The Tail of the Bunny and What We Learn about Donald J. Trump

I try to chronicle the escapades of Donald J. Trump and his predatory crew every day. In this episode we learn something about the man from a Playboy Bunny, which is an indication of how far we have fallen already:

4/19/18 (Day 90; Year II): It’s been that kind of presidency. One Playboy Bunny has escaped from what was apparently a rigged non-disclosure agreement (possibly involving illegal backdoor involvement by Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael D. Cohen) brokered with the National Enquirer.

A lot of Bunnies figure in the story of this administration. So pay attention. This Bunny is Karen McDougal. She claims she carried on a ten-month affair with Trump back in 2006, around the time third Trump wife and current FLOTUS Melania, was recovering from the birth of her child. Now, in court, McDougal has managed to win the right to talk freely, and, if possible, make as much money as she can.

(In part, it appears the National Enquirer and its lawyers caved, because if they kept fighting, Cohen and others, possibly including Donald J. Trump, might have been forced to give depositions.)

Okay, don’t get the Bunnies mixed up. We are not talking about the Bunny impregnated by sleazebag Republican fund raiser and Trump pal, Elliott Broidy. (See: 4/14/18 and 4/16/18.)

Nor do we mean the Bunny trainee who went on to become a federal judge (more on her in a moment)

We mean the latest Bunny to tell her tail.

Let’s be honest here and just say this is Trumpistan, and anything is possible. Of course, there’s another Playboy Bunny in the news. This time, we’re talking about Barbara Moore, Miss December of 1992, who says she had an affair with Trump in 1993. And may I be the first to say, “Well, thank god, at least the First Lady wasn’t in the picture in those days.”

So…Trump wasn’t cheating on any wife…..

Oh, wait.

He was engaged at the time to Marla Maples, who would soon become his second wife. And Maples was pregnant with their child, a baby they would eventually name Tiffany.

In other words, typical cheating Donald J. Trump!

Moore in more clothes than normal.

If you would like to read about what Moore calls a “steamy” affair you can click the link above and see what she told the British tabloid, the Daily Mail. She certainly has lots of pictures from her visits to Mar-a-Lago. In fact, it appears she took pictures of every room in the house and probably stuck her head in all the closets and opened the medicine cabinets. She has photos of herself with the cook, herself in a bikini by the pool, one of her ascending the steps and one of a younger version of the Big Orange Buffoon, flexing his muscles.

Moore says she came forward now because her name appeared in a legal document filed in Karen McDougal’s case.

Believe it or not, another Bunny was also outed in the documents; but she’s not talking yet.

For the president, I suppose you could say there’s good news and bad in her story. First the good: Moore says Trump was a great lover and a gentleman. She even says she believes he’s a great president.

(I think we can safely say, then, that Trump was not attracted to Moore because of impressive intellect.)

The bad news—proven again—is that Trump is a serial liar.

Moore has few regrets about her affair with the billionaire businessman. But she does admit she had no idea there was already another woman in his life. “But at the time I didn’t know he was with someone else, let alone engaged to Marla Maples and it was only recently I learned she was pregnant at the time.”

This had “shocked” her, she said.

The DailyMail.com reached out to the White House for comment. “A source familiar with the matter said the president said these are more false accusations.”

Again with the “fake news” dodge!

In other words, add Moore to the incredibly long list of people who for no reason whatever tell lies about Donald J. Trump. That list would include nineteen women who accused him of sexual improprieties during the 2016 campaign, a couple of thousand students at Trump University who say they were scammed, dozens of undocumented Polish workers cheated out of wages decades ago, and pretty much every single person at the top of the Department of Justice and F.B.I.

If you’d care to read more about the previous sexual escapades of our current president, you can go to the article and indulge. Moore does go into detail about how they met and how they flirted and how excited she was to meet the famous businessman in the flesh.

In all the flesh.

“I was intimate with him the first night. Yes,” she says. “And it was really…I felt special. I felt like he was very passionate with me and we both felt a chemistry. I was surprised he was older, I’d never been with an older man before, but he was good, a really good lover. He was kissing my neck, being really attentive. And you know, the sex was normal, he didn’t ask me to do anything weird at all.”

That, at least, is a relief.

“I felt like it was love-making, not just a one night stand,” Moore continued. “And I didn’t feel like I was a piece of meat or anything. I just felt really admired and adored. He was very loving.”

The next morning she was embarrassed to “do the walk of shame back to her room in the sparkly gold dress she was wearing from the night before.”

Never fear, Ms. Moore. Donald is a gentleman—at least in terms of how he treats whatever woman he is boinking at the time. He “gave me an overcoat and called a security guard up to his suite. I felt like, wow, this guy really is nice. He’s a gentleman. He was a complete gentleman the whole time.”

That would be: The whole time he was cheating on his fianceƩ.

Well, you get the idea. Moore was invited to Mar-a-Lago. Trump played golf part of the time and she watched, and they rode around in a golf cart and had sex. Not in the golf cart, I don’t mean. “I would make him laugh. And I remember him taking a lot of pictures of me. The whole thing was a whirlwind, a fantasy come true,” Moore says now.

Did we mention Trump was already engaged and the woman he was going to marry was carrying his child????

Moore was living a fantasy for sure.

Moore does have a lot of pictures—and the Daily Mail notes that these pictures still have the date stamp, for example, “April 25, 1993,” in the lower right corners.

The tale of tail continues:

After her dreamland visit to Mar-a-Lago, Moore and Trump regularly spoke over the phone. Moore says she’d regularly call him and came to be on first name terms with his two personal assistants, Rhona and Norma. (Rhona Graff was Trump’s executive assistant and Norma Infante Foerderer was his long-time personal assistant.) In an old phone book Moore dug out of her attic an entry under T shows Donald Trump’s phone numbers entered in pencil.

“I definitely felt like our relationship was getting stronger. And, and that’s when he invited me to New York to the Trump Tower and I just thought that, you know, we were an item. I thought that we were dating and I was special.”

She flew to New York and hung out in his penthouse and they had sex. She came back to the city again in the summer, this time for a photo shoot. Another Playmate told her she should call her “boyfriend.” Moore did and Trump invited both young women over. Trump said he was tired after a long flight and didn’t want to go out—and we assume be seen and reported to Marla.

Did we mention Marla was pregnant???

Moore picks up the story once more:

We had a couple of glasses of champagne and Donald was laying on his back, on his bed with his arms up and we were just sitting on the corner of his bed talking and chatting. Then he goes “come here” and I just started to hug him and we started kissing and my friend was still there. We just went at it and it was like she just didn’t exist.

At this point, you may want to stop reading or get a wastebasket and vomit. As “things turned steamy,” the Daily Mail reports, “the friend retreated but only as far as a chair in the corner of the room. She sat and watched as Moore and the billionaire had sex. Moore smiles at the naughty moment.”

That’s probably all you need to know about Trump, the gentleman. There was “giggling and it was playful,” Moore insists. It didn’t bother her that the other young woman was watching “because we were such good friends.” She hadn’t expected to have sex with a witness—but she was “really young and it’s just what happened.”

Moore is quick to add, that Trump never suggested the second Playmate join the fray. I mean, you have to have standards, right?

Then a key detail, as related by the Daily Mail: “Throughout the illicit affair Moore says it never once occurred to her [emphasis added] that Trump might be engaged to another woman. And not for a second did Moore think Trump was two-timing her with another woman, let alone engaged to someone.”

Even when her aunt living in New Jersey, who was working in New York as a fit model, passed comment that she thought Trump was dating someone called Marla, Moore ignored it.

“I suppose I trusted him because we talked almost every day, but my aunt was right. I never ever thought that he was seeing anybody else that didn’t even cross my mind.

I was very young and I just thought this is my guy right now.”

Their “relationship” fizzled in September 1993, for what are obvious reasons today. On October 13, Tiffany Trump was born. That December, Moore’s “gentleman” married Maples, in a lavish ceremony in front of a thousand guests.

Moore says she and her daughter both voted for Trump in 2016. “I love him as our president. I love him because it’s funny to me when he kind of puts his foot in his mouth….I think he’s doing a great job and there’s more to come. I feel safe with him in charge.”

Apparently she’s not worried to think he’s exactly the same man she met in 1993: that is an accomplished and prolific liar.

*

I mentioned a Bunny trainee who became a judge. By cosmic coincidence, it turns out Judge Kimba A. Wood, currently hearing motions in the case involving F.B.I. raids on Michael D. Cohen’s office, home, hotel suite and safety box once entered the Playboy Bunny training program on a lark.

She was in college and needed the money but only lasted a week. Prancing around in skimpy outfits wasn’t her style, no matter the pay.

I think we can all agree this story would be way cooler, however, if she had posed semi-nude with Trump sometime in the past.

But no.

All Judge Wood has been doing lately is denying motions by Trump’s legal team to quash any evidence that may have turned up in the raids.

Forrest Gump in the Oval Office

In case you missed this story, the conservative radio host, Erick Erickson, took a call from an angry Republican congressman this week.

The lawmaker wanted to meet but didn’t want to be seen anywhere near Capitol Hill. They agreed to rendezvous at a D.C. Safeway store.

What Erickson’s source really wanted was to vent about President Trump, a man equal parts Richard Nixon, Warren G. Harding and....Forrest Gump?

With Trump you get the same simpleminded thinking as with Gump,
but without the strenuous exercise and kind heart.

Erickson relates the conversation this way, as the two men wander the supermarket aisles, squeezing the avocados and pondering which brand of toilet paper to buy:

“I read you writing about this, about wanting to say nice things when you can and criticize when you need to. He may be an idiot, but he’s still the President and leader of my party and he is capable of doing some things right,” the mysterious congressman began.

But dammit he’s taking us all down with him. We are well and truly f**ked in November. Kevin [McCarthy] is already circling like a green fly circling sh*t trying to take Paul’s [Ryan] job because nobody thinks he’s sticking around for Nancy [Pelosi]. She’s going to f**k up the cafeteria again too. It’s like Forrest Gump won the presidency, but an evil, really f*cking stupid Forrest Gump. He can’t help himself. He’s just a f**king idiot who thinks he’s winning when people are b*tching about him. He really does see the world as ratings and attention. I hate Forrest Gump…Can you believe it beat the Shawshank Redemption? Judiciary [the House Judiciary Committee] is stacked with a bunch of people who can win re-election so long as they don’t piss off Trump voters in the primary. But if we get to summer and most of the primaries are over, they just might pull the trigger if the President fires Mueller. The sh*t will hit the fan if that happens and I’d vote to impeach him myself. Most of us would, I think. Hell, all the Democrats would and you only need a majority in the House. If we’re going to lose because of him, we might as well impeach the motherf**ker. Take him out with us and let Mike [Pence] take over. At least then we could sleep well at night…You know having Mike as President would really piss off all the right people, too. They think they hate Trump. Mike is competent. I say a lot of shit on TV defending [Trump], even over this. But honestly, I wish the motherf*cker would just go away. We’re going to lose the House, lose the Senate, and lose a bunch of states because of him. All his supporters will blame us for what we have or have not done, but he hasn’t led. He wakes up in the morning, sh*ts all over Twitter, sh*ts all over us, sh*ts all over his staff, then hits golf balls. F*ck him. Of course, I can’t say that in public or I’d get run out of town.

Erickson sums it all up:
The congressman’s base loves the President. And we’re done. He feels better having let it all out. It was a funny conversation with a few additional remarks about the President’s personal life I dare not print. And yes, I agree, it is bad form to say all this in private while publicly praising the President. Welcome to Donald Trump’s Washington.
 Everybody does this sh*t here.

President Trump Gets Body-Shamed and Fox News Doesn't like It; also: Trump Can't Find a Lawyer

I’m not going to lie. Making fun of Donald J. Trump is a labor of love, not to mention surprisingly easy.

So I update my blog regularly, having made fun of the fool in the Oval Office for 432 days without a miss.

See, for example: “Emperor Trump, Year II: Chaos and Incompetence Continue.”

*

Developments for March 26/27: In just the last few days, we have heard a former Playboy Playmate accuse him of conducting a ten-month-long affair in the early days of his marriage to Melania, his third wife.

Then Stormy Daniels showed up on television to talk about spanking Donald with a copy of Forbes magazine and having a consensual one-night stand with the, at-the-time, less-than-attractive 62-year-old man.

Speaking of “less-than-attractive” old men, Monday, the latest issue of The New Yorker arrived in my mail. If you haven’t picked up on the hullabaloo regarding the cover, you may not have heard conservatives are furious over the “body-shaming” of the Big Orange Buffoon, as I like to call the President of the United States.

This made Fox News and Trump fans mad.

Naturally, at Fox News, there was outrage over the “repulsive” depiction of poor Donald J. Trump.

We will address the irony of defending the Buffoon from insult in a moment. First, we should note that Fox, in a story highlighting negative “reader reaction” to The New Yorker cover, seemed to cite “reader” reaction mostly from people who in all likelihood never read the actual magazine. “Shame on you for doing this to anybody, not just the president,” said one “reader.” That seemed legitimate. A second “reader” proclaimed, oddly enough, “Your readers are snobs.” Apparently, he or she was tired of being a snob him- or herself. But bonus points, I guess, for being self-aware! Yet another “reader” insisted the magazine was “turning into the Mad Magazine” of “urban elitists.” A fourth went off the deep end, citing the cover as sad evidence of “liberal deep state minds at work, only hurting the future of our country, it [sic] citizens and their own families! What goes around comes around.”

Finally, a conservative commentator quoted for the Fox News story claimed the cover was another sign of “intolerance and mean spirited behavior” on the part of the liberal media.

If you were a liberal you had to burst out with a laugh.

Suddenly, we were supposed to feel ashamed because we had attacked a leader who has no shame? This is the very same man who insults others on a daily, almost hourly, basis. We were supposed to feel sorry for Donald J. Trump, who said a woman who accused him of sexual assault wasn’t pretty enough to warrant his attacks—not that he attacked anyone, of course. We were supposed to forget he said he couldn’t imagine voting for Carly Fiorina, because, “look at that face.” We should feel bad about body-shaming the man who labeled a Miss Universe winner who gained “a massive amount of weight,” at least in his eyes, as a “Miss Piggy.”

Get real.

If the right wing cared about “body-shaming” and “intolerant” people, it might be nice if the folks at Fox started poking around in their own giant manure pile. The man in the Oval Office spent years denying the citizenship of Barack Obama. Talking heads at Fox helped convince a majority of Trump supporters that Obama was a Muslim—when he isn’t—and when the U.S. Constitution makes it clear it wouldn’t matter if he was. Trump and Fox both stoked irrational fear of all Muslims in people’s empty heads. The Buffoon launched his campaign by trying to paint all Mexican immigrants as “murders” and “rapists.” More recently, he told aides all Haitian immigrants had AIDS.

Even the dimwits who pass for pundits at Fox News should be able to remember at least a little of what happened when President Obama was in office. No one at the network expressed any concern when Ted Nugent said Mr. Obama should suck on his machine gun (or took umbrage when Trump invited Nugent to the White House soon after taking office). Fox hosts like Bill O’Reilly claimed racism was no longer an issue in America. They never balked when a conservative called Mrs. Obama “an ape in heels” or another said he hoped she’d go back to Africa where she belonged and “live in a cave” with gorillas. The right wasn’t worried when Richard Spencer, head of the American Nazi Party, celebrated Trump’s electoral victory. Nor is the right concerned now when Alex Jones says he’d enjoy killing a few liberals.

Nope. Not a bit.

This didn't bother anyone at Fox News a bit.

But a “nasty” magazine cover, my god! That’s just going too far!

If the right is truly worried about intolerance, I would suggest Trump fans go to the Trump Twitter Archive and see how often the Big Orange Buffoon insults others. According to the Insulter-in-Chief, his enemies are “crazy” (Bernie Sanders, Jim Acosta, Maureen Dowd, Joe Biden, etc.), “little” (Marco Rubio) “short and fat” (Kim Jong-un; okay, I kind of agree with that), “liddle” (Bob Corker), “low I.Q.” (Mika Brzezinski, Maxine Waters) and “psycho” (President Obama, Joe Scarborough).

How about today? Any interesting news in Trumpistan of late?

Let’s see. The stock market is bouncing back—which is good. John Bolton is still nuts. Which is bad. The head of Veterans’ Affairs, Trump’s hand-picked boy, is probably about to get canned.

Just an ordinary day in Trumpistan.

Oh, and we now know the lawyer for Stephanie Clifford (a.k.a. “Stormy Daniels”) has filed a defamation lawsuit against Michael D. Cohen, the personal lawyer of Donald J. Trump (a.k.a. “David Dennison”).

Speaking of lawsuits, etc., we also learn that Trump is having trouble finding topflight lawyers to join his team and defend him in the Russian investigation. Not that there was any collusion at all!!!!! Trump, however, is telling all his loyal fans he can hire any lawyer he wants, including Perry Mason, Matlock and Saul Goodman, from “Better Call Saul.”

Top White House aides would like to inform the Buffoon these are all fictional lawyers but no one has the heart to break the news.

Meanwhile, Ted Olson, a powerhouse Washington, D.C. lawyer, who has worked for all kinds of Republican causes and clients, declined recently to help poor Donald out. In fact, he told reporters that—to be frank—leaders in the legal field don’t actually relish working with Donald J. Trump.

David Corn, a reporter for Mother Jones, ran into Olson a few days ago and tried to pin him down. Why would he be reluctant to join the Trump legal team, Corn asked? Olson didn’t care to explain. Olson dodged a few other queries and then let down his guard slightly, joking about Joe diGenova, who joined Trump’s legal team and then “un-joined” in just two days.

Finally, Corn tried a different tack:

So [he asked] is Trump going to have trouble finding attorneys? Olson shrugged again. “Let me ask this a different way,” I said. “In the last few days has any lawyer come up to you and said, ‘I’m willing to work for Trump?'”

Without hesitation, Olson said, “No.” Not at all? “Not at all.”

Washington, I noted, is full of Republican lawyers who generally do not mind being in the middle of headline-generating scandals and earning a bit of notice. Olson laughed: “That’s right.” And not one of them had contacted him to say he or she was willing to sign up? “No,” he repeated.

Trump seems to believe he’s a hot ticket for DC’s top legal talent. The word on the street is different.

In other words, it’s time to ask. Could it be top legal professionals are hesitant to join with Donald J. Trump to pay off porn stars, as Cohen now admits he did—and pay them off out of their own pockets as Cohen currently claims? I mean: $130,000 out of your own pocket? That’s going to leave a dent in any bank account.

Or could this be? Is it possible leading legal lights suspect what most Americans suspect: that the Big Orange Buffoon is up to his ample belly, if not more, in an array of crimes and an illegal cover up--or two—or three?

Maybe more?

Michael Avenatti just sued Trump's personal lawyer for defaming his client, Stormy Daniels.

Stormy Daniels: Like Trump, Only with Gigantic Breasts

If you can watch enough Fox News and convince yourself eight other people, a slew of F.B.I. and Justice Department leaders and countless reporters are liars, whereas Donald J. Trump (a.k.a. "Big Orange Buffoon") is a pillar of virtue, then you might think the president is having a good week.

In reality, it appears we are about to learn that Stormy Daniels is Donald J. Trump with gigantic breasts.

Stormy Daniels may be prepared to spill some Trump beans.

3/20: Tuesday gets off to a bad start when President Buffoon calls Shirtless Strongman Vladimir Putin to congratulate him on winning an election in which leading opposition candidates were barred from running.

As we all know by now:

Donald

♥’s

Vladimir

Unfortunately, for the couple, Republican Senator John McCain responds with this harsh assessment:

[A]n American president does not lead the free world by congratulating dictators on winning sham elections. And by doing so with Vladimir Putin, President Trump insulted every Russian citizen who was denied the right to vote in a free and fair election to determine their country’s future, including the countless Russian patriots who have risked so much to protest and resist Putin’s regime.

White House Press Liar Sarah Sanders admits later that the Big Orange Buffoon did not bother to mention Russian meddling in the 2016 election or ask about the nerve agent used in an attempted assassination of a Kremlin critic on British soil.

Apparently, the two pals talked mostly about office pools and March Madness. Putin is picking Trump University to win it all.

Donald does love Putin, it would seem; but not as much as Stormy and Karen!

3/21: John O. Brennan served the C.I.A. for twenty-five years. He left government service and then returned, serving as head of the agency from 2013 to 2017. In theory, if you watch a lot of Fox News, at least, Brennan could be just another liar picking on poor Donald J. Trump. After F.B.I. Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was fired, late Friday night, March 16 (just 26 hours before he was scheduled to retire), Brennan tweeted this response, aimed at the Big Orange Buffoon:

When the full extent of your venality, moral turpitude, and political corruption becomes known, you will take your rightful place as a disgraced demagogue in the dustbin of history. You may scapegoat Andy McCabe, but will not destroy America... America will triumph over you.

So, if you watched Fox, you had to now convince yourself: 1) McCabe was a liar, out to get Donald; 2) James Comey was a liar; 3) Brennan was also a liar; 4) former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper was a liar, too.

A fifth “liar,” retired four-star General Barry R. McCaffrey, had harsh words the same day. “Reluctantly,” he tweeted, “I have concluded that President Trump is a serious threat to US national security. He is refusing to protect vital US interests from active Russian attacks. It is apparent that he is for some unknown reason under the sway of Mr Putin.”

But what does McCaffrey know! All he has are three Purple Hearts, two Silver Stars for valor, and two Distinguished Service Crosses to his name.

Brennan attacked Trump again on MSNBC on Tuesday. “I’m saying that perhaps the Russians have something and that’s why Mr. Trump is concerned,” he told the show’s hosts. He could not say what that “something” might be, but added, “Mr. Trump knows better than any one of us whether or not the Russians may have something on him.”

3/22: John Dowd, lead lawyer in the Buffoon’s dealings with the Mueller investigation, suddenly resigns.

Sources tell reporters Dowd believes he cannot control his client. Trump reportedly believes Mueller is the Anti-Christ.

I’m joking—but you can believe almost anything where Trump is involved.

We are then told Dowd’s replacement will be Joseph diGenova—famous for floating the theory on Fox News that evil forces at work inside the F.B.I. and Justice Department are working to “frame” Donald J. Trump.

Ironically, just eleven days earlier, Trump had used a pair of tweets to attack the fake news people at The New York Times:

The Failing New York Times purposely wrote a false story stating that I am unhappy with my legal team on the Russia case and am going to add another lawyer to help out. Wrong. I am VERY happy with my lawyers, John Dowd, Ty Cobb and Jay Sekulow. They are doing a great job and.....” “...have shown conclusively that there was no Collusion with Russia..just excuse for losing. The only Collusion was that done by the DNC, the Democrats and Crooked Hillary. The writer of the story, Maggie Haberman, a Hillary flunky, knows nothing about me and is not given access.

So, now Haberman had lied. That would make Liar #6 (not counting all the liars at the F.B.I. and Justice), if we follow Trump’s count.

After months of increasing tension, the Orange Buffoon also decided to replace National Security Advisor H.R.

McMaster. McMaster first irritated his boss when he said the proof that Russia meddled in the 2016 election was “incontrovertible.”

And it might be possible, if you have the attention span of a cocker spaniel that you forget that moment on March 1, when Trump told a spokesman for the National Security Council that any story about McMaster being replaced was “fake news.” “I was just with President Trump and H.R. McMaster in the Oval Office,” the spokesman, Michael Anton, said in a statement provided to reporters.” Trump, Anton added, “told McMaster that he is doing a great job.”

The situation hardly improved Thursday night. First, a variety of White House aides told reporters Trump was prepared to sign the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill the next day, and keep the U.S. government running.

The evening ended with a “bang” (if you will excuse the word) when Anderson Cooper interviewed Karen McDougal, former Playboy Playmate of the Year, who explained in great detail that she had had a ten-month long affair with then Businessman Big Orange Buffoon back in 2006 and 2007. She mentioned that the first time they had sex he offered to pay her, which took her aback.

She’s sorry now, she told Cooper, sorry she helped Trump cheat on Melania, his third wife. In one creepy exchange she described being spirited through a back entry, into Trump Tower and ushered up to Donald and Melania’s penthouse suite. She said it made her feel dirty and she asked to leave. You wonder: Was Trump going to ask her to be “intimate,” maybe on his own marital bed? Well, you never know—unless you watch Fox News. Then you know! The White House denies this affair took place; but no one in the White House (or on Fox News) can explain why a friend of Donald’s would pay McDougal $150,000 for her story rights and then refuse to publish her tale just weeks before the 2016 election.

This would make McDougal Liar #7.

3/23: President Trump wakes early. He watches Fox News. All the Fox pundits and Fox babes are calling the spending bill terrible.

Trump considers taking decisive action—which apparently he never thought of doing the night before. “I am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded,” he tweets.

Congressional leaders are left scrambling to try to deal with an impending government shutdown. At 11:38 the Buffoon announces, again via tweet: “News conference at the White House concerning the Omnibus Spending Bill. 1:00 P.M.”

Get that veto pen ready!!!

No one inside the White House has any idea what the Buffoon is going to do, including the Buffoon.

Eventually, Trump appears at the podium for a rambling discussion on why he is going to sign the bill after all, even though the bill is “ridiculous” and “terrible” and, well, what can he do? He needs the money to fund the military—which you figure he must have known all along. Well, don’t blame him for what will soon turn into a huge budget deficit for the coming fiscal year!

He’s only the president!

What Congress should do, he explains to a listening nation, is give up the “power of the purse,” and allow him to line-item veto any elements of any funding legislation he doesn’t personally like.

Alas, someone needs to explain to poor Donald that this matter has already been decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. In Clinton v. City of New York (1998), the court considered a law passed with strong Republican backing in Congress and with approval from President Billl Clinton, to allow presidents to do just that.

In a 6-3 ruling, the highest court in the land declared the law unconstitutional.

3/24: Hundreds of thousands of Americans join the “March for Our Lives” in the nation’s capital on Saturday. They are gathered to demand action to stem the bloody tide of gun violence that stains this great nation. There are also “sibling marches” in 800 towns and cities, including marches in 390 congressional districts across the land. New York City marchers number 175,000. Paul McCartney is there in remembrance of his friend, John Lennon, gunned down by an armed psychopath in 1980.

The teenagers who did so much to organize the marches—and fuel them with passion—lead the way. More than a thousand young people from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where the most recent massacre occurred, attend D.C. events and help fuel the fervor. Survivors of slaughter speak eloquently. Emma Gonzalez reads the names of the 17 who died at her school. Then she stands in silence for six minutes and twenty seconds, the exact time it took for one unbalanced young man, armed with an AR-15, a military-style weapon designed for battlefield use, to kill or wound 34 of Gonzalez’s classmates.

34.

Students from across the nation, who have witnessed the scourge of too many guns play out, also speak up. Edna Chavez, 17, from Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles, tells the crowd about her brother, Ricardo, who had been shot and killed. “I have learned to duck from bullets before I learned to read,” she explains. Then she leads the crowd in a chant: “Ricardo! Ricardo!”

Trevon Bosley, a high school student from Chicago who had also lost a brother, also talks. “I’m here to speak for those youth who fear they may be shot while going to the gas station, the movies, the bus stop, to church or even to and from school,” he says. “I’m here to speak for those Chicago youth who feel their voices have been silenced for far too long.” Other marchers in D.C. and at other locations included parents who lost six-year-old sons and daughters at Sandy Hook in 2012 and Lauren Milgram, 12, herself a survivor of that heinous attack.

Martin Luther King Jr.’s granddaughter also steps up to the mike. “My grandfather had a dream that his four little children would not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character,” nine-year-old Yolanda Ree King tells the D.C. crowd. “I have a dream that enough is enough. That this should be a gun-free world.

“Period.”

That much is a utopian dream—but you can hardly fail to be impressed with the spirit of these young people who wish to make America a better, safer place to live. Well: unless you speak for the NRA.

Marchers included NBA star Dwayne Wade and Golden State Warriors Coach Steve Kerr.

The NRA weighed in with this: “Today’s protests aren’t spontaneous. Gun-hating billionaires and Hollywood elites are manipulating and exploiting children as part of their plan to DESTROY the Second Amendment and strip us of our right to defend ourselves and our loved ones.”

In a video clip released the day before, an NRA representative, Colion Noir, criticizes the Parkland survivors and what he describes as “a march for their lies.”

Apparently, the Second Amendment is the only amendment he actually likes. “To all the kids from Parkland getting ready to use your First Amendment to attack everyone else’s Second Amendment at your march on Saturday, I wish a hero like Blaine had been at Marjory Douglas High School last month.”

Blaine, in this case, would be Blaine Gaskill, the school resource officer who quickly shot and killed another school shooter at Great Mills High School in Maryland earlier the same week.

Noir continued angrily, “Because your classmates would still be alive and no one would know your names. And because the media would have completely and utterly ignored your story the way they ignored his.”

You could quickly pick holes in Noir’s response if you liked. You could start by noting that these kids undoubtedly wish no one knew their names now—because their names are only known because they speak for seventeen dead friends. You could also note that none of the leaders of the “March for Our Lives” were suggesting disarming police. You could even google “Gaskill” and find 200,000 stories that mentioned him by name. Then you could mull over the tragedy of Jaelynn Willey 17, shot in the head and left brain dead by an armed classmate before Officer Gaskill could respond and ask if perhaps that didn’t actually prove the Parkland survivors had a point.

But you had to stifle the reflex to vomit at the NRA’s attack on teens who were tired of seeing friends sprawled in puddles of blood.

They weren’t out to destroy the Second Amendment any more than teen who know friends who were killed by drunk drivers want to close down liquor stores and bars just because they argue for stricter enforcement of drunk-driving laws. They were insisting, by the hundreds of thousands, that too many Americans with violent tendencies had too easy access to too many types of weapons.

And, yes, they were exercising their rights.

In Florida there is evidence that the anti-gun-violence movement organized by young Americans may stir teens to register and vote. That’s a third right we cherish and we can hope hundreds of thousands of young people register and then cast their ballots this fall. The NRA might not like it; but that’s still how democracy works.

3/25: With less than three hours to go, before Stephanie Clifford (a.k.a. Stormy Daniels) does her interview on 60 Minutes, I check Trump’s Twitter feed. He last tapped away at 8:45 this morning: “President Donald J. Trump Proclaims March 25, 2018, as Greek Independence Day: A National Day of Celebration of Greek and American Democracy”

Nothing since.

Oddly enough, the Tweeter-in-Chief, who never hesitates to insult a perceived enemy, a critic, or those who pose legal impediments—who likes to label any unflattering story “fake news”—has never yet tweeted about Stormy.

He has not called her a “liar,” like so many women who have accused him of sexual assault. He has not taken on her attorney directly, has not labeled a single appearance by that lawyer or Ms. Clifford “fake news.”

Something tells me she’s got the goods on the Big Orange Buffoon; and something tells me the Buffoon is going to be hoping neither the First Lady nor Barron, his youngest son, tune in tonight.

Daniels might be sporting impressive fake boobs. It’s starting to look like the seamy story she’ll tell is real news.

The White House denies any affair ever occurred. That would make her Liar #9 just this week.

Daniels may in fact possess evidence, and possibly even a dress stained with Donald’s “seed,” that will blow his denials to Kingdom Cum. True. Stormy is a shameless promoter, a media- saavy performer, a business person interested only in making a buck and touting her brand. She is, in that sense, Donald J. Trump’s doppelganger, if Donald J. Trump sported gigantic boobs.

A porn time bomb may be ticking under the Big Orange Buffoon's bed.
