February 1, 2022: Trump Admits He Wanted Pence to Overturn the Election

February 1, 2022: If Punxsutawney Phil could predict the political weather, he’d be predicting six more weeks of former-President Trump lying about the last election. If Phil saw his partisan shadow, it would be orange and he’d keel over dead. Trump is going to go to his grave lying about the “stolen election.”

Let’s just spell it out again.

 

1.     Trump didn’t get the most votes in 2020. Multiple recounts in multiple states have established that fact.

 

2.     Claims to the contrary, brought forth by Trump’s lawyers in dozens of court challenges, have been blown to bits by state and federal judges.

 

3.     Even by judges Trump appointed.

 

4.     The U.S. Supreme Court rejected one of the biggest challenges to the election results in a one-sentence finding. Kind of a judicial, “Go fuck yourself,” decision.

 

5.     Any dolt could look this up.

 

6.     On Sunday, Trump insisted in a statement that Pence did have the power to alter the results of the last election. “Unfortunately, he didn’t exercise that power. He could have overturned the Election.”

 

7.     Think about what Trump just said. He wanted the election overturned.

 

8.     Because he lost.

 

9.     The former president was only getting warmed up. Next, he attacked the men and women investigating the events of Jan. 6 in the U.S. House of Representatives. “So pathetic to watch the Unselect Committee of political hacks, liars, and traitors work so feverishly to alter the Electoral College Act so that a Vice President cannot ensure the honest results of the election.”

 

10. There’s going to be a bi-partisan effort to clarify what a vice president can and cannot do in regard to counting the electoral votes.

 

11.  Because we might have another president someday who is nuts. (God help us. Not Trump in 2024.)

 

12. And, finally, Trump let rip: “Therefore, the Unselect Committee should be investigating why Nancy Pelosi did such a poor job of overseeing security [before the attack of Mob Trump] and why Mike Pence did not send back the votes for recertification or approval, in that it has now been shown he clearly had the right to do so!”
