“I pray to God with all my [expletive] heart that somebody cuts your [expletive] throat from ear to ear you worthless piece of [expletive],” Nelson allegedly said, in comments directed at Justice Barrett.
He has been convicted on a pair of charges, related to his actions during the riot.
Trump supporter, ready
for violence.
*
1024. David Ball: Ball was tagged as a J6 rioter by at least two people who knew him professionally. Ball, who lives in Wells, Maine, was initially charged with four misdemeanors. So, at least he wasn’t pepper spraying police or talking about touching off a civil war.
Wells, the owner of the Broken Glass Company, was caught in part because he wore a sweatshirt, imprinted with his company’s logo, during the attack. Innocent until proven guilty, of course...
Okay. No.
On October 3, Ball pleads guilty to a single misdemeanor. Personally, this blogger is feeling a commercial coming.
Ball appears on camera and says, “Sure, I helped break into the U.S. Capitol, but Broken Glass Company can fix your broken doors and windows. We know how to break them, and how to make them good again.”
(Okay, needs work.)

“I know[,] I am smart honey.”
1025. NATHAN PELHAM: For a long time, Mr. Pelham felt good about his chances of avoiding arrest for participating in the Capitol Hill attack. “It’s a good thing you kept your mask on,” his wife told him that January day. Then she admonished him not to post anything about having been inside on social media.
“I know[,] I am smart honey,” Nathan responded.
Then again: Not so smart.
It took authorities more than two years to track him down, but in April 2023, Nathan was notified that he faced arrest on four misdemeanor charges. When the police arrived to arrest him, Pelham – already a convicted felon – decided it would be smart to fire a few shots in their direction.
USA Today offers a little more detail. The alleged rioter was notified that he was a suspect and ordered to surrender by April 17.
However, authorities were asked to conduct a
“welfare check” at his home on the night of April 12. Pelham allowed his minor
daughter to leave the home, but allegedly walked onto a porch with a gun and
toward law enforcement officers. Even after being asked to put the gun down, he
continued to hold it and fired multiple times. A later search of his home
showed bullet holes in the walls. Officers left his house just after midnight
on April 13. He was arrested April 14.
Pelham,
who came from Texas, dressed in “Proud Boys ” gear on January 6, now finds
himself in a heap of right-wing trouble.
UPDATE (December 1, 2023): Pelham is still awaiting sentencing for his actions during the riot. On the gun charges, he gets two years in prison.
Right-wing type,

1026. Rockne Earles: More than nine hundred days have passed since the 2020 election – and still no proof of any significant voter fraud has been revealed. In fact, what has been uncovered is massive lying by Fox News shills – pushing the fairy tale that Biden cheated Trump out of the win.
That massive lying has now cost Fox $787.5 million, in a defamation case filed by Dominion Voting Machines.
And that isn’t even the end of the business – with Fox also facing a defamation suit, on similar grounds, for $2.7 billion, filed by the voting technology company Smartmatic.
None of this has anything to do with Earles – save for the fact that he believed in the stolen election myth – went to D.C. to stand up for democracy – and attacked the democratic side by mistake. He stands accused of having thrown at least one police officer to the ground that day, using “what appears to be a significant amount of force.”
As the Department of Justice notes, “Victim Officer 1” told investigators,
he recalled being assaulted numerous times on
January 6, 2021, including being struck with a flagpole by an unidentified
male, being knocked to the ground by three men, and being hit in the head. As
result of the riots on January 6, 2021, including this incident, Victim Officer
1 was concussed, treated for medical injuries at the hospital, and out of work
for 45 days.
Earles was living in North Dakota at the time of the January 6 riot, but was arrested in New Mexico in 2023. Previously, he had run for a seat on the Barnes County Commission, in North Dakota, in the 2020 election. He received 43% of the vote. A former officer in the U.S. Army, Earles ran on a platform of lower taxes and more support for local small businesses.
Two days before the riot, he helped organize a bus ride, leaving Bismarck, North Dakota, including a package rate and hotel reservation in D.C. Travelers would arrive in time to attend the “Stop the Steal Rally” on the fateful morning of January 6, and listen to Trump lie about winning.
Now his next stop is likely a cell in a federal prison.
Trump supporter.
*
1027. MICHAEL ANGELO RILEY: Officer Riley turns out to be a secondary casualty of the riot, like Tucker Carlson, only not such a liar.
On duty that January 6 day, the Capitol Police officer later texted defendant Jacob Hiles, and warned him to delete evidence of his small part in the attack on Congress. Riley was soon exposed and charged with felony interference in an investigation. A federal jury found him guilty in October 2022. His punishment included 120 days’ home confinement and two years’ probation.
More painfully, Riley, a 25-year-veteran on the force, got fired from his position and lost his police pension.
He was also fined $10,000.
At his sentencing, Mr. Riley said he was “remorseful” every day for what he had done, and his failure as an officer of the law.

*
1028. DAVID ELIZALDE: First Class Petty Officer Elizalde was serving aboard the U.S.S. Harry Truman in January 2020. Feeling the call of the president, to “get wild,” he took leave from his base in Norfolk, Virginia and headed for D.C., in time to join the riot in support of President Trump.
Arrested in April 2023, he became the fifth active duty service person charged in connection with the attack on democracy.
(Roughly 13% of all those charged have some
military background.)
The defendant was inside the Capitol for only three minutes, but long enough to jeopardize his military career.
And have we mentioned?
As of December 11, 2023, 1,133 days have passed since Joe Biden smoked Donald Trump in the last presidential election.
Not a scrap of proof has so far been uncovered to prove that the election was anything but legitimate.
As for Mr. Elizalde, he decided to go for a jury trial, wasted a lot of time and money, and still got convicted on a single misdemeanor charge. Had he done what many non-violent rioters did – and taken a plea deal – he almost certainly would have had to plead guilty to a single misdemeanor.
But Donald’s lips are still moving – and that means he’s still lying about what happened in November 2020.
On April 19, 2024, sure enough, 1,263 days have passed since the last election; and Donald is still lying about winning; and courts are still not finding any evidence of significant fraud; and the judge cuts Elizalde a break, in light of his good record of service, and gives him only 30 days, home confinement.
He was also fined $2,500.

1029. THOMAS CASSELMAN: According to law enforcement officials, before his arrest, Mr. Casselman googled “assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer,” and “statute of limitations for assault on a federal officer.” Also links on how to mix chlorine gas and brake fluid to make bombs. Whatever the limits, they weren’t enough to save Casselman, who was finally arrested on March 28, 2023. In video evidence from that day, he can be seen using bear mace to spray police officers during the January 6 mayhem. At least four officers were doused, “leaving bright orange residue visible on their clothing and equipment.”
An unusual wart on the suspect’s left hand helped authorities identify him; and on March 21, 2024, he pleaded guilty.
He has since been sentenced to 40 months in prison, 36 additional on probation, and fined $2,000.

1030-1031. HEATHER KEPLEY and ANTHONY NOLF: The charges against Kepley and Nolf are described as follows:
Anthony Nolf, 37, of
Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, is charged in a criminal complaint filed in the
District of Columbia with civil disorder, a felony, as well as the misdemeanor
offenses of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds and
disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds. He was
arrested today in Pennsylvania and had an initial appearance in the Eastern
District of Pennsylvania.
Heather Kepley, 36, of
Millsboro, Delaware, is also named in the complaint and is charged with the
misdemeanor offenses of entering and remaining in a restricted building or
grounds and disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or
grounds. She was arrested this morning in Delaware and had an initial
appearance in the District of Delaware.
According to court documents,
on Jan. 6, 2021, Nolf and Kepley entered the Capitol grounds and approached the
West front near the Inaugural Stage, where they assisted other rioters in
moving bike racks from an area near the scaffolding that were impeding the
rioters’ approach to the Capitol building. After moving one of the bike racks,
the pair made their way to the Lower West Terrace and the Tunnel. Kepley and
Nolf joined other rioters in attempting to force their way past the law
enforcement officers responsible for securing the Tunnel.
While inside the Tunnel, Nolf
confronted and assisted the crowd in confronting the police officers that
were preventing the Tunnel and the Capitol from being breached. Specifically,
while inside the Tunnel, Nolf added his force, momentum, body, and effort to
the other rioters in a “heave-ho” effort. This put intense aggregate
pressure on the police line in front of the rioters. Officers succeeded in
repelling Nolf and Kepley and other rioters out of the Tunnel. Nolf and Kepley
stood outside the Tunnel for a period of time and watched as officers
cleared the Tunnel of protestors.
They were finally charged on
April 5, 2023. In the Statement of Facts in their case, it would appear both
defendants got a face full of pepper spray before
being repelled. A number of other rioters can also be seen piled up like
victims of a rock concert ticket stampede.
Kepley made it clear, on
social media, that she and Nolf, her brother, were in D.C. on January 6,
“supporting our President.”
Now, Nolf is “supporting”
Trump by getting his dumb ass convicted on a felony charge, and he gets three months in jail. He also gets
five months more on home confinement, thirty-six more on probation, and owes
$2,000.
Kepley has also been convicted
on lesser charges and sentenced to three years on probation and $2,000 in fines
and restitution.

1032. JOSEPH ROBERT FISHER: It’s never a good look when a former cop, this time one from Boston, gets arrested.
He retired from the force after more than twenty years, in 2016.
During the attack on Capitol Hill he pushed a chair in front of an officer inside the building, after that officer was sprayed with a chemical agent and gave the sprayer chase. As prosecutors note, Fisher then “engaged in a physical assault against the Victim, which ended with Fisher on the ground and out of the camera frame.”
Facing sentencing, in May 2024, he apologized for his actions, noted that he will lose a disability pension while imprisoned, and that he would be leaving his “beautiful wife and two children with responsibilities that should be mine.” He was in D.C. that day to protest against the election.
He will spend the next 20 months in prison, spend two additional years on probation, and will pay $2,000.
Trump supporter, violent.
*
1033. FREDERIC FIOL: Mr. Fiol was upset for a whole slew of reasons on January 6, almost all stupid. On social media he complained that D.C. police were escorting buses full of “antifa fucks” to the Capitol. In an earlier Facebook post, showing a screenshot of his Amazon cart, he told a friend he was, “Gearing up to go help save western civilization as we know it.”
In fact, Fiol decided it was time to riot to stop a riot. Later, he boasted on social media, “I made history today.”
He was arrested in Texas on April 11, 2023.
In a social media response to what Fiol said about his role in the attack on Congress, a friend warned him (rightly), “you guys are following a fuckin’ idiot. Trump’s a fuckin’ douche bag, psychopath[.]”
On November 15, 2023, Fiol made even more history, agreeing to a plea deal and admitting his cameo appearance in the attack on democracy. He was inside the Capitol for only fifteen minutes – apparently took a couple of puffs on a joint – and headed back to a hotel where he and a friend were staying on January 6.
On March 24, 2024, the bill came due for Mr. Fiol. Believing Trump’s lies will cost him 45 days in jail.

*
1034. STACEY STEPHENS: This blogger’s interest always comes down to determining what motivated the rioters on January 6. (As mentioned at the start, he became enmeshed in the story after a former student claimed the rioters were left-wing types, trying to make patriot Trump supporters look bad.
Hundreds of hours of research have disproven that claim. Even the right-wing website, Gateway Pundit, describes Stephens as a “Trump supporter,” a “Virginia Grandma” who took a fifteen minute walk inside the Capitol on January 6, along with her “Elderly Mother.”
No word yet on any arrest of Linda Carpenter, the great grandmother, the Pundit noted. Stephens herself was charged with four misdemeanor offenses. When interviewed by federal agents, she confirmed that she and Carpenter did in fact enter the Capitol Building.
She has since pled guilty to a single misdemeanor, and in October, 2023, she got her prize for rioting. Fourteen days in jail, three full years on probation, sixty hours of community service, and a $500 fine.
Trump supporter.
*
1035. Tricia LaCount: Ms. LaCount was identified rather easily, after a video of rioters on January 6 surfaced, showing her and others trashing the office of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. LaCount herself noted on social media that office appointments were “so gaudy,” and “MSNBC was live on every laptop.” Now LaCount will be live on MSNBC herself.
A neighbor confirmed to federal agents that LaCount told her she planned to drive from Tulsa to D.C., in order to attend Trump’s “Stop the Steal” rally. It took a long time, but her arrest finally came in April 2023.
She was inside the building, doing her small part to destroy democracy, for roughly an hour and fifteen minutes.
She has now plead guilty to a single misdemeanor.
Trump supporter.
*
1036. JONATHAN GRACE: The Colorado Springs man was arrested in March 2023, after he was finally identified as one of the rioters who attacked police in the tunnel leading inside the Capitol Building. Grace was accused of joining the “collective effort” by rioters to push past lines of police defending the halls of Congress.
And also democracy.
After joining one assault, and almost crushing one officer between a door and a stolen police shield, Grace and others briefly withdrew from the tunnel. Then, at 3:15, having handed over his beanie and other items to his wife, Virginia Grace, who remained outside, Jonathan reentered the tunnel with others and assaulted police lines a second time. As the Statement of Facts explains in his case,
“GRACE made his way to the front of the mob of
rioters inside the tunnel and joined rioters pushing against police. Other
rioters quickly joined behind him. Video footage shows GRACE pushing against
police with other rioters, while the mob of rioters aggressively yells commands
like, ‘PUSH!’ and ‘LET’S GO!’ and ‘WHOSE STREETS? OUR STREETS!’”
Grace was also standing nearby when rioters dragged officer Michael Fanone into the mob and began beating him.
And Grace still wasn’t finished. Having been driven out of the tunnel twice, he joined a third assault,
As
police officers continued to attempt to fully clear the tunnel of rioters,
rioters reciprocated with violence; they threw objects, sprayed chemical
irritants, collectively pushed, and violently attacked the officers at the
mouth of the tunnel. GRACE remained at the front of the tunnel, fighting with
officers and using his body to maintain ground. He held onto the tunnel
archway, turned his back to officers, and resisted the officers’ pushing.
He faced multiple charges as a result, including felony civil disorder and assault on a federal officer.
In October 2023, he pled guilty to felony assault. It costs him two years in jail, three more on supervised release, and $7,000 in fines and restitution.
(LIKELY TRUMP SUPPORTER; NOT DEFINITIVE.)
*
1037-1038. Jeanette Mangia and Joseph Pastucci: The arrests keep coming – and still no evidence of significant voter fraud to make it worth rioting for those who are headed for prison. They rioted for nothing.
They fell for the Big Lie.
The latest pair to be charged are a husband and wife team, Jeanette Mangia, 44, and Joseph Pastucci, 49, who face nine charges each. The couple can be seen in a photo from January 6, inside the Senate chamber. Both are dressed in Trump gear, and the missus is carrying a bullhorn. Shortly before, they also appear to have entered the office of Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Selfies were snapped, and a good time was had by all, with Mangia finishing off her trip to the Capitol by kicking a cop in the nuts as she exited.
Her husband was turned in to the F.B.I. after a tipster noticed he was wearing the same hat at the riot, a camo “Veterans for Trump” baseball piece, that he sported in a picture on a dating website. (Let’s hope for the sake of their marriage, that picture was taken pre-wedding bliss.)
In June 2024, Mangia failed to appear in court. A bench warrant was issued, and she was arrested in July.
Pastucci did show up – and got his dumb ass convicted.
(LIKELY TRUMP SUPPORTERS.)
*
1039. DAVID CHARLES RHINE: Mr. Rhine opted for a jury trial, and ended up being convicted on all four misdemeanor charges in April 2023. He’s lucky he wasn’t hit with any felonies, since he was briefly arrested on January 6, inside the Capitol Building, doing the usual tourist thing – as one bonehead GOP lawmaker put it.
Rhine was carrying two knives and pepper spray at the time, but was not detained. He was inside the Capitol for 22 minutes – but didn’t help his defense when prosecutors noted that his wife had posted on Facebook that he had entered the building.
And she was proud of him.
Now,
she can visit him in jail for four months,
and think about what she and her husband could have done with the $7,376
dollars he owes in fines and restitution.

*
1040. JONATHAN R. BONNEY: Bonney, 38, a gentleman from Wisconsin helps the feds close out April with a bang, when he is finally arrested and charged for his participation in the January 6 insurrection.
F.B.I. agents first got a tip that on a January 7 flight home from the riot, Bonney told a fellow passenger he was inside the Capitol. It took until very recently to identify him amidst the mob.
Clearly, Bonney should have stuck to talking about the Packers during his flight. He was inside the Capitol, at most, for twelve minutes. In March 2024, he agreed to plead guilty to multiple misdemeanor charges.
His
penalty:
a year on probation, and $500.
UPDATE: You can’t always be sure what motivated these people to riot; and, at first, I had Bonney listed as “political affiliation unknown.”
In the wake of his sentencing, however, several of the texts he sent in days leading up to and after the attack, were revealed. They included telling multiple people he would be in D.C. on January 6, to join “the massive Trump rally at the Capital [sic] building on January 6 for the electoral count!!”
Then he added, “if something crazy happens, I want to be part of it!”
He also tested others, wondering if “any of you other [f–ers] [are] down to go say [f–] the democrats.”
Before entering the Capitol, he texted: “We’re storming the Capital!!!”
Afterward, when all the fighting was done, he added, “I’m not ashamed of how it went down…they need a wake up call and hopefully they got it,” as well as “I was ready to go in and hang Pelosi.”

Home schooling curriculum.
1041. Daniel Charles Ball: The arrests keep piling up and Mr. Ball, a Floridian, is nailed to start May 2023. He is accused of throwing some type of incendiary device at police defending the Capitol.
Several officers are said to have been injured.
Ball is finally arrested and charged with multiple felonies on May 2.
More recently, on July 20, he made a call from jail to supporters outside protesting the incarceration of defendants like Ball. He mentioned that it was his dad’s birthday (68), and his (33) and then thanked Pops for turning him into the great patriot he is today. His home schooling, he said, included listening to “three hours of Rush Limbaugh a day.” Well, Rush is dead.
Now, Daniel faces five felony charges and he’s sitting in the can.
Trump is still free, but facing multiple indictments, and on July 21, 2023, when I update this post, 991 days have passed since the last presidential election. Trump is running again, still saying he got cheated out of a win, and there’s still never been any evidence proven in any court that that is true.
At the time of his arrest on charges related to the January 6 attack, Ball, the great patriot that he is, was already serving five years on probation in Florida, for attacking five civilians – and two police.
Right-wing type.

“Kill ’em.”
1042. Jared Wise: You won’t see this kind of story often, but Mr. Wise has been charged with participating in the Jan. 6. attack. What makes his case different is that Mr. Wise is an ex-FBI supervisory special agent.
Wise had worked for the F.B.I. for thirteen years, 2004-2017, before becoming a rioter (alleged).
He is said to have referred to police officers defending the Capitol that day as “Nazis,” and howled repeatedly that the mob should kill them.
According to one report,
A review of MPD body-worn camera footage
reveals Wise engaging with police officers. At approximately 4:21 p.m., on the
Upper West Terrace, Wise tells MPD officers, “You guys are disgusting. I’m
former – I’m former law enforcement. You’re disgusting. You are the Nazi. You
are the Gestapo. You can’t see it. . . . Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on
you!” When violence against law enforcement began in front of Wise, including
officers being knocked to the ground directly in front of him, Wise turned in
the direction of the violence and shouted, “Yeah, fuck them! Yeah, kill ‘em!” A
few seconds later, as assaults continued, he shouted in the direction of the
rioters attacking the police line, “Kill ‘em! Kill ‘em! Kill ‘em!”
He has been charged with a pair of felonies and four misdemeanors, as a bonus, for his role in the January 6 attack.
(POLITICAL AFFILIATION TO BE DETERMINED.)

1043. Jenny Inzuza Vargas Geller: Not many rioters showed up on January 6, stylishly dressed, wearing a pink beret, high heels, and carrying a Dolce & Gabbana handbag.
Having

can confidently say that Jenny is the first he would describe as “hot.”

Online sleuths had tried to identify her for months, without luck. Ms. Geller was finally turned in by an ex-boyfriend, after a friend of his saw her picture (alleged) on an F.B.I. website and forwarded it to her ex.
Her ex later told a reporter, “I stopped dead in my tracks,” and said to myself, “That’s Jenny,” and called a tipline.
Geller now joins the growing list of rioters facing serious legal jeopardy. Her ex said they hit it off well when they first started dating. Then one day she mentioned she was reading Hitler’s Mein Kampf.
And liking it.
According to a reporter for NBC, her ex explained their breakup: “I was just instantly turned off, like, ‘Yo, I don’t think this is going to work out,’” he said. “You’re, like, reading ‘Mein Kampf,’ you think immigrants don’t deserve X, Y, Z.”
They remained in contact, however, and her ex said Geller got deep into politics, whereas all he knew was Trump lost the 2020 election. In the days after the riot, he asked Geller if she had been in D.C. She said she had, but had not entered the Capitol. “I was there to support the president,” she told him.
Now she’s accused of doing more than just that.
Prosecutors say they have evidence that Geller sold a Dolce & Gabbana bag, matching the one she carried during the riot, online later.
She described it as “slightly damaged.”
FUN FACT: Geller was described by another rioter as a “femme fatale,” and he went on to claim she was a government plant to lead the dupes that filled the ranks of the mob into sin and insurrection. Since her identity was revealed, her husband Spencer has also been identified and charged as one of the January rioters (#1108 on our list). The couple may be currently living in Japan.

Lt. Shane M. Lamond: Lamond, of the
D.C. Metropolitan Police, has been arrested and accused of tipping off Enrique
Tarrio. With Tarrio headed back to D.C. on January 4, hoping to be there in
time to help storm the Capitol, Lamond told him a warrant was out for his
arrest. The next day, Tarrio was arrested – and missed out on the fun.The
Washington Post explains:
“#F — ktheblue,” other Proud Boys wrote in a group chat after
Lamond’s first warning, and “Agree, they chose their f-----g side so let’s get
this done.”
Prosecutors said Proud Boys discussed storming the Capitol, overwhelming police and rallying “normies” to join their side in violence on behalf of then-President Donald Trump’s push to overturn the presidential election.
On January 8, just two days after the attack, Lamond
told Tarrio that he hoped none of the Proud Boys would be arrested as a
result of their involvement in the riot. (Dozens ultimately were.)
"Of course I can’t say it officially,” Lamond told Tarrio, “but personally I support you all and don’t want to see your group’s name or reputation dragged through the mud.”

Sandra Atkinson: Ms. Atkinson has not been charged – but could be. An investigation by USA Today found that Atkinson, a licensed massage therapist from Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and a Republican political operative, was inside the Capitol on January 6.
According to reporters,
Atkinson
traveled to Washington, D.C. with two busloads of Trump supporters to join the planned
protests.
“We are
going to D.C. for the working-class families to guarantee a fair election
process for generations to come,” Atkinson said. “As a veteran myself, I didn't
fight for this country to have our rights to a fair election bypassed by corrupt
politicians.”
Sherri Edwards Cox, who served with Atkinson on the Okaloosa County GOP committee, told USA TODAY Atkinson later bragged about going into the building and claimed to have entered the office of then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Cox also identified Atkinson in video footage that appeared to show Atkinson entering the building.
Atkinson has allegedly been identified among the rioters, but there is no evidence she was involved in any violence.
Still, this is who these people were. They weren’t left-wing agitators. They were Trump’s people, summoned to D.C. by Trump himself. In 2018, for example, Atkinson had accused survivors of the Parkland, Florida school massacre of being “crisis actors.” She later apologized for that. More recently, she ran for a seat in the Florida legislature, only to be arrested for stealing campaign signs from a rival. She was found guilty and ordered to enroll in a diversion program and pay fines and fees.

1045. ULISES WILKINSON: On this 938th day since the 2020 election, Wilkinson is the latest person charged – including with participating in the attack on democracy. His role was first brought to the attention of authorities by a “Confidential Human Source” in May 2022. In July of that year, Wilkinson called an F.B.I. agent and began cooperating.
Wilkinson is seen carrying two hand drawn posters that day, one featuring the words: “Free Assange!”
He entered the building on at least two occasions, and during one “visit” made it into the Senate chamber, for about two minutes. There, he says he saw two rioters engaged in a physical confrontation. So he quickly exited.
A search of his phone later reveals a picture of the defendant in the Capitol Rotunda. This time the sign he’s holding reads, “Move Mitch! get out of the way!”
In a note he wrote on his phone, on April 26, 2021, “WILKINSON also expressed remorse for his actions, stating he “regretted it since the moment I stepped foot inside.”
Initially, he faced a pair of misdemeanor charges. He may be one of those rioters lucky enough to get off with probation, or a period of home confinement, rather than serious time in jail.
In January 2024, he pleads guilty to a pair of misdemeanors. He does, in fact, get probation and a bill for $500.

*
1046. JOSHUA HALL: The Department of Justice ends the month of May 2023, with the unsealing of an indictment and guilty plea by Mr. Hall. To say his legal problems are extensive would be an understatement. First, he has pled guilty to threatening to kill a California member of Congress.
Not exactly the smartest man ever to get convicted of multiple felonies, Hall told three members of that lawmaker’s staff that
he had a lot of
AR-15s; that he wanted to shoot the Congressman; that he intended to come to
the Congressman’s office with firearms; and that if he saw the Congressman, he
would kill him. He further stated, in substance and in part, that he
wanted to “beat the shit out of” the Congressman and that he would find the
Congressman wherever he was and hurt him. On a telephone call with Staff
Member-3, HALL stated, in substance and in part, that he intended to come to
the Congressman’s office to kill the Congressman with firearms.
Hall has also plead guilty to one felony count of wire fraud, after he impersonated members of the Trump family, including Robert Trump, the president’s brother, and then Barron, his youngest child, and raised thousands of dollars online which he claimed would go to a political organization, but in fact he used to pay his living expenses.
Plus, he was clearly inside the Capitol on January 6 – and he even made friends with other Trump rioters.
So: Not a total waste of the day.
Finally, on August 1, 2023, Hall pretty much gives up and pleads guilty again – this time to charges related to his criminal activity on Jan. 6. For his sins that day, he nets a year on probation and $700 in fines and restitution.

Love in the air – also tear gas.
1047. SCOTT COLUMBUS: We can add a fresh face to our ever-lengthening list of Capitol Hill rioters. (Maybe two). The central New York gentleman has now been charged with entering the halls of Congress on January 6, 2021, along with his girlfriend, Renee Fatta (see below).
In fact, Scott would later say that it was Renee’s idea to go, after she heard about the big Trump rally from a right-wing Youtuber she listened to. Columbus also claimed that he and his lady were “pushed inside” by the mob; but prosecutors say, “Nope, not what the videos show.”
He has explained that he drove from his home in Wolcott, New York, to Washington D.C., so that he and his main squeeze could hear Trump speak.
Originally, he faced two charges, and in September 2023, he pled guilty to one misdemeanor.
As for his romance with Fatta, it has apparently ended. Plus the poor dope got put on probation for 30 months, and has to pay a$500 fine.
Trump supporter.
*
1048. RENEE FATTA: According to prosecutors, Fatta and Columbus are no longer a couple. But both are under arrest. Renee’s pink Trump stocking cap, blonde dreadlocks and nose ring made the movements of the couple (seen at one point holding hands during the riot) easier to track.
At one point, they are seen, briefly, inside an office being ransacked by a crowd of happy Trump fans.
Interviewed by federal agents, Fatta, like Columbus, tried to claim she and her boyfriend were pushed inside by the mob – and what are you going to do, but go with the riotous MAGA tide?
Like her ex, Fatta was hit with a pair of misdemeanor charges, and at worst was looking at a short stint in jail.
She pled guilty to one charge, rolled the judicial dice, as it were, and came up with two years on probation and a fine of $500.

*
1049. Peter G. Moloney: Nothing says, “I’m a patriotic American,” quite so well as attacking members of the free press during a riot – to keep a president in power, even though he lost the election by 7,000,000 votes.
When not doing his part to trample the First Amendment, Moloney runs a funeral parlor in New York. Among his crimes, Moloney was part of a group of Trump fans who attacked reporters covering the riot. He had been identified some time ago – but was not arrested until June 7, 2023.
We can all remember when President Trump claimed the people who attacked that day were “hugging and kissing” police. The Department of Justice describes Moloney’s hugging and kissing that day:
According to court documents, on Jan. 6, 2021,
Moloney was among the early members of a mob illegally massed on the West Plaza
of the Capitol during the initial breach of the Capitol grounds. As the police
officers used barricades to attempt to keep the rioters, Moloney put on a
helmet, protective eyewear, gloves, and a face covering. At approximately 1:29
p.m., Moloney removed a can of Black Flag® Wasp, Hornet & Yellow Jacket
Killer2 spray from his backpack and used it on police officers,
spraying it in the direction of the officers’ faces and bodies. Moloney sprayed
police officers with the insecticide on at least one other occasion.
Additionally, on two separate occasions, Moloney joined other rioters in
surrounding and striking individuals that the mob believed to be members of the
news media.
Smooch, smooch. Moloney faced an array of felony charges, to go along with a grab bag of misdemeanors.
Evidence also showed that Mr. Moloney was a “prolific” donor to Republican candidates and conservative causes.
In October 2024, he pleaded guilty to felony assault of a police officer.
Trump supporter, violent.

1050. PAUL MODRELL: Modrell was not arrested until December 2022, and must have dreamed of getting away. Unfortunately for him, he breached the Capitol on January 6, and then posted incriminating pictures on Facebook.
According to the Statement of Facts in his case, Mr. Modrell entered the Capitol through a broken window.
He is said to have remained inside for 25 minutes, snapping photos and making videos along his way.
He pled guilty to
one misdemeanor, and in October 2023, he learned his fate. Ninety days home
confinement, three years on probation, and a fine of $500.
*
1051. JAY JOHNSTON: Johnston, of “Bob’s Burgers,” and “Arrested Development” fame has now been arrested and charged with participating in the January 6 insurrection. It took a long time for the feds to build a case; but Johnston lost his role on the cartoon “Burgers” show way back in December 2021, after suspicion spread that he had been one of the rioters.
According to CBS, the charging papers in his case note that Johnston held a police shield over his head and “then participated with other rioters in a group assault on the officers defending the [Lower West Terrace] entrance.”
Another actor who had worked with Johnston once described him as “a craven Trump supporter.” In addition, Johnston is said to have associated with Gavin McInnes, founder of the Proud Boys.
So, innocent until proven guilty – but STILL no Antifa supporters arrested so far.
And for fun, Hollywood Reporter has said Johnston showed up at a party last October, dressed as the QAnon Shaman (Jacob Anthony Chansley, #101 on our list), which is kind of cool – in a delusional, QAnon, Trump-fan kind of way.
At least one person who worked with Johnston said he admitted he had been at the Capitol during the riot, and that he was there because he believed there had been election fraud. So, 946 days since the 2020 election was held – and 0 election fraud of significance proven in court – more than a thousand rioters are facing or dealing with the consequences of their actions. And the most likely person to be charged with serious election fraud in the next few months would be this guy:
UPDATE #2 (October 29, 2024): He has now been sentenced to a year and a day in prison, with the judge noting he will miss out on helping care for his 13-year-old, autistic daughter. We can assume he will be cheering on a Trump victory the next week.
Trump supporter, he believed the election was stolen.
*
1052-1053. Toney Sheldon Bray and Ethan Bray: The father and son team of insurrectionists from Mississippi was finally charged in June 2023.
Let’s hope they found rioting to overturn the results of the 2020 election to be a true bonding experience.
A Department of Justice press release notes:
According to court documents, on Jan. 6, 2021, the defendants were part of the initial breach of police barricades, at approximately 12:53 p.m. at Peace Circle, located at Pennsylvania Avenue NW and First Street NW. Specifically, Ethan and Tony [sic] Bray pushed and climbed over the police barriers. As the Brays and other rioters approached the first set of barricades, “AREA CLOSED” signs were affixed to the barriers. The Brays were among the first to confront law enforcement on the staircase under scaffolding leading from the West Plaza to the Lower West Terrace. They entered the U.S. Capitol Building at approximately 2:22 p.m. through the Senate Wing Door and moved toward the Crypt as captured on Capitol CCTV footage. At the time they entered the Capitol, the Brays were wearing gas masks. The Brays were captured on CCTV in the Crypt at approximately 2:24 p.m. After exiting the Crypt, the Brays moved together to the Rotunda, where they were again captured in an open-source photo and Capitol CCTV at approximately 2:36 p.m. After moving between the hallway and the Rotunda for some time, the Brays ultimately exited through the Rotunda doors leading to the East Front of the Capitol at approximately 2:54 p.m. In total, the Brays were inside the Capitol from approximately 2:22 p.m. until 2:54 p.m., for a total of 32 minutes. After leaving the Rotunda, open-source and Capitol CCTV footage captured Toney Bray carrying a U.S. Capitol Police riot shield. The elder Bray still had the shield after exiting the Capitol building.
UPDATE: When I check for more information, I learn that Bray and Bray were arrested on the evening of January 5, for a curfew violation in D.C. Both had gas masks hanging from their backs at the time; and both men had tactical helmets on to protect their heads. Ethan has a flag patch, and an “Armor of God,” patch on one sleeve. Pop also had an “Armor of God” patch, and another right-wing patch, although hard to make out what it says (I have seen it on other rioters; that I know.)
For extra fun, dad appears to have walked away from the riot with a police shield as a souvenir.
Both men have now been convicted.
(LIKELY TRUMP SUPPORTERS.)
*
1054. Christopher Pearce: When first contacted by federal authorities, about his possible role in the January 6 riot, Mr. Pearce admitted he was inside the Capitol, but claimed he was pushed by them mob.
So what are you going to do?
Video evidence, however, showed the suspect walking in all on his own. (Pushed by his guardian angel?)
Finally, on April 19, 2023, the judicial boom was lowered on the Pennsylvania man, and he was arrested and hauled into court.
Certainly, in the Statement of Facts regarding his case, Pearce seems to have anticipated trouble. During the riot, he wore goggles and a painter’s respirator – since he expected there would be tear gas.
Pearce wore a Trump flag wrapped round his neck that day, and hung out with Trump supporters and took pictures. All in all, his behavior that day was bad enough to net him two misdemeanor charges.
In October 2023, he pled guilty to one.

“Next time no fucken way!”
1055. David Davis: Just ten days after the attack on Capitol Hill, a tipster told federal authorities that Davis, who went by “Dirty White Country Boy” on social media, was bragging about taking part.
Allegedly, in one video he posted from that day, Davis announces, “We’re in the capital and they shot a girl in the neck and killed her.”
One reason his arrest was delayed would seem to be that Davis moved from Keller, Texas to Hudson, Florida sometime after the riot.
We also know what motivated Davis to travel all the way from Keller to Washington D.C.
On
January 5, 2021, at approximately 5:17 p.m., DAVIS posted on the Twitter
account in part:
Hard to
fathom that communism is even a debate! For over half my life we fought wars
over it. Yet here we are on the brink of it.\n\nUnfortunately, if this
FRAUDULENT ELECTION isn’t corrected the only alternative is a bloody civil
war.\n\nWhat a waste!
Davis tweeted numerous times on January 6, detailing some of his thoughts and actions.
At
approximately 4:14 a.m., DAVIS posted on the Twitter account from Chantilly,
Virginia: “Plan A: Love my country. Stay [&] fight peacefully. Defend the
Constitution. [. . .]\n\nPlan B: Hate communism. Move out to the country.
Prepare to kill Communists. [. . .]”
At
approximately 8:43 a.m., DAVIS re-tweeted former President Trump on his Twitter
account: “RT @realDonaldTrump: States want to correct their votes, which they
now know were based on irregularities and fraud, plus corrupt process [. . .]”
At approximately
2:59 p.m., DAVIS posted on the Twitter account: “We’re in the capital and they
shot a girl in the neck and killed her.”
At
approximately 3:10 p.m., DAVIS posted on the Twitter account: “From this day
forward the police are traitors!”
At approximately
4:50 p.m., DAVIS posted on the Twitter account: “We’re leaving peaceful now
next time no fucken way!”
At
approximately 5:31 p.m., DAVIS posted on the Twitter account, tagging another
Twitter user: “Were you there and did you storm the capital along with us?”
At
approximately 7:33 p.m., DAVIS made multiple posts to the Twitter account:
I like
how some people want to put the term \”Patriot\” into a nice little box filled
full of stupid pacifists when it comes to sending an historic message to
HARDCORE CRIMINAL ELECTION FRAUD, COMMUNISM, and INJUSTICE to the people of
America whose SACRED RIGHT to VOTE was STOLEN!”
I was
there and I was damn proud to be!\n\nIt was a historic moment and we sent a
message. A message that would have never been sent if we would have been the
nice little pansies that the left laugh at! [. . . .]
So, as of June 9, 2023, Davis finds himself in a serious legal jam; and still no evidence that the election he believed was stolen has been found.
Trump supporter, he believed the election was stolen.

1056. WILLIAM WILKERSON: There are all kinds of ways to get arrested for being part of the January 6 riot. In June 2023, Mr. Wilkerson is pinched after security footage at a junkyard catches him selling metal scrap.
One clue leads to a second, a second to a third, and an old Facebook post is unearthed. Allegedly, the defendant posted soon after the riot: “Real patriots did infiltrate the capitol. I watched it happen. The media is all lies unless they were there.”
The poor dope was only inside for five minutes – or so it appears – and he faced federal charges.
His punishment: two years on probation, $500 and 50 hours of community service.

*
1057. Adam Obest: Obest was working for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, when he decided to take a day off to go riot. Among other charges, he was accused of assaulting an officer. Prosecutors noted that the defendant raised a flagpole “above his head and brought the end of it down abruptly into the line of officers.”
The Statement of Facts in his case continues: “Obest then engaged directly with the MPD Officer and attempted to take the officer’s baton out of their hands before eventually retreating into the crowd.”
He was charged with multiple crimes, include a felony for assault; and we learned he also attended the “Million MAGA March” for Trump in November 2020, after Donald got smoked in the election.
Mr. Obest also has an American flag tattoo on his left shoulder.
These cases do take time; and it is not until August 2024, that Mr. Obest is convicted on the felony charge of assault.

Winning at poker, losing with the drumming.
1058. Karthik Ramakrishnan: The defendant entered the Capitol at 2:20 p.m. on the day of the riot. He was seen banging a small drum. At first, he was wearing a surgical mask, but later removed it – got photographed and videotaped – and (partly because it was so easy to follow his moments, because he kept pounding his drum – he soon found himself under arrest.
Moral of the story: Don’t come to a riot carrying a small drum – and wearing a cranberry colored backpack.
He was turned in by a “business associate,” and faced two misdemeanor charges. The 45-year-old from Bluefield, Virginia copped to one and awaits sentencing.
A little post-sentencing digging reveals to this blogger, that Karthik is actually, Dr. Karthik Ramakrishnan, a specialist in internal medicine. He’s also a poker adept, having won $440,000 at gambling tournaments, and was proud of his part in the attack. He sent videos and pictures of his trip to D.C. to others, but held back some because “they could get him in trouble,” as he explained.
He did get in trouble; and now he’ll likely spend at least a few days in a cell. He was inside the Capitol for about half-an-hour.

1059. NICHOLAS VON KEUDELL: Mr. Keudell was finally arrested in June 2023 and charged with joining in the “wild” fun on Capitol Hill. Mr. Keudell was there, with his Aunt Kimberly (#896), and mom, Trudy Castle (#897 on our list). Both have been convicted, but avoided jail time.
Photographic and video evidence placed Keudell inside the building, starting around 2:24 p.m. – one of the early arrivals – but exiting nine minutes, through a broken window. Nicholas, his mother, and aunt then lingered on Capitol Hill grounds for over an hour, before trying to reenter the Capitol. Police turned them away.
His defense was not enhanced by the fact that, during a plea agreement last August, both mom and aunt admitted he entered the building with them. Mom had deleted all pictures she took that infamous day from her phone, but the F.B.I. retrieved them, much to her chagrin.
Mom’s boy got two years on probation – and a fine of $500.

1060. DEVIN McNULTY: It’s a long way from Loudon, Tennessee to Washington D.C., but according to the feds McNulty, a mixed-martial arts fighter, made the journey. After police blocked access to the Capitol, McNulty and like-minded members of the mob did what any group of “tourists” would do, and attacked their line.
McNulty stood in front of the line of officers
and violently pushed against one officer’s riot shield multiple times over the
course of several seconds. The officer, a member of the Prince George’s County
Police Department, was interviewed about the incident after January 6. The
officer claimed to distinctly remember the interaction with McNulty as
aggressive and persistent. The officer explained that McNulty tried to gain
control of their shields and that the officers had to exert increasingly more
effort to counter McNulty’s force.
It appears that at some point, police also gave McNulty a shot of chemical spray to the face. So that had to be fun.
Soon after participating in the mayhem, McNulty realized that he might be in legal jeopardy. According to prosecutors, he began searching for information online:
On
January 11, 2021, three searches were conducted for “devin mcnulty”. On January
13, 2021, searches were conducted for “What we know about the people arrested
after the Capitol riots”, “how to delete gmail instead of trash”, “how to mass
delete gmail emails”, and “Eric Gavelek Munchel”. Munchel was present at the
Capitol January 6, 2021, and was arrested on January 10, 2021. On January 21,
2021, a search was conducted for “devin mcnulty.”
In other words, McNulty knew he might be arrested – and he was – and on February 2, 2024, he finally pled guilty to a single felony charge. Attacking police will cost him a year and a day in jail, two more on probation, and $2,000.

1061-1062. JIMMY DUONG and JULIE MILLER: The latest pair of arrestees entered the Senate Parliamentarian’s office, which was thoroughly trashed by the “patriots” on January 6.
Julie sat at the Parliamentarian’s desk and Jimmy snapped her picture. A good time was had by all.
In November 2023, Jimmy pleads guilty to one misdemeanor, basically, to being a dope. Julie soon joined him on our list of the convicted. Mr. Duong gets probation, community service, and a $500 bill.
Julie gets pretty much the same.

1063. Alan Michael St. Onge: The gentleman from North Carolina is accused of being one of the first rioters on January 6, 2021, to breach police lines – around 1:55 p.m. He faces various charges, including a felony for civil disorder.
(POLITICAL AFFILIATIONS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME.)
*
Shit in the sink.
1064. ZACHARIAH BOULTON: The quest for “fame” brought many of the J6 rioters down. Namely: their insatiable desire to post pictures and videos of their actions. On TikTok, @greeneyedveteran posted videos in which he admitted traveling (from Georgia) to D.C. and busting into the Capitol with a few thousand pals. A tip, just three days later, led the feds to start tracking down Mr. Boulton.
In one pre-attack video post, Boulton vented:
the tree of liberty from time to time needs to be watered with the blood of patriots and tyrants. Don’t come at me, oh, you lowered yourself by going into that Capitol building. Fuck that. We need to send them a message now that they will understand . . . we will not stand by and shits gonna get real. If you’re not ready for that, go hide.
It didn’t help his chances in court to know his own wife, Susie, acknowledged on Facebook that her husband got inside.
A few days after the attack, Boulton reported watching other so-called patriots “shit in the sink” inside the Capitol. Like the apologists say: just a bunch of ordinary tourists visiting the halls of Congress to see how the government works, and take dumps in bathroom sinks instead of the toilets.
During his “tour,” the suspect also got sprayed with mace or some other kind of chemical irritant.
Boulton was discharged from the U.S. Army in 2019. So, “Thank you for your service,” but Trump didn’t win in 2020. And when he suggested in a social media post that he was ready for a “civil war,” what he was really ready for was shedding blood in service to one of the Great American Lies.
In February 2024, the veteran gets two years on
probation,
and an order to cough up $1,000 in fines and restitution.
FUN FACT: According to the Atlanta Constitution Journal, Boulton has been in legal trouble before. In 2005, for example, he set fire to another camper’s tent at an Alaska campground, after a disagreement. It also turns out: He received a less-than-honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in 2019.

1065-1067. Kenneth, Caleb and Nicholas Fuller: No doubt, Father’s Day was a bummer this year at the Fuller house. Dad Kenneth was arrested the Friday before, and son, Caleb, and Uncle Nick, were arrested last week. All three have been charged with rioting to keep Fat Donald Trump in office – even though he lost the 2020 election.
Badly.
According to court records,
the defendants were captured on numerous law enforcement body-worn camera
footage; specifically, those officers working on the exterior west plaza of the
Capitol during the riot. Court documents state that all three defendants can be
seen consistently in front of police lines at various locations along the west
plaza between approximately 3:30 pm and 4:50 pm resisting police officer
movement and activity.
In one body-worn camera video,
law enforcement officers can be heard repeatedly instructing the crowd in front
of them to get back. In response, Kenneth Fuller turned to the crowd behind him
and allegedly yelled “Hey guys, they’re getting ready to push! They’re getting
ready to push guys!” The police line then moved forward, using their shields to
move the crowd down the stairs. Another body-worn camera video captured a
different angle of this event that shows Kenneth Fuller turning and bracing his
back and right arm against the police shields as the officers attempt to move
Kenneth Fuller and the crowd down the stairs.
Court records state that
body-worn camera footage shows that Kenneth Fuller, Nicholas Fuller, and Caleb
Fuller began to descend the lower West Plaza steps at approximately 4:24 pm
before walking back up the stairs towards the police line, where Kenneth and
Nicholas Fuller allegedly took up a position directly in front of the police
line.
Court documents state that
after returning to the police line, Nicholas Fuller and Caleb Fuller can be
seen on body-worn camera footage allegedly pushing against police lines and
pushing others to prevent the forward movement of the officers.
All three Fuller men face two charges (each), one a misdemeanor, a second, a felony, for obstruction of law enforcement officers.
So far, only Nicholas Fuller has pleaded guilty.

1068. RICHARD ACKERMAN: The latest addition to our list of January 6 rioters is pretty much the opposite of an “Antifa” member.
Nor was he a “tourist” visiting the Capitol that day, someone “hugging and kissing” police to show them the love. In a conversation introduced in the Statement of Facts in his case, “A. Jen” (Aunt Jen) asks what role he played in the attack, and Ackerman answers in incriminating fashion.
“I got tear gassed & had to carry this girl out of the gassing zone,” he says in response to one query.
“Don’t get arrested, you won’t be able to be a Marine… Go home, it’s not worth it!” says Aunt Jen.
Ackerman responds, “Yes, I’m in the car… I got maced really bad … It got really fucking crazy. Call me. I was right there in the eye of it … I stole a SWAT Team officers helmet.”
“Not smart Zach,” Aunt Jen replies.
“It’s a war trophy,” he says.
Evidence also showed that Ackerman was a member of a neo-Nazi group, after he posted a picture of the stolen helmet with a “New England 131” sticker affixed. According to court documents, the agent in charge of his arrest explained:
I know
that New England 131 refers to the “Nationalist Socialist Club 131” (“NSC-131”
for short) and the “White Defense Force.” The 131 is a reference to the
alphabet letters “A C A” which stands for “Anti-Communist Action.” The group
had previously been known as the “New England Nationalist Club” and the “New
England National Conservative Society Club.” According to open-source media
searches, NSC-131 is a neo-Nazi group with small, autonomous regional chapters
in the United States and abroad, whose members see themselves as soldiers at
war with a hostile, Jewish-controlled system that is deliberately plotting the
extinction of the white race.
In the immediate aftermath of the riot, Ackerman just couldn’t help bragging. To one friend, he sent a picture of himself, wearing the police helmet and flipping the bird. In addition,
Ackerman
wrote: “I was there yesterday… & the helmet is my war trophy from the SWAT
team.” In addition, on January 7, 2021, Ackerman sent a message to someone
identified as “Aylssa”: “Here’s the helmet I stole... I’ll call you in the next
day or two. [attachment].” On the same date, Ackerman sent the following
message to someone identified as “Rae”: I was at DC today... I was right in the
doorway to the building... I stole an officer's helmet. [attachment].” In
another conversation on January 7, 2021, with someone identified as “Aunt Jen,”
Ackerman stated: “I stormed the capital, & I grabbed a helmet off of the
SWAT team. [attachment]” and “I ripped a chair out of the office & circled
it around... it ended up getting thrown at the police.”
When the F.B.I. finally got around to raiding the Ackerman home (where he lived with his father), they found the helmet hidden inside the flue of a downstairs fireplace. He was charged with four crimes; and in April 2024, he pled guilty to a felony and awaited his reward.
In August 2024, he found out. The judge in his case, perhaps taking into account his youth (he’s now only 22), credited him with time served, and he was not ordered to spend any more time behind bars – but was placed on home detention for ten months. Ackerman will also enjoy meeting with his new probation officer for the next two years, and he was fined $2,000.
Right-winger, violent.

1069. CAMERON CAMPANELLA II: According to an NPR website, Mr. Campanella was interviewed by the F.B.I. about his involvement in the riot in July of 2022. He declined to talk about the events of that day, but said he was “not scared” and he thought investigating the riot was “a waste of time.”
According to the Statement of Facts in his case, the defendant may have lingered inside the Capitol for only a minute.
It was just long enough to get a couple of pictures on his phone – and enough to get him charged with two misdemeanors.
He eventually pleaded guilty to one, and earned a year on probation and a fine of $500.
(POLITICAL AFFILIATION UNKNOWN.)

“Stop the Steal” Facebook page.
1070-1071. STEVEN MICHAEL DRAGOO and KIMBERLY RAE DRAGOO: The husband and wife team from St. Joseph, Missouri made it to D.C. just in time to join the mob that stormed the Capitol. Evidence showed Mrs. Dragoo entering through a broken window – which she later told F.B.I. agents struck her as “funny.” Court documents also note that the missus appeared in a news article about the riot from New Press Now, in which she was quoted as saying: “Where I was everybody was happy ... I didn’t see anything I saw on the news.”
The couple was interviewed just two weeks after the riot, admitted they had been inside, but were not charged until more than two years later. Kimberly even started her own “Stop the Steal” page on Facebook.
Oddly enough, in another video, she filmed herself, she can be heard describing the scene in much less peaceful terms:
“They
stormed the Capitol … We got stuck in the crowd for like an hour … I’m not
getting back in it again.” In addition, Kimberly Dragoo stated, “They stormed
the Capitol a while ago. I called my sister and my son. He said that they are
not sharing it, but anyway, there were some guys who walked by that got maced.
I think they are getting ready . . . I’ve seen another crowd go up there –
getting ready to do it again.”
According to court documents:
During
the video, flash bang diversionary devices can be heard going off in the
background as Kimberly Dragoo asked, “What is that?” An individual I believe,
based on my knowledge of his appearance and voice, to be Steven Dragoo replied,
“I think they must just be smoke canisters.” Loud emergency vehicle sirens can
be heard in the video, police vehicles are seen arriving at the Capitol, and
gray smoke is visibly rising from the area. From a different location within
the then-closed grounds of the Capitol, Kimberly Dragoo reported – and I have
confirmed by watching the video – that she also filmed a large contingent of
Metropolitan Police Officers from a close distance as the officers arrived in
riot gear and walked toward the Capitol Building, ignoring taunts and objects
thrown from the crowd.
Steven was so proud of his wife, and willingness to riot, that he couldn’t resist taking her picture that infamous day.
In other pictures, also taken by Steven, his wife seems to really be enjoying her time:
The happy husband and wife faced two federal counts, each. As of August 12, 2023, the two have agreed to plead guilty to one misdemeanor.
Each.
UPDATE: In April 2024, prosecutors ask for Mrs. Dragoo to be sentenced to 21 days. They note that even after she was charged, and local news reported that fact, Kim decided to respond by saying “no charges have been filed!!!” One might suspect, should she be canned, that she will tell other prisoners, “I’m not in this jail.”
UPDATE #2: Now we’ll find out. On April 19, we learn – and she learns – that she will be spending the next three years on probation, and the next two weeks in the slammer. Mr. Dragoo will not have the chance to study the prison system from within, but will spend three years on probation – and can the pair both have the same probation officer, to give them a break.
Mr. Dragoo, however, is hit with a bill for $5,500 in fines and restitution.

1073. MARK NEALY: Nealy, 52, was finally arrested and charged on June 13, 2023. He admitted he entered the Capitol on January 6, and remained for a grand total of thirteen minutes – including, he said, a bathroom stop. He was hit with a pair of misdemeanor charges, pled guilty to one, and by Christmas, his fate had been decided. Fourteen days in the hoosegow, and a$500 fine.
(POLITICAL AFFILIATION NOT YET KNOWN.)
*
1074. Andrew Michael Yavoich: You can’t be sure about the political affiliations of all the rioters; but let’s just say there were a lot of red MAGA hats in evidence that day. Yavoich, for example, wore one.
A search
warrant on the iCloud account ayavoich@yahoo.com, revealed text message
conversations between YAVOICH and at least one individual on January 06, 2021.
This individual asked YAVOICH to be safe and whether he would see YAVOICH on
CNN of which YAVOICH responded with “maybe”. YAVOICH later texted this same
individual saying he (YAVOICH) was back at his hotel. On January 07, 2021,
another individual texted YAVOICH to make sure YAVOICH was safe. YAVOICH
responded that he was in his hotel and that DC was on lockdown.
He was inside the Capitol for sixteen minutes, appears to have done no serious harm, faced two misdemeanor charges, and plead guilty to one.

1075. Tristan Seth Broadrick: On the day of the riot, young Mr. Broadrick posed proudly, inside the Capitol, with other members of the misguided mob. “WE THE PEOPLE TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY,” read a sign one other person held.
The defendant has admitted he was in D.C. on January 6, that he was there to hear Donald Trump speak, and that he did enter the building. He was in and out of the building after ten minutes.
But it was so much fun, helping others try to overturn the results of a fair election, that he entered a second time. He even notified friends on social media, on the day of the attack that he would be “going live” and chronicling events.
Trump supporter.
*
1076. DANIEL BIBONGE AMSINI: The latest rioter to make our list, Mr. Amsini was seen that terrible day, putting government property – that is an “escape hood” – which lawmakers might have needed in case of a gas attack – into a black string bag he was carrying.
Amsini was also spotted at multiple locations, inside the Capitol, and in part his movements were easy to trace because he’s of the Negro race. For anyone who has looked at the rioters that day, you know it was an overwhelmingly white group.
Anyway, the escape hood was reportedly worth $249. This helps the defendant get hit with three federal charges.
In the end, his actions cost him 45 days in the hoosgow, a year on probation and fines and restitution totaling $749.
On the idiotic “American Gulag” website, the poor dope is listed. So, you figure he’s a Trump fan.

“Best party I ever attended,”
1077-1078. Kevin Clardy and THOMAS “COREY” RIDDLE: Clardy and Riddle look like the vast majority of January 6 arrestees. They’re white, and a little scruffy. White is fine. Scruffy is okay. Rioting to overturn a presidential election?
Not so much.
Phone records appear to place the two men inside the Capitol on January 6. Allegedly, in one message he sent that day, Riddle described events as “wild as hell,” and “crazy,” and said he was trying to avoid arrest.
“Best party I ever attended,” he added.
The two men are accused of a variety of crimes, including helping break down a door to an office in Congress. (That door cost $9,860 to repair) Both men are said to have admitted, in interviews with the F.B.I., that they illegally entered the building, and that they helped break down the door.
Good for three federal charges, each.
In September 2023, Clardy pleads guilty to one charge and now awaits sentencing.
In December, Riddle’s case is closed when a judge decides to give him 60 days in the cooler, 365 days on probation, and dock him $500.

A “100-man-strong fighting force.”
1079. GILBERT FONTICOBA: I either missed Mr. Fonticoba’s indictment, or it was kept under wraps for some reason. He was indicted in October 2021 and hit with six charges, both felonies and misdemeanors.
NPR notes that on his LinkedIn page, the Florida man has talked about attending Trump rallies, and identifies himself as a member of the Proud Boys. He also notes that he is the “father of two.”
Fonticoba showed up on January 6, wearing a sweatshirt emblazoned with the words: “ENRIQUE TARRIO DID NOTHING WRONG!”
The Miami New Times has a good story on the Proud Boys – and you even get a shot of Roger Stone posing with members of the group. Ten “Boys” in that picture are flashing the “White Power” sign, whereas Stone is doing his Richard Nixon imitation.
Among other views, the Proud Boys are anti-porn, and frown upon masturbation. As for Gilbert, he believes in the QAnon brand.
UPDATE: On September 18, 2023, Fonticoba agrees to a “stipulated trial” related to two federal charges.
That’s the equivalent of a guilty plea, and in January 2024, a judge lowers the boom. Mr. Fonticoba will be spending four years behind bars, and won’t have the chance to vote for Donald Trump this coming November.
Interestingly enough, the judge in his case notes that Fonticoba was part of a “100-man-strong fighting force that circled the Capitol” on Jan. 6.

1080. Keith Brown: Mr. Brown has appeared out of nowhere on this list. On June 23, his name pops up, and he appears prepared to plead guilty to one misdemeanor charge related to his actions during the Capitol Hill attack.
In
fact, according to NPR, he has done so. He was inside the building for only 19
minutes.
(NOT MUCH INFORMATION AVAILABLE.)

Another Proud Boy!
1081. Matthew Schmitz: Like any other good “tourist” visiting Congress, on January 6, young Schmitz came wearing goggles and a protective helmet. He also had an American flag wrapped round his neck.
He was inside the building only briefly and left – via a window – after police hit rioters with tear gas.
He
was allegedly identified with the help of another rioter, and now faces
misdemeanor charges.
UPDATE (September 30, 2024): Let me check a little more. Originally, I had the defendant listed as “Political affiliation unknown.” Maybe I missed something in his story. Could he be a leftist? A proud member of Antifa?
Hell, a podiatrist???
Nope. Another Proud Boy. Okay, then, was poor Proud Boy Schmitz tricked into rioting by F.B.I. plants in the mob? Like diabolical Ray Epps!!! Um...no. Schmitz was part of an encrypted message group that discussed whether or not they could bring body armor on planes, as they headed for D.C. Also, could they carry knives in the District of Columbia? It was also agreed: Hey, we don’t wear Proud Boy colors – because we don’t want to be identified.
The blogger thinks they should have worn clown disguises.
Anyway, on the morning of the riot, as per instructions, Schimtz met up with a group of about 100 Boys, at the Washington Monument, and then they all marched down to the Capitol and started rioting. Schmitz was inside the Capitol Building by 2:14 p.m., as part of the first wave.
You may recall MAGA apologists insisting the rioters were “let in” by friendly law enforcement types. Trump said the rioters were “hugging and kissing” every officer they could find. It was a smooch fest!!! As for Mr. Schmitz, at 2:15 p.m., he and others were hit with a cloud of tear gas (below) – and he exited moments later, through a broken window. He has now agreed to plead guilty.
Trump supporter, right-wing type.
*
1082. CHRISTINA TRAUGH: Traugh has legally changed her name since the riot. When federal authorities issued a search warrant for another rioter, they discovered pictures and messages that placed Traugh (at the time of the riot known as “Christina Austin”) inside the Capitol. Asked by “Individual 2,” if she had been inside, Austin replied: “Yep. I was inside…. 2nd wave of patriots in. They pepper sprayed us but when we got in it was still only Capitol police trying to get [us?] out.
On the day after the riot, Austin tried to claim it wasn’t Trump supporters who breached the Capitol.
(Although it was definitely her.)
She joined the riot with at least three other friends, Christy Clark (#802), Matthew Clark (#803), and Paul Spigelmyer (#804).
All three of her Trump-loving pals have been convicted and sentenced. She agrees to plead guilty on July 17, 2023, herself.
In October, she is sentenced: 45 days of home detention, 18 months on probation, and a bill for $500.
Trump supporter.
(CLAIMED TO SEE ANTIFA.)
*
1083. William Glynn Keen:
Keen showed up for the riot, wearing a black leather jacket, with
the words “PARROT MEDIA” taped front and back. Interviewed soon after by F.B.I.
agents, Keen admitted he had no real affiliation with any news organization.
Dare we say it then? Keen was “fake news?”
Keen had essentially exposed himself (no, not that way) by
contacting a local TV station in Louisville, to offer his story of how he
helped storm the Capitol.
As for the idea that police let the rioters waltz in, during an interview with authorities, the defendant admitted filming both outside and inside the building that day. In the Statement of Facts in his case, we read:
In the
area of the scaffolding, KEEN stated that he observed some violence, such as
police officers deploying tear gas and an officer being assaulted by three
individuals. KEEN entered the U.S. Capitol building through a temporary door located
within the scaffolding.
KEEN
claimed the door did not appear to be breached. KEEN travelled around the U.S.
Capitol building with several different groups. KEEN described his recollection
of events inside the U.S. Capitol building which included recording a shooting
incident.
That was the shooting of Ashli Babbitt.
Keen was also one of the first rioters to enter, sometime before 2:17 p.m. that day. He appears to have remained inside, often filming events, for forty minutes. We can also follow Keen’s movements more easily, due to the absence of the regulation red MAGA hat, or the equally popular tactical helmets so many members of the crowd were rocking that awful day. That is: Keen’s bald head sticks out like a giant egg with a fringe of hair glued to the sides.
And his actions net him a pair of charges.
He has since plead guilty to one.

1084. Nicholas L. Kennedy: It would seem that Kennedy’s story has been kept under wraps. He faces six charges for his actions on January 6. The gentleman from Sikeston, Missouri was first indicted in July 2021. According to more recent reports he was hit with a superseding indictment in October 2022.
In any case, he faces a charge of civil disorder, which can carry a sentence of as much as five years in prison.
UPDATE: These cases take time; but in April 2024, we know Kennedy pleads guilty to a pair of felony charges, and gets hit with a third in a stipulated bench trial. He was part of a group of roughly a hundred Proud Boys that marched on the Capitol that day. Antifa?
Nope.
Right-winger.

“I
am a very smart guy.”
1085. Jay Matthew Kenyon:
It can be hard to determine the motivation of some of these rioters. Yet, where
their motivations are known – usually in their own words – we keep looking in
vain for left-wing types.
In the wake of the riot, Kenyon posted on social media:
“We were let in by Capitol
Police and then they attacked. No patriot broke one damn thing inside the
Capitol on purpose. Capitol police attacking caused any damage.”
In a Facebook post described
in the court documents from Dec. 20, 2020, Kenyon wrote: “ ‘Trump: January 6,
2021 Washington DC Be There, Will be Wild’ Be part of the revolution. It’s
gonna be fun!”
The next day, he posted again:
“DAMN right if you think Im going FULL ON PATRIOT! I AM RADICALIZED!!”
After the riot, Kenyon defended his own actions. “I knew what I was doing,” he said. “I am a
very smart guy so you can go ahead and stop saying it was a bunch of stupid
country folk.” He admits he was fighting with a cop at one point, but when he
pulled up the cop’s gas mask, the cop said he didn’t want to be there. “We both
had a moment where we stopped fighting and just rested on each other.”
He told others on Facebook to
“delete” him if they didn’t agree with what he had done. “I’m just getting
started. No fear. I am all in. 110. I welcome the FBI to my house. I don’t
answer questions. I risk everything or my kids have nothing.”
In fact, Kenyon showed up,
ready for action, wearing what appears to be body armor. For headgear he went
with a Yankees ball cap, which helped cover his long white hair.
It’s also worth noting, that
at one point the Capitol Police clearly weren’t “hugging and kissing” the
rioters, as President Trump later claimed. Court documents note:
At
approximately 2:48 p.m., Kenyon and other rioters entered a House
Appropriations Committee office on the third floor, near the House Gallery.
Several minutes later, Capitol Police officers on the third floor drew their
firearms and began directing rioters in the corridors surrounding the House
Gallery to lay prone on the ground with their arms and legs spread. Members of
a Capitol Police tactical unit, the Containment Emergency Response Team
(“CERT”), entered the Appropriations office that Kenyon and other rioters had
entered. There, the officers held rioters under supervision while Members of
the House of Representatives were evacuated from the House Gallery. Kenyon was
escorted from the Third Floor by Capitol Police at approximately 3:00 p.m.
Kenyon still refused to take a
hint. He managed to blend in with the crowd in the Capitol Rotunda soon after.
When police tried to push the rioters into a tight pack, Kenyon began fighting
– and was pulled from the group. While seated by himself on the floor, Kenyon compounded
his legal jeopardy:
U.S
Capitol Police Officer N.S. participated in this interaction and was
interviewed. Officer N.S. reported that an individual was dragged from the
crowd by police after that individual brandished a foldable pocketknife.
Officer N.S. recalled the individual swinging the knife and perceived that the
individual was trying to attack officers. Officer N.S. disarmed the individual
and the individual was subsequently pulled from the crowd by MPD officers.
Officer N.S. handed the knife off to an unknown officer. Officer N.S. did not
see the individual pulled from the crowd again after disarming him.
A search warrant later led to the revelation that Kenyon was planning to be part of the fight long before the day of the insurrection.
On
August 17, 2021, a search warrant was served upon Facebook for Kenyon’s
Facebook account. Your affiant discovered posts indicating that Kenyon planned
to go to the Capitol on January 6, 2021, to impede and disrupt Government
proceedings. In a post dated November 15, 2020, Kenyon stated “I will fight. We
are ready. I’m not the only one who been hitting the gym for months now….That
was purposeful and definitely less about my overall physical health.” In a post
dated December 19, 2020, Kenyon stated “Bring you plate carriers …”. A screen
capture from a Facebook live video of Kenyon inside the Capitol on January 6,
2021, reveals Kenyon wearing what appears to be a plate carrier vest. In posts
dated December 19, 2020 and again on December 29, 2020, Kenyon used the hashtag
“#StopTheSteal”.
Kenyon’s battles in court drag
out until October 1, 2024, when he is convicted on a battery of five charges.
He’s looking at a lengthy stay in prison, barring a pardon from Donald Trump – should
he be re-elected.
Trump supporter, believed the election was stolen, violent.
*
1086. GARY WILSON: According to the Statement of Facts in his case, Mr. Wilson wore a T-shirt from the far-right conspiratorial news site Infowars, depicting a Revolutionary War soldier with an automatic weapon, while participating in the riot. As NPR notes, Wilson was in close proximity to multiple violent clashes but was not himself accused of any violence himself.
During one confrontation with police, Wilson told officers, “We came all the way from our jobs to do your job and the freaking senators’ job.”
This would be true, if the senators had wanted to overturn the results of a fairly decided election.
(Tommy
Tuberville and Ted Cruz kind of did.)
Wilson also teamed up with Brady Knowlton (#480) and Patrick Montgomery (#481) on our list.
He’s just caught later.
But he’s convicted the same day as his pals – they hit with felony charges – he with a single misdemeanor, theft of government property. In the end, it costs him 30 days in the slammer, $500, and he will spend a year on probation.
Trump supporter.
*
1087. Trevor Cain: The blogger’s home state has furnished a good number of the rioters from January 6, 2021. Ohio also voted, by eight percentage points for Trump over Clinton, and again over Biden in 2020.
(Sound of blogger vomiting.)
Now we have Mr. Cain representing the “Buckeye State.” According to documents in his case, he traveled to D.C. from Cleveland, as part of a seven-bus caravan, organized by a group called Free Ohio Now.
(That group opposed COVID-19 mandates.)
In an interview with the F.B.I. in February 2021, Cain said he came to D.C. on January 6 to register his dissent, regarding the 2020 election. He admitted entering the Capitol, even after hearing police flash bang devices exploding. In May 2022, he was interviewed a second time. He admitted seeing people punching doors and windows, but said he stayed in areas anyone was allowed to tour. Cain also provided access to his phone. Agents were able to view several videos he made that day.
In one, he can be heard in the Capitol Rotunda, saying, “Yeah, we had to break a door and a window to get back in here. Hey, but it’s our house so it’s ok anyways.”
In another video, Cain can be heard saying, “This is what we fought for, 1776… This is what 1776 was all about… This is our house… Welcome to history, ladies and gentlemen, January 6th, 2021, when we took our country back. When we said no more to the career politicians. No more to these commies. Not on my watch. Not on anybody’s watch who’s a patriot.”
He remained inside for half an hour. At one point it is said he approached police in riot gear and said, “Hey! Guess who’s not trespassing?”
Later, in an interview captured on video, Cain explains that “history was in the air” that day. “And before you know it, we’re storming like the… beaches of Normandy, the Capitol, take it back, because it’s not some dumb phrase. This is our house.”
Clearly, Cain wasn’t going to have much of a defense in court. He was facing one felony and four misdemeanor charges.
Also, his knowledge of history seemed thin. He was talking about 1776, when Americans decided to shoot Redcoats – not other Americans. He was talking about D-Day, when the enemy was Nazis.
No troops stormed the shores of Normandy to kill Americans – or guaranteed FDR would serve a fourth term even if he lost the popular vote.
Which Trump did.
He has since pleaded guilty to a single charge. We might also note that he told authorities he didn’t believe Biden was fairly elected. As part of his plea agreement, Mr. Cain has agreed to cooperate in further investigations.
Trump supporter, he believed the election was stolen.

Not a “tourist,” not “let in by police,” not “hugging and kissing.”
1088. NATHAN BAER: Mr. Baer was quickly identified after the attack on January 6, having joined the pitched battle in front of a tunnel entrance into the Capitol Building. It was here that Officer Fanone was dragged into the mob and came to fear for his life. In fact, fourteen different individuals contacted authorities, and tried to identify a man who looked like Baer in photos from that day.
One tipster wrongly suggested that the long-haired person in the mob “looks suspiciously like my ex-husband.”
A second tipster mistakenly identified the attacker as a plumber he used to work with, who was at that time living in California.
Then, jackpot! According to court documents,
On March
25, 2022, a telephonic interview was conducted with [a different tipster] who
identified NATHAN BAER … This tipster attended college with BAER at the Jacobs
School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana, and believed that BAER then moved to
New York City. Although this tipster had not spoken with BAER since college,
the tipster was aware of BAER’s YouTube channel, “The American Patriot.”
A search of video and other witness tips helped the F.B.I. home in on Suspect Baer. He was soon seen to be deeply involved in the fight at the tunnel mouth, as described in the charging document against him.
At
approximately 2:56:39 pm, there was a rush of rioters into the tunnel. At
approximately 2:57:00 pm, the rioters, engaged in another heave-ho effort,
their bodies moving in unison forward and back, pushing against the police
line.
At
approximately 2:57:11 pm, BAER entered the tunnel, but did not make it far,
because law enforcement sprayed OC spray toward the rioters, causing many
rioters to turn around and exit the tunnel. BAER remained at the mouth of the
tunnel, with the capability to leave the premises. Despite this, he re-entered
the tunnel at approximately 3:02:04 pm.
At
approximately 3:03:43, the rioters in the tunnel initiated another heave-ho
effort, their bodies moving in unison back and forth to apply force against the
police line ahead. BAER participated in this effort, pushing his body against
the rioters in front of him with so much force that he had to brace himself by
putting his hand on the tunnel wall.
Many rioters had retreated after being sprayed; but Baer moved to the front soon after.
At approximately 3:07:15, BAER handed a police shield up to the rioters closest to the police line, who were using the shields both defensively and offensively against the police. Approximately 30 seconds later, at 3:07:41, BAER handed up another police shield.
Baer (green circle) with shield (blue square.) |
At
approximately 3:08:28 pm, BAER participated in another heave-ho effort, pushing
his body against the rioters in front of him in unison with them, with the aim
of overcoming the police line ahead of them. This effort was short-lived,
lasting only around 30 seconds. BAER exited the tunnel around 3:11:28 pm,
staying at the mouth of the tunnel. About 30 seconds later, at approximately
3:11:58 pm, another heave-ho effort began in front of BAER, and he walked back
into the tunnel to join the effort, pushing forcefully on the rioters in front
of him, and participating in the back and forth movement. The rioters together
were yelling “Heave! Ho!” as they moved back and forth to overcome the police,
which was captured in Farina’s footage.
At
approximately 3:14:15 pm, BAER handed up another police shield to the rioters
in front of him.
BAER
then continued to force his way toward the police line. Farina’s video captured
BAER almost at the front of the line of rioters, very close to the doors to the
Capitol building.
At
approximately 3:18:00, the police line began to advance, in an effort to push
the rioters from the tunnel. BAER was at the very front of the police line as
they pushed the rioters out. The police were physically pushing the rioters out
of the tunnel; the rioters, including BAER, were resisting the police line’s
effort, as captured in Image 13.
Although
the police were able to clear the tunnel during this push forward, it was at
this point that another rioter abducted MPD Officer [Michael] Fanone, pulling
him out of the tunnel and into the mob. BAER exited the tunnel at approximately
3:19:02 pm, and was right next to Officer Fanone, as he was being assaulted by
rioters, as depicted in Image 2. BAER remained outside the tunnel until at least
3:22:26 pm. He had multiple opportunities to leave Capitol grounds, but
nevertheless stayed to obstruct the police.
As a result of his actions, Baer was finally arrested in June 2023, and hit with felony charges.
The ideas, floated by President Trump and some of his worst enablers, that this was a peaceful protest, are again proven absurd.
In April 2024, Baer pleaded guilty and awaited sentencing – or perhaps a pardon if Trump is reelected.
In September he is sentenced to spend four months in prison, to spend two full years on probation, and to pay $2,000 in restitution.
Trump supporter, violent.

1089. BRANDON LEE BRADSHAW: Mr. Bradshaw could be seen wrestling with at least one police officer, and trying to take his baton on January 6. A neat trick, too, since in his right hand the defendant still held a red bullhorn, and only his left hand was free. Bradshaw later entered the Capitol Building through a broken window.
On his noggin’ he wore a GUNS, GOD, TRUMP hat, and his t-shirt read, “Patriotism Is Not A Crime.”
And why was Bradshaw in D.C. on that fateful day? When F.B.I. agents first interviewed him, he said he traveled to Washington to hear Donald Trump speak. Asked if he had been inside the Capitol, he replied, “I wish to plead the Fifth on that question.” Evidence, however, placed him inside the Capitol for nearly an hour – and showed him being one of the last rioters forced out of the Senate Wing around 3:42 p.m.
Now, his next hat might more read: GUN, GODS, TRUMP, I HAVE BEEN INDICTED AND I’M GOING TO THE SLAMMER.
He pled guilty to one felony, and his stupid belief in the Orange God ends up costing him $1,000 in fines and restitution, as well as 120 days sitting in a federal lockup. After that, he’ll also be on probation.

1090. KYLE KUMER: June has been a bad month for January 6 rioters, with a flurry of new arrests. According to court documents, Kumer joined in the battle in the tunnel, where police blocked the way to massed rioters trying to breach the Capitol Building. Authorities say that Kumer has also admitted bringing his “elderly mother” along, and into the tunnel, so she could “fully experience the moment.”
The moment democracy just missed being shot in the head.
As Kumer approached the tunnel, authorities note, other members of the mob could be heard shouting, “Patriots!” and “Doors are open! Who has body armor?!” You know, regular “tourist” stuff.
Kumer himself was involved in the fight around the tunnel for twenty-five minutes. At least five times, he joined the push of the mob against police defenders, leading to the pinning of one officer to a door, who cried out in pain as he was crushed. Mom was not charged, but her boy was. Kyle faced three charges, including assault.
In the end, he gets ten months in prison, and the court orders the fool to pay $2,000 in restitution. At the time of his arrest, Kumer was a minister at the Northland Church KC. It appears he also lost his job as a result of his conviction. In addition, we should point out that Kumer lied when first talking to authorities – and said he saw no violence that day, and took part in none himself.
Kyle posted later, “I think God was honored by our hearts and actions today.”

1091. MICHAEL ASBURY: Also arrested on June 28, 2023, Asbury, a Knoxville, Tennessee, man, finally finds himself facing justice.
Asbury, like Kumer (above) was involved in the battle for control of the tunnel entrance. Tipped off to his possible presence during the attack, the F.B.I. interviewed the suspect just ten days after the riot. Asbury denied getting within fifteen feet of the building, but did admit he saw “violence towards law enforcement.”
However, Mr. Asbury could be seen in a video taken that day, and titled, “Patriots STORM U.S. Capitol.”
According
to the Statement of Facts in his case, Asbury posted on Facebook about his intentions
and actions in January 2021. In a private message to a friend, Asbury discussed
plans to travel to Washington, D.C. On January 5, he sent a private message to that
same friend, “I’m headed to dc now.”
On
January 6, 2021, at 5:48 pm, [Facebook Friend 1] sent ASBURY the following
message: “Please tell me you’re okay buddy.” ASBURY responded at 7:34 pm, “I’m
good brother. Just got out” and at 7:35 pm, “It was so fucking amazing i cant
describe”.
In
public comments on January 7, 2021, ASBURY wrote [apparently in response to
someone who disapproved of his actions], “I shook hands with the officer who
peppered me. He seemed nice.” “Btw, today wasn’t about you. It was about our
constitution.” “We sent a fucking message today. You should be thanking us”.
According to federal agents, Asbury is seen in videos from that day, “repeatedly engaged in a violent obstructive conduct against multiple law enforcement officers inside the tunnel.” At one point, he helped pass a police shield back to members of the mob surrounding the entrance. At 2:53 p.m., according to court documents, a rioter next to Asbury sprayed police with some kind of chemical agent. “Another rioter directly behind him threw a large object toward the police line. ASBURY assisted in throwing a [second] police shield toward the crowd behind him, away from the police line. … Other rioters followed suit, taking shields away from the police in an effort to disarm them.”
Shortly thereafter, Asbury
appears to pass “a functional stun gun” back to a member of the mob crowded
outside. That individual has been identified as Vitali Gossjankowski (#157 on
our list], who has already been convicted on multiple felony accounts,
including assaulting police. Mr. Gossjankowski originally claimed he picked the
stun gun up from the ground, but new video appears to prove otherwise.
The view at 2:56 p.m. as seen from the body camera of a Capitol Police officer trying to hold back the rioters – Asbury circled in red.
Moments later, police sprayed the mob with chemical spray, and Asbury and others retreated, with Asbury removing the balaclava he wore. The defendant remained in or near the tunnel until 3:41 p.m. that day.
Good enough to get charged with three federal offenses, and, on March 20, 2024, to plead guilty to one.
These cases do drag out; but in August 2024, Asbury gets a reality check: four months in prison, four more on home confinement, twenty on probation, and he owes the federal government $2,000.

1092. Biao Qu: Again, if we are not high on fentanyl, we can remember when Republican lawmakers said the attackers on January 6 were really tourist-y types, and out for a peaceful protest – until they were led on by leftist radicals somehow. Mr. Qu, like Mr. Asbury above, does not fit that model.
At one point that day, he allegedly messaged people he knew, “Bring your guns. Will be useful inside the Capital building.” Qu was said to be an avid Twitter user, with the handle Biao Qu. But in days leading up to the riot, he changed his account name, first to “Fan of Trump,” and then “Trump 2021.” On December 21, he called on his “followers” to “Block the Capitol.”
On Christmas Eve, he called on them again, this time to “surround the Capitol.” That same day, he predicted the “snow will turn red with blood” on January 6. A few days later, he said people should bring not only “bricks,” but “weapons” to D.C. Then he suggested bringing “your gun to Washington to show your firepower.”
Like so many of the men and women arrested so far, Qu’s inclination to take photos and videos (allegedly) inside the Capitol that day makes it unlikely he will be able to avoid conviction. In another message he posted that day, he called on rioters to “Catch Pelosi alive.”
He was interviewed by F.B.I. agents in August 2021, but denied ever going inside the building.
It would appear that he lied.

1093. Jeremy Rodgers: This Michigan rioter (alleged) must have made a lot of friends in his young life, since multiple people who knew him turned him in to the F.B.I. On the day of the attack, he was tastefully attired in a “45” stocking cap – in patriotic red, white, and blue. He also enhanced his attire by carrying a Trump flag (also patriotic color-themed) on a long, heavy flagpole.
He was not picked up until June 30, 2023, having stayed ahead of the law by moving and/or fleeing to Florida. According to Click.Orlando, the Statement of Facts in his case lays out a damning case for felony assault with a deadly weapon that day. Again, this indictment helps answer that famous “question” posed by Trump apologists who, apparently, are all blind. That is: Did police let these “tourist types” in?
Well:
“Video… shows Rodgers using his
flagpole as a weapon, swinging it down onto the officers who were blocking
access to the door,” investigators wrote. “Rodgers struck a USCP officer
(hereinafter identified as “Officer-1,” whose identity is known to the FBI)
three times on his helmet. The strikes are loud enough to be heard in videos
documenting the assault. After a short time passed, Rodgers struck down with
the flagpole twice more in the direction of the officers.”
With the mob having gained entrance, Rodgers headed for the chamber where the House of Representatives meets.
They
said he “pushed forward within feet of the door,” where officers had guns drawn
on the other side.
He
was seen chanting with other rioters, “Stop the steal” and “break it down.”
He
then got into a scuffle with Capitol police, according to the document.
“At
some point during this altercation, another rioter appears to deploy a white
spray, which hits one of the officers,” investigators wrote. “Rodgers walks
away, and moments later, law enforcement deployed smoke, tear gas, or some
other irritant, presumably in an attempt to disperse the rioters.”
According to the F.B.I., the officer who was hit repeatedly in the head explained what happened:
In a
subsequent interview, Officer-1 stated that while he was wearing a helmet, it
was “wobbly,” ill-fitting, and without proper padding, and that he felt every
strike to his head. Officer-1 further stated that he might have received a
concussion from the events of January 6, 2021 and that he suffered from vertigo
and moments of dizziness for around three months following January 6, 2021, but
he did not seek medical treatment. Officer-1 could not attribute this head
injury to a particular moment during the riot.
Later, prosecutors alleged, the defendant used his pole to keep police from closing a door to the Capitol building, allowing rioters to continue to flow inside. It is also alleged that he got as far as the door to the House chamber, where he used his pole to try to break the windows.
“Break it down,” shouted other rioters, while inside, a handful of Secret Security agents blocked the way with furniture and drew their weapons.
Well, no problem, right? Just another tourist group, as one GOP lawmaker later tried to claim.
Jail now looms large in his future, and his career in Michigan politics is likely over. He’s a Republican, of course.

*
1094. Jeffrey Reed: Mr. Reed was quickly identified after the attack on January 6, but prosecutors have had to comb through giant piles of potential evidence and build the best cases possible against suspects.
Reed is finally arrested on June 29, 2023, and made his first appearance in court.
According to the Department of Justice, he faces both misdemeanor and felony charges, in part for his efforts to dismantle barricades protecting the Capitol, and then lead rioters in pushing back police lines.
According to court documents, video footage from Jan. 6, 2021, shows a man, later identified as Reed, taking down multiple barricades and passing through restricted areas secured by U.S. Capitol Police before heading into the U.S. Capitol building. Video footage depicts Reed physically moving the metal barricades in front of the U.S. Capitol Police line, impeding and interfering with law enforcement efforts to maintain a police line and keep rioters from crossing into restricted areas. At one point, a video taken from that day shows Reed yelling at police officers, stating, “you work for us.”
(POLITICAL AFFILIATION YET TO BE DETERMINED.)
*
“We stormed the capital and broke the lines.”
1095. Dustin Martin: A burst of new cases has been filed against rioters to end the month of June 2023.
In a Facebook post, four days before the insurrection, Martin made his purpose clear. He was going to D.C. to attend the Trump rally and to be there for the electoral college vote.
“Trump 2020!” Martin posted – along with a picture of himself inside the Capitol Building on that riotous occasion. In fact, according to prosecutors, he was proud of what he had done, writing on the afternoon of January 6, “I can say I’ve been hit with rubber bullets, bear mace, tear gas, and wrestle with Capital Police fuck yeah America Bitches. I’ll do it all over again too!”
Later, he summed it up in a private message: “We stormed the capital and broke the lines.”
As for his part, he and other rioters helped knock officers holding one line of bike rack barricades “several feet back,” and then helped push through a second line on Capitol Hill steps. By 2:57 p.m., Martin was inside the building, along with his friend Cody Tippett (#1096).
On October 9, 2024, he comes to the fork in his legal road, decides to take the “I plead guilty” road to the left, and awaits sentencing.
Trump supporter,
violent, he believed the
election was stolen.
*
1096. CODY LEE TIPPETT: Ohio’s finest, Mr. Tippett has now been added to our list of January 6 insurrectionists. Tippett was arrested and charged after he appeared in pictures posted by Martin (above).
One clue led to another – first Martin being identified – then Tippett. A search of Martin’s prior criminal record proved fruitful. A warrant was issued for his Facebook account, which he had deactivated three days after the riot.
In the Statement of Facts, related to the charges filed against him, prosecutors explained:
In
several message exchanges between MARTIN and Facebook associates on or around
January 6, 2021, MARTIN stated that he was traveling – with “Cody” – to
Washington D.C. to support President Trump and for the certification of the
electoral college vote. On or about January 1, 2021, MARTIN sent a message to
Facebook friend S.C. which partially stated, “I’m really hoping Pence actually
standby I keep hearing he won’t.” On or about January 2, 2021, MARTIN sent S.C.
an image of the schedule and cost of airline flights to the Washington D.C.
area, and wrote, “Bro me and Cody are going to DC for the Trump rally and
electoral college votes but look if you wanna fly down, we’re driving.” On or
about January 6, 2021, MARTIN sent a Facebook message to Facebook friend K.C.
stating, “Me and Cody are in D.C. what up what up.” When K.C. asked MARTIN why,
MARTIN responded, “The electoral votes and trump lol.”
Martin and Tippett are seen inside the Capitol Building, as early as 2:15 p.m. that day, making them some of the first people to break inside. In one open-source video from that day, another rioter emerges, saying officers had “started shooting at us,” adding, “rubber bullets, it hurts.”
Tippett left the Capitol, via window, at around 2:53 p.m. The two friends continued to join in the battle against police. “A fight ensues,” and at around 3:41 p.m., Martin “is hit directly in the face” by police chemical spray. He will later message a friend, “It was worth getting sprayed it hurt like a bitch I thought I was going to be blind ...”
Well, let’s hope it was “worth” it in the end. Martin, of course, faces multiple charges. Tippett is hit with only one. He gets his dumb ass convicted, first, and then sentenced to 30 days in jail, second. He’ll spend three more years on probation, and owes a $500 fine.

“Officers and rioters engage in hand-to-hand combat.”
1097. Terry L. Allen: Another day, another day without proof the 2020 election was stolen, and another arrest. In Mr. Allen’s case he was charged “shoving and physically assaulting [police] on west plaza by using his wooden flagpole as a lance, driving it into officers in a stabbing motion.”
In fact, Allen was said to have joined the battle against police as early as 1:05 p.m., one of the first rioters to do so.
Other evidence showed Mr. Allen attacking a second police line.
At 1:56
p.m., Allen is visible on BWC [body worn camera] footage near this police line.
As officers and rioters engage in hand-to-hand combat, footage shows Allen move
closer to the police line holding what appears to be a black metallic pole in
one hand and a flagpole in the other. He then holds them together with two
hands and points them toward officers in a posture similar to when he used his
flagpole as a weapon at 1:06 p.m.
And there was no doubt where Mr. Allen stood. He was in D.C. on November 14, for the “Million MAGA March” to protest the fact – I guess – that the Biden forces had seven million more votes. On January 6, he was back again.
A witness who helped identify Allen told federal agents that the suspect had a “stockpile of guns, food and propane.”
In case: Zombies?
He has since been convicted on
multiple charges, both felonies and misdemeanors.
UPDATE: What was in Mr. Allen’s stockpile? Arguing that Allen should remain in jail until sentencing, prosecutors note:
When police searched Allen’s home after arresting him…they found 19 firearms, M-class fireworks, gunpowder, and 10,000-20,000 rounds of ammunition. Included among these firearms was an AR-15 featuring an image of former President Donald Trump in an 18th century military officer’s uniform surrounded by the text, “45th PRESIDENT DONAL J. TRUMP – 1776 REBORN – JANUARY 20, 2017”

1098-1099. Ralph Kahler and Suzanne Kahler: Married couples who share common interests tend to stay married, and the Kahlers can now prove that again. The two now join our list of convicted J6 rioters. Ralph faced four charges, related to his participation in the insurrection.
Suzanne, as well.
Both
pled guilty to one, each.

*
1100. WILLIAM STOVER: Mr. Stover traveled from Kentucky to D.C., to be there in time on January 6, 2021, to riot, and finally be arrested and charged on July 11, 2023.
He and “Witness 1” (see below) were part of the effort to force a way inside the Capitol, as the mob assaulted police in a tunnelway.
Stover was involved in several efforts to push back police lines, and at one point reached over other rioters and tried to grab an officer’s helmet. Other rioters climbed atop police shields, hung from the archway and kicked officers, and threw all kinds of objects. Stover managed to get hold of one police shield, and handed it to another rioter, who then attacked police.
Stover
and “Witness 1,” traveled by car to D.C. to attend the “Stop the Steal” rally;
and
“Witness 1,” who was also charged, says Stover later told him he had fought
alongside the Proud Boys, at the tunnel that day.
Furthermore,
STOVER stated that he had “body slammed” an
officer and hit him. STOVER told Witness 1 the Proud Boys had been impressed
and wanted him to join. Witness 1 provided law enforcement about the location
of STOVER’s residence, including that STOVER lived on a specific highway near a
chain restaurant. Witness 1 was shown two photographs of AFO 235 from January
6, 2021 and identified the man as STOVER.
He has since been sentenced to six months behind bars, and ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution.

1101. Cindy Young: I’m just going to be lazy on this entry and quote NPR:
from
Massachusetts to then-President Trump’s rally in Washington, D.C., federal
court records indicate. Young was interviewed by local news that morning and
said the country was “at a crossroad.” The next day, Young can allegedly be
seen inside the U.S. Capitol on surveillance footage from the building. She was
also interviewed by federal authorities and admitted to entering the building “so
that her voice might be heard,” according to court records.
Ah…but I can’t help myself. I have to keep checking the court documents. I learn, for example, that Cindy spent $75.00 for the bus ride – worth every penny, to make sure her voice was heard. I discover that she wore an “Aztec print” coat and carried a “NO MORE BULLSHIT” Trump flag, while invading the Capitol. The pictures submitted as evidence pretty much make the case against her a slam dunk.
She wasn’t violent – stupid, maybe, for believing Donald Trump’s many “Stolen Election” lies.
Her case ends in August 2024, when a jury finds her guilty on all four misdemeanor counts she faced.
So proud of her flag - Ms. Young. |

Marilyn Hueper and Paul Hueper: We should immediately point out that both Mr. and Mrs. Hueper were wrongly charged with participating in the riot on Capitol Hill soon after it happened. Fortunately, they were soon absolved; but if we want to truly understand the kinds of people who showed up for the riot, we can include them to bolster our main points.
(I stumbled upon their story only recently.)
At one point, Marilyn was mistaken for another rioter – who had stolen Nancy Pelosi’s laptop. They did look alike and dress alike, and think alike, too.
As Huffpost explained:
Like millions of Trump supporters, the Alaska couple believed Trump’s lies about a stolen election
and thought they were part of a “righteous revolution to take back our
country,” as Paul Hueper wrote on Instagram. The duo, according to the FBI, was
also banned from Alaska Airlines for refusing to follow mask regulations on
Feb. 17 [2021].
But in their case, the F.B.I. blew it. The Huepers were innocent. Their only crime was gross ignorance.
Trump lost the election, and the people who rioted on January 6 weren’t part of a “righteous revolution.”
They were fools – at best.
Trump supporters (both).
*
1102. Phillip Marion “Bunky” Crawford: Mr. Crawford headed north from Georgia to answer Trump’s call on January 6. At the riot – where he tried to drag a police officer into the mob – he wore a patriot-colored, hooded sweatshirt emblazoned with the words, “STOP THE STEAL.”
Arrested for his role, he soon faced felony charges – and still no evidence to be found that there was a steal – unless we count Team Trump’s efforts in that direction.
He was turned in to the F.B.I. by “a friend,” after he showed that friend (ex-friend?) pictures of his day at the Capitol.
Other witnesses came forward. One said Crawford had bragged to her about pushing an officer to the ground. Federal authorities began looking for evidence of Crawford’s involvement. In one video, he shouts encouragement to the mob. “Hey! We’re going to charge in that motherfucker! Ok?! Are ya’ll pussies or what?! Look at them, 1, 2, 3, 4. You ain’t got shit on us. We’re all of us, come on!”
At the tunnel mouth, where some
of the worst violence occurred, Crawford chanted, along with others, “Pull them
out!” Crawford is said to have then pushed his way to the front of the mob, and
started swinging his fists at police. At one point, he ducks to avoid chemical
spray. He then lunges at police, tries to drag one officer out of the tunnel,
and hurls a gas mask he had picked up in their direction.
UPDATE:
Granted pre-trial release, the defendant was fitted with an ankle monitor. He
soon found himself in trouble again. Prosecutors asked the judge to revoke
bail, after “strap tamper alerts” were picked up by police
monitors, and tracking showed Crawford to be at a number of unexplained
locations.
UPDATE #2: In May 2024, Crawford pleads guilty to six counts, including four involving attacks on police.

1103. JUAN RODRIGUEZ: Well, give the man some credit for chutzpah. After breaking into the Capitol with other rioters, Mr. Rodriguez spent part of his time in a Senate office recharging his phone.
When police forced rioters out, he left it behind, but through a smashed window, asked police to give it back.
Which they did.
Prior to that, Juan helped kick and wrestle away a police barricade, so that he and other rioters could advance.
Eventually, Rodriguez gained entry to the Capitol through a smashed window, and entered Office S202. Rioters remained there for some time – probably not too sure what to do – until police heard voices inside the room, knocked on the door, which rioters had locked, and managed to push them outside. Soon after, Rodriguez reappeared outside the broken window, and asked for his phone back.
Eventually, he appeared in court, pled guilty to two charges, had two others dropped, and got sent to the slammer for 30 days.

1104. ALEXANDER FAN: Also charged, along with Rodriguez, Mr. Fan admitted he entered the Capitol twice. Once the police forced the two out. The second time, Fan crawled through a smashed window. The impact-resistant panes had been cracked earlier in the riot, by another arrestee, Hunter Ehmke (#66 on our list), but had not been knocked out of their frames.
At
around 4:00 pm, several Capitol Police officers were patrolling the Rotunda and
its adjoining hallways and heard voices coming from Office S202. Officers
sought to open the door, but it was locked. The individuals inside Office S202
did not open the door, despite repeated calls from the officers to unlock the
door. Ultimately, someone did unlock the door, and the officers gained access
to Office S202. Once inside, officers saw defendants Juan RODRIGUEZ, Alexander
FAN and a third man, who has not yet been identified. The previously-shattered
glass was no longer in the window; the panes were empty; and glass littered the
floor of Office S202.
The three rioters were ushered out of the office, and then out of the building; but around 4:30 p.m. Rodriguez revisited the window and asked for the return of his phone. He later told authorities that he came to D.C. to hear President Trump speak.
Mr. Fan later provided federal agents with a selfie he took inside the Senate office. The two friends faced three charges, each.
Fan pled guilty to one. For believing in Donald Trump and all his stupidity, Fan gets a year on probation, and a fine of $500.

1105. LUKE HOFFMAN: Mr. Hoffman was accused of yanking a bike rack away from police at 1:25 p.m. on the day of the riot. Later, he grabbed an officer’s baton and tried to wrestle it out of his hands. Around 2:30 p.m. additional video and photographic evidence shows Hoffman spraying some sort of chemical irritant at police.
Finally, Hoffman (wearing a tan tactical vest) joins the most serious attack on police blocking a tunnel entrance to the Capitol.
As for his chances in court, they weren’t helped when his wife posted his picture, after the riot, and wrote, “I am so proud of my husband! He stood up for America today!! Were you part of today too?”
He was positively identified, including by an F.B.I. agent who attended the same church in Covington, Kentucky as the defendant, for many years. That meant the church-going rioter faced multiple charges, including felony assault. His only hope to avoid prison? To pray for divine intervention.
If he prayed, it wasn’t enough. In April 2024, he pleaded guilty to felony assault. In September, he was sentenced to spend the next twenty months in prison, and ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution.
Hope his wife is still proud.

1106. Richard Markey: On this 987th day, since the 2020 election – with no proof shown yet that Donald J. Trump was cheated out of a victory, Mr. Markey gets indicted. He’s not a tourist. He’s not Antifa. He climbed atop the shoulders of other members of the January 6, 2021 mob, and assaulted police.
According to one witness, who tipped off authorities, Markey asked for time off from work on January 6. On return, later, he admitted he had gone to D.C. to protest. Like so many other recently arrested rioters, Markey joined the attack on police trying to guard a tunnel entrance into the Capitol.
At
approximately 2:42 p.m., rioters began entering the tunnel and attacking the
officers. The rioters broke the glass and forced the doors open. In response,
the USCP and MPD officers formed a police line blocking that entrance to the
U.S. Capitol building. From approximately 2:42 p.m. and on, numerous rioters
sought to breach the police line that formed in the tunnel. The rioters used
various weapons, as well as the force of their bodies, to attempt to overcome
the officers. Many of the rioters assaulted MPD and USCP officers by hurling
objects at them, physically striking them with batons and other blunt
instruments, using lights to distract and disorient the officers, shocking them
with electrical devices, crushing them between the doors. and walls in the
confined space, and spraying chemical irritants and fire extinguishers at them.
Markey joined the battle there almost an hour later. That is:
MARKEY
abruptly emerged from the riotous mob near the south side of the tunnel (Figure
3). MARKEY appeared to then climb swiftly on top of other rioters in order to
move closer to the police line. While doing so, MARKEY is holding what appears
to be a baton in his right hand. As MARKEY continued to push himself toward the
police line, he raised the baton (Figure 4), struck an as-yet unidentified officer
(hereinafter referred to as “Victim Officer 1”) in the face shield with his
left hand (Figure 5) and then struck Victim Officer 1 on the head with the
baton (Figure 6), after which another officer successfully took the baton from
MARKEY. Even after losing his baton, MARKEY continued to swing at the officers
in a further attempt to strike them (Figure 7). A couple of seconds later,
MARKEY struck Victim Officer 1’s head multiple times with his hand (Figure 8).
MARKEY then appears to swing at and strike another as-yet unidentified officer
(hereinafter referred to as “Victim Officer 2”) multiple times with his hands.
Later, a second rioter started striking at officers in a similar fashion, and Markey tried to wrestle shields away from police.
At around 3:56 p.m. on that momentous day, Markey could be seen shouting at an officer, “Oath breaker. Oath breaker. You’re not doing your fucking job. Listen! I fought for this fucking country.”
He then used a long wooden pole to strike at police “seven distinct times,” with “such force” that the pole finally snapped.
Mr. Markey was hit with multiple charges, including a felony for assault on police. On August 20, 2024, he pleads guilty.

The man who loves Hitler – and Trump.
1107. TYLER BRADLEY DYKES: On July 18, 2023, charges against Mr. Dykes were also unsealed. The former Marine had previously served time in prison after joining the right-wing “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017. In that riot, one counter- protester was run down by a car and killed. Dykes spent part of his time in Charlottesville flashing the Nazi salute. (He was identified as one of the participants in the attack that day, on the basis of his “distinctive” eyebrows.)
In regard to the events of January 6, the defendant faced nine charges, including a pair of felonies, one for assaulting a police officer. He bit hard on the sh*t sandwich on April 19, 2024, and pleaded guilty to the felonies, one for ripping a police shield out of an officer’s hands, and using it to help plow a path through defensive lines in front of the Capitol. Without his shield, the officer was exposed to pepper spray unleashed by other members of the mob.
Dykes had already served time on a felony charge related to his part in the “Unite the Right” rally.
In July 2024, he was sentenced to spend 57 months in a cell, and pay $22,000 in fines and restitution. His defense was not boosted when it turned out he had bomb making diagrams on his cell phone, even after the January 6 attack. At his sentencing, Dykes reaffirmed his support for Mr. Trump in 2024. He just won’t be voting for him, since he’ll be stuck in prison.

The real danger.
At this point, we should probably offer a little perspective. We should make clear just how dangerous all these rioters were, both the violent rioters like Dykes, but also the harmless fools who showed up, believing that Trump had won the last election, and they were patriots, and those of us who voted for Biden secretly hated the flag, the country, and freedom.
Ryan J. Reilly, who has covered hundreds of J6 cases, describes testimony given at Mr. Dykes’ sentencing hearing, by one of the officers charged that day with protecting the lives of the vice president and member of Congress.
Lt. R.R., who told NBC News after the hearing
that he only wished to be identified by the initials he used in court, said
that he was initially part of the response to the pipe bombs left at the
Republican National Committee and the Democratic National Committee buildings,
which are located near the Capitol complex. But he felt a duty to respond to
the Capitol itself after hearing the commotion and chaos unfolding over the
radio.
“I couldn’t turn my back on the Capitol,” he
said. “It was a matter of life and death.”
Rioters grabbed him, he said. They punched him.
He was hit with pipes, flag poles and pepper spray so often that he lost
vision. In training, he said, officers had all the water they needed to
decontaminate from the chemical spray. On Jan. 6, they had to use mere ounces,
often splitting water bottles between two officers who had been hit with spray.
One of the most disturbing things he heard were
calls from rioters telling him to leave, to abandon his post, to let the mob
take over the building and get to the lawmakers that police were protecting.
That offended him, he said.
“As if I was only there for show and I don’t
really care about democracy,” he said.
Lt. R.R. said he found it “bizarre” that
rioters were singing the national anthem during an assault on the democratic
process and said that he wondered how members of the mob thought a similar
fight should play out after the next election, or in reaction to news from the
Supreme Court. Do they just think whoever uses the most violence should win? he
wondered aloud.
“I think that democracy and the rule of law is
fragile, and it’s not guaranteed,” Lt. R.R. said. “That’s not the America I
believe in.”
Nor was Lt. R.R. the only person deeply troubled by events of that horrible day.
U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth, first appointed to the federal bench in 1987 by President Ronald Reagan, blasted GOP lawmakers for trying to whitewash what happened on January 6. (He did not name, but quoted comments made by Representatives Andrew Clyde, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Elise Stefanik.)
During
one hearing, he explained:
“The
Court is accustomed to defendants who refuse to accept that they did anything
wrong. But in my thirty-seven years on the bench, I cannot recall a time when
such meritless justifications of criminal activity have gone mainstream,”
Lamberth said, according to his prepared remarks.
“I have been dismayed to see distortions and outright falsehoods seep into the public consciousness,” Lamberth continued before he issued a stark warning: “The Court fears that such destructive, misguided rhetoric could presage further danger to our country.”

1108. Spencer Geller: An indictment has been filed against Mr. Geller, who allegedly participated in the riot with his girlfriend, and now wife, Jennifer Vargas Geller (#1043 on our list).
Mr. Geller is accused of being one of the first attackers to grab bicycle racks used to hold back the mob, and trying to breaks through the defense. The most recent news we have indicates that Mr. and Mrs. Rioter are currently living in Japan, and may also have a baby. If it’s a boy, let’s hope they named him “Donald.”
Dad now faces a felony charge.

Secret meeting in the basement.
1109-1124: Kathy Berden, et. al.: Fifteen alleged “false electors” in Michigan have been charged with eight felonies each. Several charges involve forgery (the fake electoral ballots which they intended to send to Congress), and there’s one felony for conspiracy, with the fifteen defendants allegedly plotting to replace the slate of Michigan electors certified by the state, as well as felonies for violating election law. Among other problematic statements, the “Michigan Fifteen” claimed to have “convened and organized” at the State Capitol, as required by law.
In
reality, they met secretly in the basement of the nearby GOP headquarters. (They did plot at one point to sneak into the
building at night, and vote the next day, to meet that legal requirement.)
It is also alleged that at one point Ms. Berden complained to one of the other conspirators that a third was giving away the game. “Was she not told at the meeting to keep quite (sic),” Berden asked John Haggard?
He assured her that had been his understanding.
We also know two potential “fakes” decided not to show up for the signing, and had to be replaced. Michele Lundgren, claims she received a phone call on December 13, 2020, was told to show up in Lansing the following day, and at GOP headquarters simply signed what she believed was a “sign-in” sheet. “We signed a blank piece of paper,” Lundgren explained to a Detroit News reporter. “And that’s all I can tell you.”
Innocent until proven otherwise…
But smelling pretty fishy.
(Originally
there were sixteen fake electors charged, but #1125 below has agreed to a plea
deal and charges were dropped.
1125. JAMES RENNER: Yes! Finally, a Trump supporter dodges all charges – after agreeing to cooperate with prosecutors in the “fake electors” case.
Ha, ha, Trump fans. Renner, 77, is about to spill more beans – and this news comes on the same day Sidney Powell (#1183 on our list) agrees to spill beans in the Georgia election fraud case.
Renner’s lawyer says he and his client are pleased with the results.
Trump supporters (all sixteen dopes).

Roe brings the pitchfork!
1126. CHRISTOPHER ROE: On July 19, 2023, Mr. Roe is added to our ever-expanding list. He is charged with assaulting police during the riot on Capitol Hill – while carrying a pitchfork.
Another member of the worst tourist group ever, “Roe shoved one of the … officers several feet backward and wrapped his arm around the officer’s baton” during some of the heaviest fighting. Roe also used a bike rack to ram a door in an effort to gain entrance to the Capitol.
A DOJ communique describes his alleged crimes in more detail:
According
to court documents, on Jan. 6, 2021, Roe attended the “Stop the Steal” rally in
Washington, D.C., carrying, among other items, a pitchfork, zip ties, and duct
tape. After the rally, Roe went to the west front of the U.S. Capitol building
and approached a police line with the pitchfork in hand. Court documents say
that Roe then pushed a police officer and wrapped his arm around the officer’s
arm. Other officers then sprayed Roe with a chemical irritant, causing him to
retreat from the police line.
Court
documents say that Roe later moved to the Upper West Terrace, where he entered
the House of Representatives wing of the Capitol. Roe moved through the Capitol
for approximately 15 minutes when law enforcement officers attempted to remove
Roe and other rioters from the building. Roe shoved one of these officers
several feet backward and wrapped his arm around the officer’s baton. Roe was
then expelled from the building; however, court documents say that Roe
reentered the building through the East Rotunda Doors with another mob and
further clashed with police.
At one point, he was heard to shout at a Capitol Police officer, “You are protecting traitors and treasonists. They committed treason. And you shot one of us. That’s bullshit. Put your baton down and f***ing join us.”
Now, Roe will be “joining” the rest of the rioters going to prison. On November 2, 2023, just one day short of the third anniversary of the last presidential election, he pleads guilty in court.
UPDATE: Among other items Mr. Roe brought to the riot: a six-inch knife, zip ties, and duct tape – we may assume in case he got his hands on Nancy Pelosi, and his pitchfork wasn’t enough to stop her.
Court records note that prior to his third entry into the building,
a small group of police officers attempted to prevent rioters from creating yet another breach of the Capitol by holding a small set of double doors closed. To thwart these efforts, Roe approached the double doors with a bicycle rack and proceeded to slam it against the doors approximately ten times before officers deployed a fire extinguisher towards him. Roe and the other rioters caused nearly $1,000 in damage to those doors.
Prosecutors
are currently pushing for a sentence of 71 months behind bars in Mr.
Pitchfork’s case.
FUN FACT: During the sentencing phase of Mr. Roe’s trial, his lawyer makes a plea for leniency. He notes, for example, that his client has been in a stable marriage for years, and has a two-year-old daughter. Mr. Roe’s wife Leah, describes her husband as “a loving father, a supportive spouse, and a hardworking, loyal individual who tries to do the right thing.”
Mr. Roe’s lawyer also lays out – at great length – all the lies told by Mr. Trump and multiple right-wing news outlets, about the stolen election. “Among Republicans,” his lawyer adds, “78% say Biden did not win, and 54% believe there is solid evidence of that although no such evidence exists.”
Finally, he takes up an argument
that many of us, who find Trump repulsive, have always suspected. “Accusations
that some Trump supporters have a cult-like loyalty” to him, Roe’s lawyer cites
in defense of his client. A cult, he writes, can catalyze the formation of a “shared
psychotic disorder,” involving a dominant, charismatic leader who dictates the
beliefs, actions, and behaviors of followers.
UPDATE #2: Roe’s journey through the courts ends with a judge sentencing him to 70 months in prison. He’s going to miss significant time with his little girl; he gets hit with fines and fees for $2,300: and there’s still no proof upheld in any court to show that the 2020 election was “rigged,” or “stolen,” or even had its ears boxed.
At sentencing, Roe’s lawyer, a public defender, asks a judge to go easy on his client, noting that former President Trump has never been held accountable for stirring up the rioters. I also learned that Roe got pepper-sprayed twice in one day, and still tried to fight a way in a third time.

1127. ERIC GLEN HARROWER: Harrower, from Missouri, helped other rioters use bike racks to climb past police lines and attack the Capitol. His demise (legally speaking) began when Joshua Dressel (#850 on our list) was identified as a member of the mob, which eventually led investigators to his friend, Mr. Harrower.
In February 2022, the Missourian sat for a voluntary interview with federal agents. He admitted he and Dressel were inside the building (Dressel has already been convicted, and sentenced to fourteen days behind bars).
Harrower volunteered that he
came to the FBI willingly to accept responsibility for being in the Capitol and
pay the consequences. Harrower was shown four printed pictures of himself in
the Capitol. He signed and dated the pictures acknowledging that the individual
in the pictures was in fact him.
Harrowers' view that day. |
From where Harrower stood at one point, he could watch other rioters attack and overwhelm police lines.
Once inside, Harrower also admitted he saw another rioter throw a fire extinguisher at a police officer. He was inside from 2:14 p.m. until 2:36 p.m., when he climbed out a window and left.
Harrower faced two charges – and pled guilty to one on November 17, 2023. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail, place on probation, and fined $500.

1128. ISRAEL MATSON: Matson showed up for the fun on January 6, 2021, dressed in Trump regalia, and carrying a megaphone.
He can be seen at multiple points, inside the Capitol. He seems mostly to have roamed around for 32 minutes. Matson has already confirmed pictures indicating his presence; and he has admitted he flew from Salt Lake City to D.C. to attend the Trump rally on the morning of the attack.
He has expressed a willingness to accept whatever punishment is merited, regarding two misdemeanor charges.
In October 2023, he pleads guilty to a single misdemeanor charge; and we hope he has learned his lesson.
The final cost to Matson: a year on probation, $500, and (probably) a hefty bill from his lawyer.
